In this tutorial, we'll show you how to develop a web-based application, embed it to your WordPress website using a database platform called Caspio, and develop it without writing a single line of code. We'll also show you how to integrate a Google Map to pinpoint the location of your database records. This is a full on tutorial on how to make a WordPress website and application using Caspio's point-and-click tools.

I really like this video. it gave me a great insight into working on databases and later link it to my wordpress website. However, I need to know more about taking inputs from mobile devices to store information that could be found particularly on phone such as GPS location.

@@CaspioInc we are looking to use this to create forms for casting calls for actors. So producers would fill out the form with all the information about the project and that would go out to the actors in an email. We would also like the actors to be able to search for casting calls so the Information captured by the form would have to be able to be displayed

When I copy the code via the embed route by copy and paste onto the WordPress and I go to preview it it only shows me the code all written out and not the form i created in caspio. In caspio preview of the form it was perfect but again when i copy the code to WordPress it is staying as code...any Idea of what I may be doing wrong. Look forward to hopefully resolving this technical issue so I can complete my website.

I was very pleased with this presentation. It's a new discovery for me. This one has a lot of flexibility that actually allow to go fast.
But can we actually develop applications with external DBMS? and possibly multi-interface application (mobile and desktop) on wordpress?
Hi, Jean - Caspio's DataPages (forms and reports) can be made responsive by adding an additional layer of CSS to your DataPages. For details, please visit this article from our knowledge-base: howto.caspio.com/tech-tips-and-articles/responsive-datapages-overview/ The DataPages that you create are linked to Caspio's MS SQL DB, so unless you're planning on using APIs to push data to another source, we recommend that you use Caspio's hosted DB.

I noticed that the Cassio Word Press plugin is very outdated. Is there any plans to update this? How often would Word Press users concerned with security expect Caspio to update their plugins?

Hi, great video ... but there would be some plugin that the user selected or digitalized the state and the city and it appears the files in question, example the stores of that region, for wordpress

The answer to your question is rather simple, you will need to have a Caspio account (free or paid) in order to continue using the embedded DataPages on your WordPress (or other CMS) website. Is there a way to import a database built on Caspio into Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform? I'm trying to build a simple online subscription website on Wordpress instance and have to connect an AWS or Google RDS Database to it somehow for a class project. I don't know any coding so working with MySQL and Oracle is really confusing. I was wondering if there was a way to do this. I found your video really helpful by the way.

Also, since Caspio applications are linked to the DB that we host, it wouldn't make sense for you to use Caspio with AWS or Google RDS. We hope this helps. Is there some way to add some rating to all the doctors and rank them by it in search?
Hi, Michel - sure there is. You'll likely need an additional database table for ratings. You'll need to link the ratings and doctors table by Doctor_ID to create a one-to-many relationship where one doctor can have multiple ratings. It's a slightly more advanced set up that uses query string parameters but it can be done. Please reach out to our team for support. can I integrate payments with my local mobile service providers
Hi, Rahma. You might be able to do this via Zapier (zapier.com). Data that's submitted via a Caspio form is sent to your payment gateway via Zapier. At the moment they integrate with PayPal, so hopefully, that will be sufficient for your needs. Building your website or app is simple.
The challenging part is the data.
You need to import the data to your tables. And the data should be always updated because some land property owners will change everyday or every week.
I believe you need to get the landowner data from the Government Department who take care of properties ( Department of land resources )

I want to create a website where Hospital authorities can submit details of Bio Medical Waste on a Daily basis through my website.
First, all hospitals have to register to my website and once they are logged in to the website, they need to fill up the form ( which will have the details of Bio Medical Waste they have collected on a daily basis )
Once I have these data from the users ( Hospitals ), I want to do a bit more manipulation like creating a report in different format ( PDF, excel, CSC etc ).
Is it possible to collect specific fields from the form submitted and display them in the report ?
How do I apply custom logic ( a function or a method ) in the reports ?
Can I implement different Home page for every Hospital ?
How to set session time out for logged in sessions ?

Hi there -- the buttons are automatically generated when you create a form inside Caspio. Did you create a form yet? If so, you should be able to see the button below your fields. I'm not sure if you're referring to the button itself or the way the button is styled? Thank you!

Hi, David. That's a great question! You can also pass the name of the doctor inside the URL (not just the ID). Once you pass 2 parameters, you can "catch" both of them on the subsequent page. See this tutorial from our knowledgebase on how to pass multiple values: howto.caspio.com/parameters/parameters-as-query-string-values/ Inside your submission form you'll later insert a "header and footer" and inside the header you'll add your parameter as [@name] if that's what you chose as your parameter name. Storing password as Plaintext. Is there something that we can hash this with.
Hi. In the video we use a "password" data type in order to encrypt the password. This is done for security reasons. Are you trying to store the password as plain text?
