I don’t have one anymore. I used to have one in my previous apartment in Vancouver but I sold it September 2022. I didn’t watch enough tv to justify keeping it, I’m more of a reader.

@ that’s my thought but it’s scary for a 76 year old living alone. I watch Utube mostly (politics) & thinking I could use a laptop btw. Moving from Lowertown 🙁to Centre Town Thx

If you use it regularly and you enjoy having a tv, I think there’s definitely a way to make it work in a smaller space. Depending on how small, you might need to forgo a traditional tv console and attach the tv to the wall or have a tv stand instead Those options will take up less space. If the tv size is a problem, you can always sell that, and get something smaller from fb marketplace (I sold mine for only $100 on fb). There’s always the option of using a projector, they’re portable, easy to love around and would not add to visual clutter. I’d advise before making a decision, you wait till you’re in the Centretown space and see how you function in the space, the best wall to have the tv, measurements and the like. That way you’re making an informed decision based on the actual space and size and not perceived size.

You're right, we really do have a laid back culture! it's a coastal city and we are quite influenced by western american cities like Seattle, Portland, LA and San Fran. Even with what you mentioned with fashion, Lululemon started in Vancouver, skateboarding used to be huge and hipsters.. Plus it has a lot to do with the weather. Nobody wants their nice clothes soaked in rain. Did you visit Vancouver Island? Or the Okanagan (Kelowna)? Those places feel like the USA 2.0

I’m 29 and I can agree they get worse when I’m talking to someone I like or I’m ovulating it’s a struggle. U want to have sec but then you then of what could happen

I’m currently 26 and I completely relate to your struggles. Honestly, I just take it one-day at a time. One urge at a time, so to speak. In that moment, it seems like that’s all I can focus on, all I can think about but it eventually passes. It’s always reassuring to keep God’s truth at the forefront of my mind when I feel like I’m being consumed by the urges. His ways are perfect, and are ultimately for our good and His Glory. I just want to remind you that the urges are healthy, and God in his infinite wisdom created us as sexual beings, we just want to make sure that how we express that sexuality aligns with God’s word. I don’t know if marriage is something you desire but when I’m consumed by these feelings, something I like to do is pray to God, specifically about my future husband and the intimacy I desire with him. In that moment I pour my frustrations to God (whatever they may be) about my season of singleness and my desire for marriage. I cast all my cares, worries, heartaches on Him. If you can, I recommend going on a solitary walk when you do this, it really does help clear your head.
