I think this episode i have enjoyed the most, because you got more hands on with the cultural experience and the music was matched perfect for what was going on, and just Great Job Mike!
I don't comment very often, but,I just wanted to say that I was in Sukhothai 9 years ago. And I met the same grandma at 20:41 back then--she was so nice. 9 years later, (and after watching your videos), I appreciate the simplicity and humbleness of Sukhothai. Thanks Mike!
I was an exchange student 10 years ago in Sukhothai. I am so happy you represented this area to more people. Keep on doing ... eh wait ...eating your way through the world of deliciousness. Love from Germany
This EP made me feel a bit homesick. :D But loved the way you delivered the importance of giving and taking in our culture...and also your appetite is amazing....
You can't beat eating local Thai food in Thailand. Some can be a shock to the senses at first but before long you're hooked. They just know how to create the perfect balance of flavours and textures. Truly wish I'll be able to visit again in the foreseeable future
Thailand is filled with beautiful, ancient history and amazing food! Love the authentic classic Thai dishes at the night market, and the cool steamed rice noodles on a stick. I need to go back to Thailand ASAP now. Your videos inspire me to travel and I have started my own travel channel thanks to you. Keep on loving that food MIKEY!
This is one of my favorite Mikey's videos, following his videos since off the Great Wall, this video combines the culture, travel, and food. Great job, Mikey!
It was nice watching you do something other than eat otherwise I love when you eat but you really seem to enjoy the other activities and it made me happy to watch
How to build a stone monument. Dig two deep holes and tip in the uprights. Cover the uprights in dirt to the top of them. Make a dirt ramp and pull the top stone over the uprights. Dig out the dirt from around the uprights. Top stone is now on the uprights without the need to lift it.
I don't know why but watching the ceremony for those monks made me tear up , so very generous of you to give to them . Touching . Thank you for giving back . 😇🙏🥰
Honestly one of your best videos yet, the food shown looked great but your exploration of the cultural aspects of the country, your choices of music and the way you paced those scenes in between the food bits really made this a very pleasant watching experience. Great work!
I think this has become one of my favorite videos :) So much fun to watch & Mikey's obviously having a great time which always makes for a more pleasant experience 😊

Superb combination of food and sense of place, Mike. I find it oddly comforting that you are better at eating stuff than killing it with a bow and arrow. I think this is one of your best, I could almost feel your love for the place.
I'm new here in YT and this is the 1st video that I have watched in your channel. And man, I love you! I love how you incorporate history and culture to your video. The number of subscribers shows how passionate you are to food. You really did an amazing job! I love food, not only the flavor aspect, how its made or how a dish started, but also the science behind it. I just started a vlog and I think I'm gearing to the food niche. You are an inspiration! More power to you!
Awesome Mikey, thank you so much for bringing joy to all of us who follow you. Your awesome man and loved around the world.. God bless you and your family. Thank you again... Amazing and so beautiful is Thailand...
I was watching another RUclips video when your notification popped up on top of my screen. Lol. No competition or second thought needed at all. It was imperative that I checked this video out. I knew you were going to be eating something good. Thanks for uploading. Much appreciated.
Mikey Chen you inspire me to try different kinds of food from many places of the world maybe one day I might go there and try for myself thank you and one day we meet in person okay
Love the Beyond Science bit!! That’s where I first learned of Mikey, I think the video was the one about proof (or not) of dragons lol and I just fell in love 😍 I’m so glad he does so many different types of videos. I love you, Mikey!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Just loved how mike gave the taste of beyond science. Been his fan from the beyond science and Chen dynasty never ever missed any episode of his. They used to talk about very interesting, history, suspense and scary facts and stories. Love this channel too. Watch every episode. ❤️
My love for your stories of some of the places you video is respected so much more. The tradition of the monks was so beautiful and your respect for them is so mindful. I think this is my favorite video of all. I dont know which I love more your description of the city or of the food, probably both😊. Stay safe and take care, as always your biggest fan from Arkansas 👍
Mike thank you. I struggle with Lupus and depression due to my health. There are days i cant eat so i watch your videos and i can get up the appetite. You really help me eat. Thank you 💙sounds silly i know.
You can really see how Mike puts effort (lots of it) in every adventure, he does not only take us around the world, but he likewise helps every city/country to promote its tourism. Take Care Mike.
These ancient architects also used science...they simply applied the basic laws of physics to maneuver the stones...it is still undoubtedly amazing what they accomplished.
*SO fascinating to watch the same subject (a day in Sukhothai, with some food and history) by 2 major food influencers* -and no means to say I was worried when I saw that both vlogs started with the monks on the bridge, then the same market with the same lady preparing the sticky rice stuffed in banana leaves... But then, everything *really* changed not only due to your own personality and the way you film and talk, but also due to... just one example. The restaurant famous for its Sukhothai noodles. He really looked disappointed with all the dishes and kept saying it was too much on the sweet side for him. You explained that the particularly of these noodles (or other dish, like the Pat Thai, with sugar on the side) was to be prepared with sugar. Et voila! If you don’t like food that tends to be a bit sweet, you might not enjoy these noodles! *THANK YOU MIKE!*
I was there a few years back. It was great to see it again and that you enjoyed it there. I live in Chicago and you probably know it snowed so today I've done a marathon catch up watching you. You always make me so hungry. Have a great one
I converted to Buddhism after years of being a lapsed catholic; it was one of the best things I’ve done for myself. It can be hard to start out as a non-Asian and go to a temple without understanding the language or every single cultural nuance, but if you continue to go, over time you’ll be accepted and welcomed into the sangha. If you’re curious about what it is like, you should go at least once. It very well might not be for you, but you won’t know unless you try.
MIKE you are awesome man been watching your videos since the beginning love and enjoy watching you eat, I just enjoy hearing you talk about it and you really sound like your enjoying your self makes me happy, when I have free time I just relax watch your videos and I feel relieved. I really wish I could eat all the stuff you do that every time I watch your videos I'm like MAN I wish I could do this 😂 have really anxiety tho so I don't go out much just appreciate the small things you do man Thank you so much for posting and doing the things you do It makes my day Your biggest fan Craig!
Thailand is a culinary wonderland, you eat tasty, healthy and cheap food, you can't ask for more, how can you even contemplate about going to a McDonald's after this....
I going to go out on a limb here and bet Mike asked that guy where can I get one of those noodle making machine :) What a beautiful ending to a great day, that park was amazing!
Thai food is so delicious, it's probably my second best favourite foods to eat. I have Thai friends and they bring over homemade and home cooked food and treats, so awesome.
It really is amazing that ancient people were able to do so many amazing things with the technology available to them. All these shows suggesting it's all the work of aliens piss me off because they overlook those amazing human achievements
I can't afford to travel like this. After a stressful day at work...watching these videos makes me so happy and relaxed. Thanks Mike

StarryDynamo7079 but what a way 😂 doing something he love with a smile on his face!
That's my wish🤤😃
I think Mikey passed the food coma stage years ago lol
lol StarryDynamo7079 like that Joker scene in suicide squad, only not with knives and guns, it is dumplings, beef, noodles and 711 foods.

That ceremony was wonderful. So many people giving makes me remember how beautiful a simple gesture can be. Give if you can.
