  • Leaving Murry Bay near Munising MI I headed east along the south coast of Sake Superior. I then stopped at Marquette MI for gas. After that I continued to the Keweenaw Waterway until I reached Houghton MI. On my way to the Apostle Islands on my Ranger Tug R-27 OB.

I liked your comment about asking for help when docking. Some people take it as a challenge or mental competition to see if they can get the perfect docking without assistance for some weird reason. If help gets you docked quickly and safely, that should be the key.

Thank you for this incredible channel! My Uncle kept his boat in Paw Paw Lake,MI teaching me boating as a little girl with safety foremost. You place so much work & beauty into these videos! They make me so happy and relaxed. Plus I have learned a lot. Also love how you explain various boating methods etc. Thank you for being awesome and keeping it real.

I’m glad you enjoyed our area I live about 20 miles north of where you docked for the night in Hancock. Definitely try to get to Isle Royale if you get a chance next time you are up in Superior.

So glad i randomly found your channel i have a lifelong history with all the great lakes , and zero with boating... In the sense of open water keeled craft. I can't wait to see your video catalog 👍

Enjoyed the video. Right before you entered Houghton, the large buildings on your left are Michigan Technological University, the Great Lakes Research Center building is a part of campus (and a fairly recent addition) and is the building right down on the water. Most of the other buildings are specific to the various STEM fields taught at MTU.

Just wanted to add a thank you for putting in the effort to put together this consistent video series as I know it’s a lot of work… and a hello from Florida where we have a hopeful future of exploring the Great Lakes

Love your videos keep up the good work. Would love to see and learn more about your boat.

Looks like a great trip. Just a FYI its pronounced KEE-win-naw, not KEE-naw.

    Thanks enjoyed your bio⛴️

The imbedded maps showing your progress was much appreciated. I'm curious if you find much difference in performance when your fuel tank is quit low vs. full. The Cutwater 24 I'm getting has an even bigger tank (116 gals) and I'm pondering whether hefting all that fuel around might have a significant penalty re: getting up on plane and/or fuel burn. Thoughts?

Keweenaw is pronounced "Key-Wee-Naw". Isle Royale is pronounce "Isle Royal".
