Loving all these uploads you've been doing recently! It's the Summer of Stevie!✈
Just love these more “different“ types of content, a lot of people do more boring stuff (which is actually ok, everyone is free to upload), but this is so different and you seem so passionate, I ADORE it.
At least she isn't pushing the ads and crap yet. So many have resorted to having half a video of them trying to sell something or talk about their sponsors 🙄 gets old after every video having a section dedicated to it
Man I just finished the first two videos and started wondering how long until we saw the paint started. Low and behold I refreshed the RUclips homepage and here we are, uploaded 20 minutes ago
I have no idea why it's so therapeutic watching you do your preflight as well as flying and getting these aircraft refurbished. Keep it up! :))
I watch as she's not trying to sell something or make it into paid programming or shove something on you.
I owned a 1947 Cessna 140 in 1967 And 1968. It only cost $2,550. A former WW2 pilot checked me out in 3 times around the pattern at Detroit City airport all the while smoking a cigar. It was an IFR flight and I turned green. The smoke caused the IMC conditions. As you can see flight training was pretty minimal back then. At least I never smashed her up.
I’m glad you can afford all the aircraft
She’s a very talented engineer and app designer. Both planes she’s restored are very affordable, if you take your time and research the process it can be very affordable. The avionics are pricey to be sure, she’s so infectious that I’m 100% sure Garmin cut her a deal to promote their line of navcom, gps and autopilot options designed to retrofit these types of restorations.
Am I the only one that loved the old paint job with all of the weathering and patina? :) Still, gorgeous new paint job too :)
I had no problem with the red over gray, chips and dents gave it character, however it now has a new lease on life and will maintain an extended existence because of the effort being put into it … and be safer.
I’m happy this airplane is receiving the respect it deserves compared to the Taylorcraft BL-65 which was crashed nearby as a stunt for RUclips views. That little plane deserved more.
Wow, Dear 9774A, welcome to 2023. You are looking good.....
Hi Stevie. I am more of an oldliner, so I favour 140A. My uncle was docter in town and I liked to join in his Piper Cruiser. Thus I had such a tremendous LOVE for flying, but could only afford to start after 60! Yes I got my PPL at the age of 67! What a moment in .
What a moment in my live!! At 200 hours I called it a stop. I am working and LIVING through all yer videos. Love it. Enjoy and may the Lord go with u every moment. Johan Nel, Pretoria, South Africa
BTW I have just realised I am same age as your 140A. Also born in 1949!!
Awesome Stevie! Love watching the rebirth of 9774A. Your enthusiasm is contagious. You are an exceptional young woman and pilot. Can’t wait for the reveal.
Stevie talking about low ground speeds my Champ Can’t even imagine!
Me trying to get a peek at the panel through your glasses. No luck. 😂
We could see the prop and that was about it! 😊
😂 me too
Wheel pants. “Like wearing heals with a new dress “. I agree totally
Your excitement is palpable! And she’s not lil ugly any longer!
Lol "You get to look at me and me again who doesn't like that".....GS👍
God Stevie, shes glamorous.
I can feel your passion right through my tablet screen! ❤ Awesome work!
Lil' Ugly isn't ugly anymore! That's a sexy paint job! I can't wait to see what they did to the interior and what Neal Aviation did with your Garmin panel. I'm like a kid in a candy store. I want it NOW! I wanna see it now! I really can't wait. I'm just so excited for you Stevie. 😁
BTW, I drove a Peterbilt 379 EXHD for 7 years and it had the same gorgeous colors that you picked. Wow, just wow!
It's a beautiful old bird. Good choice. All I can say is "Go Utes"
"You get to look at me, and then me again. And who doesn't like that!" Funny girl you are.
The reflection in your sunglasses give us a little sneakpeak 😎
I’ve seen 140’s and similar aircraft finished in polished aluminum with color striping and was kind of hoping you might go in that direction. But when I saw the blue and white you went with I immediately knew I was wrong. You have chosen wisely. I admire your dedication to the history of this airplane.
