Troubleshooting P2191 & P0420 Check Engine Light (Hyundai Veloster)

If you're getting poor gas mileage and you're throwing a P2191 or P0420 then you've stumbled upon the right video. In this video I go over some important things to consider. The P2191 CODE: "System Too Lean at Higher Load Bank 1" is simply telling you there's either a problem with the O2 Sensor closest to the cylinder head, or it's detecting a lean air/fuel mixture.
The P0420 CODE: "Catalyst System Efficiency below Threshold Bank 1" usually comes up when ever Bank 1 O2 has an error. The two go hand-in hand. It's letting you know there's something wrong with the fuel or exhaust system.

​@jayglock6099 I just bought a soul with this p2191 lean fault (and p0420/p0300's). All 4 spark plugs looked dark and dirty, too, unfortunately. Was getting misfire codes on all 4 cylinders, however it runs the same if you pull the ignition coil pigtail on cyl#2 and dies immediately if you pull any other pigtails. So I have a lean condition on cylinder #2 it seems. I might just replace the #2 injector tomorrow 🤔
