My man! Subbed as soon as I saw you went through cancer. I'm a stage four cancer survivor since 2021. Odd how cancer can change your perspective on life huh?
Glad you hear you fought it, won and you're now doing something that you love for a living. I'd call that a pretty massive win.
Thanks brother! Glad you also won that battle! It surely does change how you see things indeed. Hope you are doing well and that you also do stuff that makes you happy! Appreciate your kind words 🫶🏼
Best of luck dude! Just got my first drone, i am so happy with it : DJI Mini 4K
Awesome mate! I always recommend that one to beginners! Best of luck to you too!
Thanks for sharing your story, Merry Christmas

nice man💪I keep my fingers cross for You
Thanks bro 🫶🏼
Can you explain how the specific category works for FPV? i thought you need the C5-6 labels to be completely legal
Specific category actually costs 5000euros almost everywhere in Europe. Every single drone you build has to be registered at the local
Aviation authority and you need an operations manual where the different operations you will do are all described so by example I have fpv drone with spotter in urban scenario in my operations manuals, BVLOS and more. The manual has 200-300 pages . But every single thing you do with your drones is described there. It was pretty intense but I paid a company to write one for me cause it would be impossible to do yourself. It was expensive but worth it
@@ixography ok so you do it one time and you can basically do everything that is included in the operational manual? you need authorization every time yo fly? as i understand it it is the STS-01/02 + operation manual with SORA or PDRA?
Sts 1 and 2 is only for bigger drones like the inspire or agras without operations manual. For specific you just need A1 A2 A3 . It's even stated like that I think on easa website something like if the operations do not fall under open category and you don't have specific category you can fly som scenarios under sts 1 or 2. But in Slovakia all the CTR airspace falls under specific as without a specific category number you get from the aviation authority you can not ask the tower on the airport to give you clearance to fly in the airspace. I fly mostly in the open category but I use specific to fly in cities with airports so the only clearance you need is the airport tower.
@@ixography ok so you have A1/2/3 and you have done an operation manual, i thought you had to get STS+operation manual to operate in this way, thank that cleared it for me.
I thought that too but I clarified this with the aviation authority and for my country it was like this. It's a huge mess anyway 😀
I'm not fluent in english and i thought you quitting some of your fpvs jobs.. 😅
Yeah just quitting the job I did for 10 years 😀
Everyone does FPV??? Where is this?
Just check instagram and facebook, when I started the community was much much smaller now every cool spot I ever wanted to do is already filmed a million times. I remember iceland was a big wow and now I have seen Iceland from every corner the same with Bali and Madeira. I mean yeah cool I would still love to go there but it's been so overfilmed it's not even fun anymore
the world is huge dude. why not fly places no one else would think of? bali, iceland etc. so predictable. why not fly kensington philadelphia to show the open air drug market, or fly a with geese while they make their migration, or fly across the desert where there is literally nothing. or that town in russia thats the coldest town in the world. go where no one else would. i’d find that more interesting. i build and fly FPV drones too. and camera drones. i have about 30 FPV drones from whoops to 8” and i have a Matrice 30 and a mini 3. i fly all of them. i get where you are coming from. but that’s when you gotta think outside the box. market saturated? good, means you gotta come up with better cooler ideas than those guys. you feel me?
@ yeah sure I know what you mean but I stopped chasing this a while ago honestly. I still like to fly but I don't really care about spending money to fly fpv. Now I just film for companies and most of the time these jobs are really fun too and also more challenging. But I understand what you mean man. But like I said first year will be about making money and not spending as I already bought everything I wanted drone related so now it's time to work and do projects instead of making instagram content.
