Belated happy birthday to John. Enjoyed the adventures. Thank you.
What fun to watch this as you travel along your way! It was a joy to have you with us! Fun memories. J&J
We’re about to cross into Washington from Vancouver having collected our camper and driving all the way from Halifax so this video series is perfect timing. Thank you 😀
Thank you! Have a wonderful journey.
Some of the best sleeps hangouts & laughs are in friend/family driveways. Happy Sweet 71 to John!🍦🎉
We did the Portland 4T hike 10 or so years ago, and you guessed right. So much fun!
Happy Birthday and for a fun video.
I always enjoy your video content and production! Wishing you safe journey, fun adventures, and some special treats along the way!
How thoughtful! Thank you so much!
Happy Birthday John! That cake looked delicious!
It was. But the $40 price was a bit outrageous
It's always a priceless time when we get to hang out with friends & family 💕 it's also beautiful to see your relationship with your professor Debbie, pretty amazing! 💕 Also, I want to wish the birthday boy "John" the Happiest of Birthdays!! 🎉🪅🥳 ..Thank you for such a beautiful episode. Safe travels, Yvonne 🥰
They are the best people.
@@FromShetoMe That's wonderful, "✨Vibing with your own tribe✨" amen!
Continued blessings 💕
You were in my city. Forrest Park is so wonderful. You were less than a mile from my home when at Hoyt arboritum
Loved our visit. Have a new appreciation for Portland.
Brilliant windshield wiper hack! What causes premature streaking/chattering/noise is when they remain parked with the leading edge of the blade curled in one direction in the heat of summer. So get the hose on the windshield at least once a month through the dry season and run the wipers for 5 minutes or so. They used to be $30 for all three but now are $30 each...$90!!! I'll water my wipers for that.
Good tip!
I loved the banana slugs. You may not know that you also have them in California but yours are “ripe” bananas, yellow and black, while ours are green.
Yes, UC Santa Cruz Mascots. 🥴
Happy Birthday to John…welcome to “Over the Hill Gang.” Always enjoy your videos Debbie…We will be heading that way sometime this year. Safe travels. John makes me laugh with the whipped cream!
Thanks!
Happy 71st Birthday John! Welcome to the 71-71 club! I hit it in April! Great video as always!
Likeable Episode demonstrating friendship. Happy Birthday, John.
Hopefully you obey the Rules of the Road - PASS on the Left Cruise on the Right - Flash High Beams when the 18 Wheeler is clear to move over. Personally, the cruise control is set at 62 for right lane travel to be on drag uphill and released on downhill much like pilots experiencing up/down drafts without changing power settings. John, you demonstrate that the Youth of Old Age is young enough to enjoy learning more from experience.
Same here John, 1971 was a good year, and Happy Birthday! Still don’t feel my age.🎂🙋🏼♀️
A good friend said our 70’s will be great.
Thanks for your video. Happy Birthday, John! Enjoy the seventies, 💪↗ - I do, too! 😄
Happy Birthday John, you are like the inflight entertainment on occasions. You guys are so fun to watch. Thanks for taking me along for the ride,
Our pleasure!
Nothing better than having fun with friends and family and some travel inbetween. I was just looking into botanical places in Portland Friday and had seen the Hoyt Arboretum, glad to see you visit there. Happy Anniversary of the day you were born John and hoping the 70's are good to us all. Enjoy!
Off to a great start.
Happy birthday! I see you are getting closer to picking up the new rig!
Sure hope so. I won’t believe it until I see it.
Not that you guys are in a position to do this, but your french toast segment made me want to mention the bread that we have been totally hooked on. As part of our Keto-friendly lifestyle, we started making our own bread in a bread maker. The pricey-but-healthy ingredients bring the cost of a 1.5-lb loaf cost about $14, but the taste is heavenly. It makes french toast so yummy that you have to have someone nearby to slap the smile off your face and the moaning coming from inside.
$14! Dying to know what the magic ingredient is.
