If you read the article regarding the article the Athletic wrote on Ollie Watkins, Arteta jumped at the idea of signing paraphrasing that Watkins could hit the ground running with Sesko coming in with fewer guarantees while Watkins is an established PL proven player. There were concerns over his age and resale (I’d assume the people either Ayto, James King [the person the Kroenke’s hired to“have picked up the baton from Edu” alongside Ayto], R.Garlick, and/or Tim Lewis) however I quote, “As is often the case at arsenal, Arteta’s stance won out. Josh Kroenke arrived in London to join a recruitment meeting a few days after the Villa game, and a form decision was made to pursue Watkins.” Based on the article overall Arteta is the one clearly pulling the strings for signing and the ‘recruitment team’ (Ayto, James King, Garlick, and/or Tim Lewis some or all of them) are negotiating. I’d want to assume that there are players the ‘recruitment team’ probably want but because Arteta mostly gets what he views as a just someone who can immediately impact on performance and bring something we don’t have (his words not mine) unless there’s a good argument to persuade Arteta of a player it looks unlikely people at the club have as much influence on recruitment as Arteta which might indirectly prove part of the reason Edu left(he probably wasn’t getting a say on recruitment, he wasn’t promoted from sporting director to ‘managing director of sport’ giving it to R.Garlick, and/or getting the job and bigger pay day at Nottingham Forrest [if he still has that job]). One thing that people need to understand is Arteta in a football manager not coach meaning he has more say in stuff like recruitment for example (it obviously varies from club to club) and I personally don’t think it’s wise taken advice from someone who has little to no experience on recruitment (reasons why sporting directors exist) and if Arteta is arguably getting majority of the players he wants (for example last summer articles the athletic as well as credible journalists stated Arteta pushed for deals such as Merino and Calafiori not to say all transfers were bad but this could’ve been money allocated in other positions such as the attack knowing that if good youth players were given more first team opportunities arsenal indirectly wouldn’t need to sign players in certain positions tying it back)as well as the club allows his voice over others at the clubs that are there to do what he’s doing, it’s Deja vu with Wenger only worse when taking into account Wenger had around 12yrs+ of managerial experience in France and some in Japan prior to coming to arsenal as well as succeeding in the earlier stages of his time. It’s easy to understand how arsenal make transfers: Arteta gets final say on players (especially based on articles written by the Athletic and some quotes from Ornstein), James King and Ayto handle contracts as well as look to sign and sell players, and Garlick, Tim Lewis and Ayto negotiate prices with agents and clubs. Josh Kroenke supervises the whole lot Arteta and Tim Lewis are the most important in that particular order. Stan cares but doesn’t mind as long as the money keeps coming in. Arteta is the manager not head coach like Slot for example
Robbie talks about gambling on the season. We needed a striker in Jan 2014 when we were in a title race with Liverpool and City. We gambled, we failed. We needed a good transfer window in 2015-16, bought only Cech and that was it. We gambled, we failed. 2022, when Auba was kicked out, we needed a striker to replace him. We didn't and just had Eddie. We gambled, we failed. This season, we needed a striker. We gambled and so far it's failed. This club has gambled so much in the last 10 years and it hasn't worked. If we don't win anything again serious questions have to be asked by the manager and ownership of the club
What I didn't appreciate is when Haaland scored, in the next second Curtis was screaming like a mad man "This is on the manager!" D4fuk was that? How is Saliba getting dunked being too static by the giant on the manager? It's a defensive mistake, man lost his marker.
I’m surprised Arteta didn’t at least get someone on loan even if its just as cover for Havertz. The Watkins deal was really just Villa covering their bases in case the Duran move fell through.
I can see a Declan rice type signing this summer. It doesn't make sense this window unless it meant jeopardising the summer plan. I will reserve judgment until next summer. It doesn't make it right. I wouldn't be surprised now if something big happens this summer.
It's not 14.. It's 15 goals. He can get 20 goals but the chances he miss is the issue here . Let's hope our wingers step up and Ethan can score more bangers
I understand why people get annoyed with Robbie and think he has sold AFTV to Arsenal Even I get annoyed with his excuses but I have never heard him say he needs to get ready for an Arsenal Press Conference They go to the State (US) ones But never in the UK
My great grandmother could get 20 goals in all comps playing upfront for AFC! Particularly at this elite sport level & on £100-200k a week salary.... This nonsense that 20 is a solid milestone is comical.
Arteta gets paid 15m a year so rhe only ones they board have let down is the fans . Whos support makes the club a lot of money. Football clubs are worth nothing without the fans
Robbie with his pathetic excuses why arsenal didn’t sign anyone.. he’s the same guy who said “he’s got sources” who said arsenal were gonna sign someone, just as bad for false hope.
We were always tight on PSR according to our declared losses over the past three seasons. At the end of this season, the lump sum we paid to West Ham for Declan Rice is off the books meaning we can spend more this summer. The negligence of these guys, angering the fanbase for no reason is atrocious.
Doesn’t change the fact Arteta could have got a loan deal done if only as cover in case Havertz got injured. Besides, it doesn’t help you this season and people have been saying you needed another option up front since last year.
Actually reports came out that Arsenal are in one the best positions with PSR, they had money due to the supposed "Watkins" bid. Stop finding excuses that are not actually facts. You can support whilst criticising. I don't genuinely get this mentality, KSE can literally sleep with your girlfriend and you guys would still see the positive 😩
I agree with the board on this one. No point wasting money on mediocre striker. We are 9 point behind. I don't think we will be catching Liverpool this year But if they don't bring in a top striker in summer, give them hell
@jandrex007 Arteta CLEARLY STATED he wanted a striker... He has not been here for 22 years and is trying his best to get us back at the VERY TOP. Respect his CLASS n HIS LOVE FOR ARSENAL...
@@dynamikshotz9307 panic buy he’s had two transfer windows now to address the striker situation and failed instead we waste money in merino and calafiori. It’s a joke
THIS HAS BEEN THE BEST LIVE! NEED THIS LINE UP + TURKISH IN A PODCAST
Been with my gf for 2 years and yesterday she said , arsenal fans have been saying every week they need a striker ever since we got toger
i jsut realized these 4 should have a weekly show and it would be actually good. Keep it up lads. but also take my suggestion seriously thanks
Not enough company men.... AFTV needs to be pro arteta, otherwise Robbie doesn't get paid

