Today I learned that a Tagelharpa exists. And dear god, is that a beautiful instrument. It resonates with something deep inside me. I need to get one of these.
you all probably dont care but does anybody know a trick to get back into an instagram account?? I somehow forgot the account password. I would love any tricks you can give me.
*As the leaves fall, signaling the passage of time, there wanders the traveler unto tomorrow, wherever the winds flow.* This piece is simply beautiful.
What an amazing instrument... i’ve been doing research on old instruments, wanting to understand medieval music better. Still learning, but this one is really just so cool. There are so many instruments- i wish i had the time and money for all of them.
I've been the same way! There's a jouhikko which is essentially the finnish tagelharpa. Check out Staghelm Instruments if you're here in the US. I ordered a bass jouhikko for 600 and that's the most expensive thing he has. I think a plain jouhikko is 500? Not cheap but not bad for something hand crafted. He has a youtube video him playing the bass jouhikko somewhere.
It is possible to make a simple Tagelharpa/Jouhikko with few materials, though it most likely won't sound as good if it is your first. You can find some tutorials on how to do so scattered across RUclips. Best of luck!
Now i just have to figure out how to convert this to note blocks in minecraft. Perfect atmosphere for a garden forest. Wonderful job with this. Truly beautiful. Can't stop listening
My cat died. His soul brought me here. I dedicate my music on my RUclips channel but know one will watch. I want to die... so I can start living. Thanks for this.Meow🐱
Very cool! I just finished building my first Tagelharpa and I'm about to start the next one for a client out of some nice hardwoods I've smuggled away. Cheers from Northern California!
Hi Jirka!! Thanks for this amazing song! I love the movie and this song make me cry! Can I sing this song using your instrumental? I'll give you all the credits and put a link to your channel.
Extraordinary, mindblowing, breathtaking. My soul is blown away in the halls of Valhalla, and my mind is in the leaves of yggdrasil. As if i finally found the meaning of life, and its actually close. As if you battle and fight your whole life, and finally bury your axe and sword. As if you take a deep breath on the ship, heading far, far to the north. İ did not only love this cover, i fell into it with my mind, living it, dreaming it. May the gods bless you and those you love, for you have won my heart and soul❤
Very beautiful song ! Is the "clean" sound of the talharpa coming from the fact that you're not using horsehair or is it just a matter of tuning and practice ? :)
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. I'm looking for a Tagelharpa, but all I can find are souvenir wall hangers. Can I ask where yours came from? It sounds wonderful.

My Norse Mythology is very limited, and rusty on top of it, but Yggdrasil is the World Tree, isn't it? This is a beautiful piece. Definitely subscribing to hear more of this instrument and style of music.

This needs a nice, warm campfire, a band of travelling warriors, gallons of mead, and sweetrolls to accompany it.
And a single banana slug.
Let me guess, someone stole your sweetroll?
@@gagesmith-ingodwerock Gal bursten it!
Totally agreed
I read that as sweet trolls, but whatever.

The dark sound of this instrument works so perfectly for this kind of music.
Thank you so much (...and I agree :)
It sounds so beautiful Sounds like something they would play in Valhalla.

Bragi would approve of such lovely music! ♥️
I know a thing or two about soldiers and I'm pretty sure they are playing beer pong in Valhalla instead.

Did you ? :3
I had the same feeling a few days ago. It is really a beautiful instrument!
Bro the tagelharpa gives my goosebumps

I don't know but all Scandinavian songs and melodies make me cry. It's amazing, thank you
Just wow. Got tears in my eyes while hearing this - so far it's only Wardruna who has been able to do that to me. Good job guys :D
This is an excellent cover 😀
Really refreshing to hear the tagelharpa being played in tune!!
This sounds incredible! Where did you get this specific tagelharpa from, love the sound
Thank you Peter! This tagelharpa was made by Anders Norudde, Swedish luthier and folk musician from the band Hedningarna.

Under the shady green leaves of Yggdrasil
3 Norns spin a thread so coarse
Fate of man and gods they weave
The fairest maid in all the kingdom
Hair of silver snow and ice
Lives in the heart of every warrior
But one filled her heart's desire
With a fever of love's fire
The course of true love
Never did run smooth
How much longer can they endure
Life apart bitter youth
Lost in a land of a thousand forests
Far away from her true love
He kissed her lips so pale and rosy
She dreams till the sun comes up
And then daylight blinds her heart
