I would work hard against the current of opposition, using all my energy for people, places and things that were not for me. My true wisdom has come in these years of letting go. There is a time for doing, there is a time for being, and eventually, there is a time for nothing at all. unfortunately you will never know the heaven this place was in the 60;s and early 70;s before the alternative culture started moving in , it's my home town , so I know what I am talking about .it was a true heaven back then , as I am nearly 70 now I venture into town a little as possible.
What is the alternative culture?
I believe it used to be a little fishing village? Alternative culture was very evident when l first went there, but I loved it. Now that it's become a resort for the wealthy, I doubt I will ever return.

Your new sunglasses look great on u. I have bought a new pair of sunglasses every year for myself, for about the last 6 years. It’s something I look forward to. My kids always tell me that it’s ridiculous, but it brings me joy so I don’t care.

I had a VERY nice pair years ago and lost them after a week. Plus I've broken too many readers to trust myself with nice specs. I only wear cheapies now. I’m pretty uncoordinated generally but lucky for me I mostly keep my glasses safe. 😅
I highly recommend Glossier. They have a cream blush called cloud paint. A little goes a long way, and I've used it as a matte lipstick also! They have great no-makeup makeup, and some fun festive colorful stuff too. I use 3 of their cream eyeshadow sticks. A matte one for the base color, (it matches my skin pretty well, and juat helps my eyelids not look veiny like they do bare,) a dark metallic brown for the outer corners, and a light metallic pearly color for a highlight. Very minimalist friendly that way! (I don't mind doing my makeup the same way, and only doing more colorful looks for
Holidays or special occasions.) They have a pretty cornflower blue in the mattes that you might enjoy!

When makeup like blush breaks, and it was expensive, lovely, will be difficult to replace, or all three (as in "I want to salvage it") I take a clean empty pot, crush the broken makeup, and continue using it with a brush or sponge. This only works, though, if it got contaminated or if you hated it and do not mind tgrowing it away

My favourite thing about this place was the French creperie and the little art gallery. Or the hinterland.
Everything else was too expensive. It was also summer and overcrowded. At the time there was only one dirty public toilet that smelt like marijuana. I'm sure if you can afford the resorts or holiday homes it is a peaceful experience.