Happy Birthday John, you are catching up to me! 😁…Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Thanks Tim. Sure glad we got to see you!
The same. Hopefully we can catch up when you head back our way.
🎉Happy 🎂 71st Birthday John🎉
Always a fun watch. Happy Birthday John.
Happy Birthday, John!
I know you probably already passed through Washington but I see you were in Indianola WA. We live just down the road in Poulsbo WA. We've been enjoying watching your journeys. Hope you enjoyed the ferry ride over to our side of the water. Just wanted to say Hi.
Thank you! Loved the ferry.
Birthday salutations to you John. Yes indeed, 1971 was a very fine year.
I find on I80 Sierra in California, right lanes are rough due to chain semi truck beatings.
HAHAHA! Your brother certainly makes you earn your keep! Minimum 4 hours labor/day for full hook ups?
Yes, but I love it.
Curious, if a person has a pet and crosses on a ferry, do they stay in the vehicle? Great video…really enjoyed traveling along with you and John! Happy birthday John 🎉🥳. My birthday is the 25th and will be 69. Taking off the following day on my vancation adventure the following day
Every ferry is different but on this one people and pets can stay in vehicle.
Hi Debbie and John. My husband and I enjoy your videos and live vicariously through you. I searched through past videos but couldn't find the answer to my question. Are you still using the Boost system for your personal hotspot? If not, which system are you currently using and are you happy with it? Thank you so much!! and happy birthday John.
We sold the booster several years ago and got a Verizon MiFi hotspot which gives a little bit of a boost. We don’t mind being without service for short periods of time. We will not be getting Starlink.
Happy Birthday John. Thanks for sharing for videos, they are great to see. What are you using for a weather app(s)?
We were forced to switch to Apple Weather when they bought Dark sky. But it’s actually been good and we’ve adjusted. Old dogs learning new tricks. 😅
Nice leisurely video. How do you stay so thin with all the ice cream and baked goods y’all eat? I love em to and haven’t figured it out
Lots of exercise.
Thanks for the video. What brand of camera do you use on the pole?
I have adapters for every camera to fit on the pole but I think you saw the Insta360 x3.
We have been looking for a box to hold the microwave stuff. Where did you locate that pink plastic box - I did not find it in your recommended items from Amazon and etc.
I got it at Target years ago. Have you tried a Google search with the dimensions that will work? Just a thought.
Do you have an Amazon store. You mentioned so many things over the years that would be good to buy that. I’d like to refer to various items you recommended.
Yes, the link is in the description box but you have to copy and paste because RUclips doesn’t support hot links that leave their platform. www.amazon.com/shop/fromshetome
Can you tell me which Moon shade you got and what was the name of the video where and John demonstrated putting it on your rig? We’re finally sick of messing with our Ascent awning and want to go the Moon Shade route. Thanks!
That was hard even for me. It starts around the 3:15 mark: ruclips.net/video/eMAZ595IOhs/видео.htmlsi=TPJ6y8bQHPU_BskK
We have the smaller one but have thought about getting the longer version. We also have their “wall” accessory. They no longer sell it with the magnet, but you can get the magnets as an accessory and we like them better than the suction cups because of the way the roof curves. The longer version would probably be better because the door, when open is exactly where you want to put one of the ends. It means you have to move the magnet when you open or close the door. But if you have a Ford transit then that wouldn’t be an issue because the door doesn’t go up as high on the roof.
@@FromShetoMe Thank you for your reply. I rewatched half of your videos again and gave up. Two Last questions: how do you keep the Neodymium magnets from scratching your rig finish and do you find that the gray color gets too hot underneath? They now have a lighter golden hour color.
you could adhere a piece of thin material to the back or place a piece of tape on the rig that corresponds with the placement. We actually have both colors. I like the golden colored one but don’t think you’ll notice much difference in temp.
Gord commented on you saying that you would be joining your brother and SIL for a bike trip. He said that you were getting in better and better shape as you head eastward. STOP IT! 😅
We’re compensating with ice cream. 🍨🍧🍦