This wasn't a wise decision IMO.
The unmasked upside down engine cowling looks like it has sunglasses on. It looks super cool.
Thanks Stevie, I'm sure there will be a run on Cessna 140A's in the turbulent wake of this video :-). Keep up the good work, anxious to see the final product!
Stevie, your enthusiasm and excitement are contagious! Thanks so much (again) for taking us along on this reincarnation of your little 140! Can't wait (but shall) to see the finished product!
I'd say, little miss gorgeous now, that plane looks like a million bucks!
Love the uploads on RUclips, the full length videos are much better than the TikToks
Anything's better than TikTok 🤮
I knew the Scarlett and Grey wouldn't last haha
Well done young Jedi! Keep it going!
How nice that these professionals are still there with their expertise! Just love it when people like you give these vintage vehicles another chance. Old must not die, IMHO.
Santa Maria! We may be taking our EXCEL there for paint soon. When you said you don't have the rear camera on so you will have to look at me, well that's a nice thing, you are such a pretty beautiful young girl. I look forward to seeing your 140 all finished, great how you keep the vintage look. If you ever decide to paint the Bonanza concider a two tone paint scheme, wings and bottom half of fuselage color and top half white. Beech did a lot of that in the late 50s and 60s but maybe not have one that for your year of Bonanza. Whatever you choose it will be classy and great.
Wheel pants!!! SO CUTE.😻
"You need the heels, right?"
Wow, biggest youtube tease of all times with that finishing shot! lol!
I’m enjoying the transformation. GO BLUE!
Thank you , so looking forward to your next video . Take care , Dreamer
We are Excited as You are bout the restoration . We love vintage Airplanes and this Awesome Content Thank You
TEASE!!!!! I cant wait to see the new panel!!!!!
Stevie what can I say, a flying plane and a pretty gal. Fascinating to watch. I would have preferred LiteBlue and and dark blue but it's your playing honey. Thanks and catch you next time.❤❤❤
Rename it Lil' Cutie post upgrades! Hey 3 axis autopilot (for solo IFR) wouldn't be regreted, I guarantee it!
Count your blessings girl, you're living our out of reach dreams!
I could look at you forever 😊
Dear God she's so pretty it hurts.😘😍🥵🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎
Never thought I’d see you at my home town airport SMX
You flew right over my neighborhood...Welcome to Santa Maria!
Thanks for the tease. Looks great.
Love the paint on the 140 Stevie! I love your idea on how you selected your BLUE paint! I did the same thing with my 1954 Bonanza when I painted it last year. However!!!! My color was Ohio State SCARLET!! You can see my plane at OSH this year at the ABS tent!! It was selected to be on display there this year. Come by and say hello!
my oh my the new paint is Beautiful just like you !
Stevie, you so should start a refurbishing airplane company. You would build an amazing team and really transformer people's plans and they would love you and your team's work!
you absolute tease!!! Love the video, and now cant wait for the next one!!! :) :)
That paint job is Smokin' Hot ! Thanks for the video, total entertainment.
OMG so much love resurrecting this vintage beauty. Lucky plane, not so ugly now! Almost as pretty as Stevie. ❤️
Amazing transformation! Just from the sneak peek I can tell the plane is gorgeous. She's gonna need a new nickname!
Dash in your sunglasses looks great!
I don't miss the masking, but painting is so rewarding, I used to love it, ha, maybe how I got leukemia? A&P at a repair station in Long Beach, that was fun too. Looks good!! Good choice.
OH, my gosh, that was such a great video. How exciting.
Prettiest pilot out there, for sure.
Looks fantastic! @19:53 the cowl appears to be wearing sunglasses.
Almost Lufthansa color, looking nice!
You’re killing me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😂
Can't wait for the big reveal .
