I agree with these points. I realised that churches in Nigeria (a large number of them), despite having a biblical doctrine, tend spend a large amount of time on fundraising. Personally, I'm someone who loves to support God's work anywhere I'm at, however, it turns me off when churches use sly methods to get money out of members or make it a show of pride when raising funds (calling names and all). It has been a struggle for me though, but I really just decided to join my church in Lagos via livestream till I finally leave. Nonetheless, I'm still on the lookout, cos for me, having a Christian community around me is priceless. Btw, I like what you're doing with your hair nowadays, I forgot to mention that the last time. 😉 More grace 🤗❤️
I completely agree. Most churches in Nigeria preach a word of faith theology and are not biblical sound. They throw scripture in their sermons to 'Christianise it, all the while pushing the prosperity gospel. The prosperity gospel is a lot more dangerous than people realise. Whenever anyone manipulates scripture to push incorrect theology. Big red flag. lol, thank you!
Greetings, thanks for the heads up, a quick one, will be coming to Vancouver about mid next year! So am inquiring, what does it take to register or to start a fellowship group / Church there? Any relevant information given will greatly be appreciated. Thanks
I'm not certain. Different denominations have different rules. I am pentecostal and attend a pentecostal church. All I know is that to be a recognised pentecostal church you have to be approved and be a part of the pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC). Now, the process of all that, I don't know.
Thanks, no body have talked about this, and it's very important to me.
You’re welcome, Ugee! I’m glad it was helpful 🤍
