It's funny how kiasu became a positive thing in Singapore. In Malaysia, it's usually meant as an insult to people who are selfish or narcissistic. Unfortunately an entire race sometimes gets stereotyped as being kiasu.
Examples are like 1) honking the car in front to because it's slower than yours, 2) chupping parking lots, 3) shouting at waiters because you didn't get the service you wanted, 4) intimidate neighbors so that whatever shared area between your house and theirs becomes yours.

@@BadassBikerOwns i dont think kiasu is a positive thing in singapore. it's just how singaporeans are. lol. there are times when I see queues, I ask them what they queuing for, they say dont know. queue first think and figure out later. lmao

There are many trashy chains, steer clear of those. I think most locals will say that Long Phung (along Joo Chiat) is the go-to spot. Typing this in Ben Nghe!

I enjoy how calm and chill Keith is in this. I get try guys are more up beat and "entertainment" but I definitely love their chill "normal" videos too. I always felt the over the top entertainment took out of his "try everything" videos. I get it still gets an audience but I wouldn't mind a side channel of him legitimately trying things without theatrics.

Some really need chilli/citrus to cut through the richness though, most Singaporeans eat them with sambal & calamansi 🙂. The stalls that are ok with you adding condiments provide them (though many that don't would be improved by it 😂)
Every time Keith and Mike eat together, it feels like Keith is being spoiled by Mike with all of the amazing foods :)

Tissue packet table choping is like not so much of a thing anymore. I’ve been to a few Hawker Centers/Foodcourts. People now a days just ignore it and hijack the table.
So now the best way to reserve a table is the buddy system. One sits at the table the other(s) go buy their meal.

The Hokkien Mee, how the flavour is so good is that they use the same broth from the prawn noodle soup, and they fry it with the noodles with garlic and eggs
