Train line grades above 2.2% are very rare. Your train line cannot drop 10 meters and then back up in such short distance. Usually its roads that go above train lines as cars can handle steeper grades.
@@kenguggelmeyer yeah I can only think of Lee Hawkins and Akruas who pay respect for realistic rails... Also railroads usually predates highway by a century so it totally make sense that if it's the highway that goes under or over the rails
I swear, with you making these videos and with FewCandy now a regular creator, I'm not watching anyone else's CS videos any more. These two channels are absolutely all I want in CS videos.
Best build you've done in ages. Since fewcandy came along and started kicking everyone's asses on the detailing, you've really upped your game! Good job, Ilos is really starting to look brilliant. I'm off to download all those rail props now.
Love this, the detailing is insane, one can really feel the joy you had while creating this. As a cyclist I'd never ride a path above a highway, it would look better to bring it to ground level under the bridge and then make a nice spiral up back to elevated path toward university. Sort of a statement piece for the area.
I remember when you showed the four layers of transport height and being blown away!!! I had never ever done that before, never occured to me, and it still impresses me to this day how you pull it together so flawlessly.
Just when I thought I couldn't love Ilos more, here comes this episode. I just love the whole esthetic! I don't live in the Southwest, I've never been there, and I'm fairly confident I'd have sunstroke or sun poisoning within minutes of being there (I sunburn in less than 5 minutes, through the car window, in winter), yet something about this city just makes me so happy!
This is the episode. I loved Ilos from the start, but this is where I fell in love. From this point on, Ilos was my city, my happy place, where I go to fill my love cup (although Noobs fills it now as well), and I don't know why a knackered old train depot made me fall in love, but it did. So very thankful for Ilos and for you, Egg. ❤❤❤❤
Another great build using your usual wizardry! Nice to see how you filled out the split mile grid with the industrial rail yard and residential. Super spicy!
So I love the railyard, and especially the little car junkyard place. That spot was my fav part of the whole thing. Also, really loved the multilayer, multitype transit crossing. I learn stuff about using the mods each time I watch you play. I'm not sure if you've made any, but if you haven't, I think you could do some really awesome mod tutorials for the major tools common in the modding community.
Saguaro is pronounced ‘sa-gwair-oh’ with the emphasis on the middle syllable. ‘sa-where-oh’ is also acceptable. Find a happy medium between the ‘guh’, ‘wuh’ and ‘kuh’ to get that authentic sound.
can I recommend (if they exist?!) putting cranes around the rails and container areas? and have the container yards only right next to the rails. Looks awesome :)
*_Stop!_** You have violated the Rail Realism Law!* *Decrease your gradients or serve your sentence.* *Your detailing is now forfeit.* Seriously tho, great build. Love the delapidated railyard vibes. Can't wait for the _real_ functioning railyard design, if this is anything to go by!!

Or under the rails. I have to say that a lot of builders make very unrealistic railroad systems in Cities Skylines. Egg is no exception to that.

great episode, the bike bath needs more exits and entrances for access to other areas. there are very few of them for people to get on of off it.
Agreed. Literally my *only* issue with the bike highway.

Great episode! I really love the "dilapidated" look of the industry. 😄 It looks so true to life! Beautiful.

Always love a rail build. Also this 37:52 just gave me huge "All you had to do was to follow the damn train" flashbacks for some reason. xD

Just coming back to my favourite epoisode of Ilos, because this is where Ilos became so dear to me. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
So as a long time Phoenix resident I'm loving the vibe of this series!!

Lots of inspiring ideas. Great episode
Wonderful railyard. Modded OE becomes ever more confident. :)
I like trains! (+ all the trains look like real trains with USA looks!)
Quadruple layers of transport height... yes please! 😍
Great stuff Overcharged Egg. Love your builds.
Great work OE! Love watching these videos, always inspires me to do a desert city build :)
Amazing! Really enjoyed that episode 🙏
Ilos and Clearwater County are by far the best builds in the Cities Skylines multiverse
Lovely Build. Can I recommend just taking out a patch of the parking spaces right in front of the recycling centre :P
This is going to be spicy, can't wait to watch this video!!!
Stunning mate :) Coming along just great...Love it.

the railyard came out looking great! I hope to see more with rail stuff, hopefully see a massive cargo rail yard near downtown? great build anyways.
The night shots of Ilos are insanely good!
You should add like a run down area of the city, a ghetto type area.
Amazing as always mate
👍 👌 👏
This is so sweet!

Love the set up for ILos
Friday’s are better with Egg. 😊
Howdie OE from a chilly & breezy Allenstown, NH. It's hold on to your hats day today lol
Working tonight So going to watch it now. :) I'll say it was great now as you never disappoint.
Goodjob egg!! You really are the best!
Check the direction of the zigzag roof. The diagonal part faces the sun, so the vertical parts have better lighting
Nooo.. A tight fence around the stack of 40' containers. We'll never be able to to get them out again with the Reach Stacker
30:00 Bridge On Bridge Action. 😂 Has RCE done a Bridge Review?. 😂

'crispy students' got me laughing hard
OMG the deadly car parks 😂 🥥 ☠
Looks great! Why not a working freight train station in that industrial zone?
42:05 the RA told you not to use a hot plate
How did you get the parking spaces to snap in the parking lot road? I switched to Big PL because PL Roads didn't have a snapping option.
Cidade perfeita, linda!!!