Exactly, the worst gamblers in history. They don't ever learn, and the percentage of the fans continuously eat up this nonsense everytime

He was talking about the fact that we sat back and allowed City to take control after we scored the 1st, which was true
Saliba will be upfront soon as part of cone man internal solutions.
Yeah i miss the 6 year period before arteta where we didnt take a single point from city. Grest days 😅😅😅😅
Crucial Robbie 😂 That was a great stream
Finally Robbie!!
It seems that in the summer ⛱️ it will be quite good for some signings!!
Love this show already!
Good point robbie but remember you rated the window with a seven which was way out
When the owners saw 5-1 Vs City they were like nah no wasting millions for now!
No good player was available sadly. Hopefully in the summer we get good players in!
Big up my LS Bros. Met C in DC. Bigup.
The King 👑 Henry!

Arsenal Owners just want top 4
Wegner was simply a genius.

Mon petit ami a essayé de répéter l'astuce de cette vidéo, et maintenant nous avons un nouveau plan pour ne pas essayer à nouveau✨
We are fine without anyone
Gabriel Jesus has been unlucky as a striker at Arsenal !
And also boys Gabriel is a better defender than saliva by far he is our Tony adams
This show should be called

Yo , the owners didn't give Arteta what he needed!

No, that's complete rubbish. Arteta will not panic buy, only most the fans that have no idea about the complexity of this business🙄
Fickle fans bro...
Dont get me wrong i did want a striker... but not if it messed up a potential ISAK OR OTHER TOP NUMBER 9 SUMMER SIGNING 👊🏽😎
Ok bugs bunny but 22 years without a title bugs bunny

The window is closed, stop these negative videos, and just support the team .. 🤡
I am surprised you didn’t get someone even if just on loan just as cover for Havertz.