Well, I will need to create another granite tile for you with the 140A. I can tell by your infectious smile she is going to look fantastic!! Congratulations ans enjoy!!
LOVE!!!! Can't wait for the reveal!
I love to see old aircraft refurbished and updated with modern technology. I started flying in 1975 and worked in aviation for over 10 years. Many of these older airplanes I worked around every day. What you’re doing is special. You’re preserving aviation history and having fun doing it. I love it.
A good name for the plane would be Go Blue!
Wow, she's beautiful!
Wow brought back so many memories of my very first job in life. I was in a prop shop that was attached to a paint shop at Bankstown Airport Sydney. We had to assist the painters in preparing aircraft for the stripper, that silver 'tank tape' on everything important and non metal. But sometimes you had to deal with a old etch primer that the paint stripper wouldn't remove. That required manual scrubbing with Scotch Brite and MEK. Incredibly horrible job especially on a hot day. This video shows just how much work is required in painting a plane and as the planes get bigger the workload explodes. The tape work to get the lines is almost a dark art. Beautiful how it was being revealed.
We have to stare at Stevie for a whole video! How will we ever survive lol. Loving the videos. Keep up the good flying!
Ego is getting just a bit large- don’t ya think? Less is more
More facetime with Stevie, who doesn’t love that? Can’t wait to see the new makeover.
the sneak preview looks nice. Go Blue !!
Best video ever...wheel pants are fire
My guess: maize & blue...Go Blue Michigan girl! Thanks for sharing.
Welcome to the 'Beautify with Bondo' Club! =)
Based at KOSH, I'm lucky to get a sneak peak before the show.... Li'l Ugly looks stunning! Excellent lines, rockin' the vintage spirit! "Keep 'em flying!"
That plane would look Amazin' back in Michigan :)
We watched all the way to the end and only got to see the completed tail. That was a tease.
HELL YEAH Stevie! Go Blue!
Anyone else zooming in on Stevie's sunglasses to spy the cockpit?
Can’t wait for the reveal!
Very nice, beautiful lines on your baby.
I worked in Santa Maria for a few years making aluminum cowling for a couple of radial restorations. Have fun!
Great video. Thank you for sharing. Very exciting and you have the best smile!
Oh the irony of the scarlet and grey paint scheme.
the balloons on the end of the wing made the painting process very entertaining for me
Wow !!!!! did that ever look nice at the end !!!!!!!
Beautiful work! What an adventure! Love watching your videos! Your enthusiasm is contagious! Stay safe!
Excited to see the final reveal.
Notre Dame blue would look good too!
congrats on the win. See you in the playoffs
Damn more teasing..... Lol Can't waits the verdict.
Wow. That sums it up in one word.
Our flight out of L00 flew into SZP this morning for breakfast at 07:30 and home now. Indeed, a beautifull day to fly west... We could see Camarillo from Filmore at 6500. Not a bump in the sky, .4 flight both ways. Grand time...
You're a star Stevie. Nice one.
The new paint looks awesome!!! I can't wait to see the entire "updated" version. Great great job on the colors btw 😀
That paint job looks fantastic!
Go Blue! It's looking good
Old surfer dude from Santa Cruz here with 2 hours of airtime (1 lesson). Enjoying your videos immensely. Looking forward to the big reveal of the completed 140A. Fun fact: I was born the same year a N9477A.
green and white would look nice
You are such a tease! i love the blue, thats gonna really make your plane pop, im so excited for part 3
Wow! What a transformation. I can't wait to see the completed project - including the new instrument panel.
Well done. Loved how you panned in at the end but cut it off before the big reveal. Couldn’t get a glimpse of the panel even in your sunglasses. Thanks for the update. Hopefully the video showing the restoration will be soon.
The mind just boggles at what the cost must be for all that work.
Absolutely superb job though 😝 and a nice design. Have to admit I wasn't bowled over at first (day 1 of this year's flight to Oshkosh was how I came to know about the 140) but the more I see of it the more I like it.
