Sorry… I preferred the original finish. The painted panels did not add to the beauty of the piece. And in the process of “restyling”, one of the beautiful large glass doors broke! I prefer “restoration” rather than “restyling”.

EDIT: I hadn’t seen your explanation, before I commented…understood. 🫡 In the United States similar greens are known as hospital or institutional greens, so illicit much distaste. I would have to see where its final destination is, before I could assess the choice…it may very well work in the right setting.

I don’t think that I’ve seen you paint good condition wood before. So I went to the comments and found that it was a wallpaper match. Lovely job and I particularly liked how you masked the glass break.

Nice cover for glass; interesting effect with stencils; would never have imagined the shade of green for shelves and outer corpus to blend/highlight the restored stain. These facts all point to why you're good/better/best at this work than some. 🎉🎉😊😊

With the Right Glue, You can Fix Anything! Even Glass, which I Didn't Know You could do! A Nice Solution on Hiding the Crack! The Green paint gives it a more Modern look. Very Nice!

I would keep the original and not use the green paint. But you kept the original glass harmoniously. Either way, you are the craftsman/carpenter and you did your best. Congratulations for your work.

Jamás arruinaría con pintura una pieza tan linda, menos en ese color, tampoco le pondría stencil, excepto en el vidrio, que disimuló muy bien la grieta. Pero en gustos no hay nada escrito. Saludos desde Valdivia al sur de Chile 🇨🇱

Nothing to do with your work.... the shelf at the bottom & curved glass frame seem to be out of sync. It's that common in the furniture you work on?
Hi, every now and then I try to go outside the mold of the restoration, (besides, I was asked to paint this piece of furniture in that way. However, it is not very common furniture, it should date back to the 1950s/60s and the glass was made like this.
I would want that for myself. How lovely. Your techniques are different but the results are beautiful

C'était vraiment pas la peine de démonter les vitres, vu leur âge et leur finesse, elles avaient toutes les chances de casser... et c'est ce qui s'est produit surtout que vous n'avez pas fait grand chose sur les portes. Je pense que peut être un jour quelqu'un redécouvrira la beauté du bois derrière cette peinture verte, et redonnera à cette vitrine son charme originel... Je préfère vos autres videos.

E' una vetrina italiana anni Cinquanta (ancora prodotta negli anni Sessanta), imitante i mobili inglesi. Hai fatto bene a sbizzarrirti, tanto il valore intrinseco del mobile è relativamente basso ed è probabile che non sarebbe aumentato mai.

Зачем такой ужасный зеленый цвет?
Пришлось сделать зеленым, потому что предмет мебели нужно было разместить в доме с зелеными обоями.
