I cant believe i just found this, you sir, are fucking AMAZING. This is what i want from music, flexibility, being so open and good and work hard to be able to adapt anything to different kinds of music. I cant wait to buy myself a taglharpa, im saving this in my playlist, youre damn talented
This sounds great!! Is there two versions of this instrument? I see ones that are played lower botes and the one you have plays high notes. And the playable string length is longer on the lower notes one
Yes, the bass model is quite popular, although the smaller models like this one are more similar to the origins of the instrument. As I understand it, the bass tagelharpa is more of a modern invention.
I don’t know what it is… but… something about this just sounds SO MUCH like a violin. I’m curious. Do you use a curved bridge? I noticed you have fine tuners on your instrument. I seldom see those on a tagelharpa.
Yup, this one has a more curved bridge than most tagelharpas, meaning you only really play 2 strings at a time. Also I'm using viola strings for a much smoother sound than horsehair. Plus it's maker also makes violins/violas so I'm sure that influences the craftsmanship.
Wow, I never saw this instrument before. Great play!

Tagelharpa looks like one from Anders Norudde.
Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship.
