2 big boxes and a small one for carry-on. I only got the ghana must go at the airport because my load exceeded the max allowed and that was the fastest solution.
Yes, most airlines allow 2 pieces of hand luggage per passenger, provided they are both under 7kg and fit under the chair in front of you or in the overhead bin. You should confirm with your airline though.
If by bags you mean something like “Ghana must go”, I definitely think it can save more space because it’s lighter in weight compared to boxes. If you do decide to go this route though, I would make sure to get the really good quality ones that durable. You wouldn’t want it to reap as the airport officials are loading and unloading. Regardless, I would also advice at least carrying one box to house more delicate items and also to use if you need to do some light travelling later on. I do think you can get some light weight boxes that are durable. I say this because of convenience. It is much easier to handles boxes that have tires than something like “Ghana must go”
@@MaryamWonda actually not Ghana must go . Like normal travel bags those cloth or leather bags . That’s lighter and durable to be able to maximize space
@@mimitammy7890 yes. Prescription medications are controlled substances so you need a prescription. As long as it is a drug that can be gotten over the counter at a drug store, it means you don't need a prescription for it. My supplements were gotten over the counter at the pharmacy. I had no need for a prescription. Basically, if your medicine is prescribed (even your supplements) bring the prescription with you if it's not prescribed and you just got it over the counter. You should be fine.
I would highly suggest booking an Airbnb first, then in that time, searching for a place yourself. Airbnbs can be booked online even from abroad. There is a huge risk in renting a place from abroad before seeing it. There’s a lot of fraud and sometimes the pictures are just deceiving. The other option is someone you know here serving as a middleman in helping you view apartments/houses.
Nice content.I want to know something please, when relocating to canada what happens to the proof of funds? I mean do you take it in cash with you to canada or you leave it in Nigeria bank while you relocate and how do you spend the money- when you finally relocate to Canada and you open an account, how do you transfer it from your Nigeria account to Canada account thanks
Thank you! No, you don't need to take it in cash with you. Your proof of funds is mainly needed as when you submit your documents after you've been invited to apply. You should bring a little money with you in cash pending the time you receive your money in your Canadian account. While moving, it is important to determine how you want to send your money, There are several ways to transfer to your money from a Nigerian account to a Canadian. You have the option of a Nigerian bank (although this is expensive) or an individual that deals with these transactions. I have other videos on this, you can check those out. I hope this helps.
Sorry about your laptop, A quick question, is there no direct flight from Nigeria to VANCOUVER? Is it cost effective to fly to Toronto and then to B.C?
Short Answer: Yes, it is more cost-effective to fly to Toronto and then to B.C. Long Answer: It depends on the airline you use. I'm sure there are flights directly to Vancouver but it's much more expensive and limited. Direct flights like that don't fly as frequently as to Toronto. Nigerians land in Toronto far more often than Vancouver, so international airlines stand to gain more clients by landing in Toronto. After I landed in Toronto, Ethiopia airlines booked my next flight to Vancouver with Air Canada.
Thanks for this Maryam. This packing process is super exhausting😩 so this is super helpful.
