👍🏼
Green tea, as I have mentioned before, is best as whole leaf (sencha, or shincha which means first picking) or even matcha (powdered sencha).
The green tea bags found in grocery stores are basically cardboard taste and benefit (lack thereof) compared to true whole leaf green tea.
Steep at 175F / 79C for no bitterness / natural sweetness. Resteep several times. 79C is when bubbles fill the bottom of the kettle, a couple of minutes before boil.
The best whole leaf green tea comes from Japan directly. Cheers.
by doing this you also save the polyphenols quantity, as they are heat sensitive.
I'll have to look for whole leaf when my stack of green tea is gone.
I use cocoa powder instead of chocolate to avoid sugar. I hope it will be as beneficial as chocolate.
Dark cocoa powder melted in a little hot water & not mixed with milk is extremely healthy
Thanks for sharing this condensed version Vince.
No problem Ron 😊
Thank you for the info. Happy for following you.
Dr Maroon (83) recently wrote and presented a paper on the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy to increase telomere length, strangely also by 100%. On balance I would rather have the coco!
Me too, and it's cheaper!
cacao powder without alkalis ( ducht process ) has more beneficial flavonols.
To avoid oxalates I take it with yoghurt or magnesium
I was totally thrown by that photo of you in the garden, trying to look relaxed! 😂 Anyhoo, I got fed up with drinking green tea so I've just started taking green tea tablets. Gawd knows I could do with some lipid control! 😂
You should drink green tea, you'll be relaxed, just like me LOL.
@@MyLongevityExperiment 😂
Is have to find cacao with low heavy metals now! 😭😭

I think an updated version would be worth it, I'll add it to my 'to do' list.
I cut black tea also coffee recently, i only use green tea , as i wanna cut down on caffeine consumption for awhile , also to give my brain receptors a break
Try Decaf maybe.
for cutting down on caffein , can try puer tea...fermented tea that actually hinder caffein absorbtion
Green tea also contains Caffeine
Cover fatty15 or c15 please
Fatty 15 is an essential fatty acid supplement?
I read the cacao article and experienced over chrimbo. Having 50g of cacao a day for a month. It was not easy, 50g is a serious amount, I had it with milk. Never noticed any benefits.
I never drink tea without milk, uncivilised!
50g a day is a lot.
@@MyLongevityExperiment Yeah, it's the amount I read they used in the research. After a while it became a real job, but I finished. I may add some 90% choccy, to my week.
