Drake Mallard and The Tick are the top tier of heros in the "making a grand entrance" category. You could exchange their pre-battle introduction lines and they'd be tonally indistinguishable
I have potentially the rarest copy of Darkwing Duck in existence. Few years back, Jim Cummings was at a convention, and I asked him if he could sign it. He said it was the first time he's ever signed the game, and given it was 30 years old at that time, I'm pretty sure I own the ONLY signed copy by Jim Cummings
Dang, I loved this game!! Also, 10 on a Saturday? It’s like the old days of how I’d start off my weekend on the right foot! Even thinking about that as I was rewatching Actraiser again last night for the umpteenth time.
I love this channel. No matter if it's a masterpiece like the DW episodes and Links Awakening, or a just a fun (and hard) game we remember from childhood, every single walkthrough here is a piece of retro gaming history.
All Capcom games based on Disney IPs were absolute gold. I have such fond memories of sitting in front of the TV and playing Chip 'n Dale (1&2), Duck Tales (1&2) and Darkwing Duck ❤
every time i watch one of your videos when you say "lets get started" i always think "lets get dangerous". and now this video. thank you for not disappointing me :D
Holy crap it’s taken me 30 years to remember that this game was the bane of my existence as a lil lad. The only boss I could ever get to was the dude on the sky scraper where I didn’t know u could press down and jump down a level so he just always killed me.
Thank you for the video. This game was my childhood favorite. My godmother got me an NES back in the late 80’s. I was a kid back then. I can’t recall the exact year but it was around that time, for Xmas I had asked for this game. We were in Mexico at grandmas for the holidays. I remember going to sleep and waking up the next day with the game wrapped and placed just over my head. I was happy to have gotten it. It was not until years later however, that my parents through their sacrifice were the ones that got me that game-making it that much special. Last year, for Xmas, I asked for one of those mini consoles that have over a thousand games on it and it has this game. I tried to play it and I can’t believe just how much I suck at it now 😂
Alright, it's time to get dangerous with a good classic game Darkwing Duck I remember this one from my past and I enjoy it. Cheers for showing everyone to beat it.
I loved playing this game as a kid since I was a huge fan of the show. However, I still think it's a shame that they didn't have one more level where Negaduck was the actual final boss. EDIT: After finishing the vid, I see now that UCBVG agrees with me. Also, I admit that I never knew this game had bonus levels, so a big 'thank you' for introducing those to me! Finally, I can appreciate the Alex Mack reference with regard to the Liquidator.
I used to say "LET'S GET DANGEROUS" when I was 10-14 yrs old, and about to launch my bike off a ramp, jump off the high dive at the pool, or try anything that required a confidence boost. It was like a courage mantra. I forgot all about it until seeing this video, and now im going to reboot this mantra at age 39. THANK YOU!
Thank you for all that you do sir!! You bring back the games that i played back in the day on my NES. UCBVG, you're phenomenal!! In my opinion, the 80's and 90's were the best years of gaming for everyone. Have a great day!! 😀
"Let's get dangerous!" This was one game that I loved playing as a kid. For some reason I did not like the cartoon it's based on, but the game I enjoyed. 😎
GOD I FREAKING LOVE WHEN YOU PULL ONE OF THESE SPECIAL VIDEOS OUT OF YOUR BUM! Let me explain, First off thank you for the game side aspect, second you encompass the whole of POP culture, then and NOW and I really appreciate and admire you for this. Third, I've never been able to play DWD on NES due to rental store aggrieGances (so sick of spell correcting getting things wrong) AND meaning, that whenever I would go to said NES rental store, I COULDN'T FIND DWD EVER! So, now am forced to be played through emulation. Thanks for making this video. New 3DS Rulez! it's a portable emulation STATION! (including PS1 games.)
This was a mainstay cartoon growing up for me right alongside Duck Tales, Rescue Rangers, Tail Spin and Gummi Bears and with the first two having great games of their own I didn't hesitate to pick this one up and I wasn't disappointed one bit! As for the other two, never got any console games of the but I did get one of the dreaded Tiger handhelds of Tail Spin for my birthday one year... it was bad, real bad. Alright enough blathering, and let's get dangerous!
I can't fully express how much I appreciate your guides. I know this game since it got released on the NES. But to this day I never found all bonus stages and I also never tried to find good strategies to beat the bosses the easier way. And now it can't be unlearned. And since I'm about to do the time trial stuff in the Disney Afternoon Collection your tips and tricks will come in very handy.
Played it 10 years ago and loved it. Wish it was a game that I owned as a kid. That and Ducktales, but the parents were not very good about gifting good video games at birthdays & holidays.
loved this show when it was on saturday mornings, this game was so much fun like all other capcom disney games back then, fun fact about this game is its based on the mega man 4 engine and helped modify the engine enough they got mega man 5 out of it, a wonderful classic title
Darkwing Duck reminded me of the 66 Batman. He acted like he was serious while being completely comedic. I loved it despite already being an adult when it came out
i went ahead and attempted to play through this a few nights ago. i'm not as good at is as i remember, but i got to the end. you make that boss look easy. those heat-seeking guys really hung me up
OH MAN, MICKY MOUSECAPADES IS RIGHT THERE!!! We have waited so long, and now we are so close! I never played Darkwing Duck, but I know the theme song to the TV show by heart because of how many times I heard it right after school.
Got this game on a birthday or Xmas 1994 which I pawned for about $20 in 2008 into it's original box. Moliarty was a challenge but it was Steel Beak that took days to beat. Great memories.
I love the Alex Mack reference lol it shows we grew up in the 90’s!! I think most ppl who grew up playing games in the late 80’s n 90’s love these type of games more than rpg games besides Zelda or FF. Those games will always be 🔥
5:50 did he just alter his usual spiel of "let's get started" with "let's get dangerous"?!? That's amazing! Also cool for using Darkwing's end movie appearance in the Rescue Rangers movie.
Darkwing Duck was both an amazing show and an amazing game. It's a shame it never got a sequel to either. It was a comedy first and foremost, but it had some genuinely creepy moments, and the game skewed a little darker than other Disney Afternoon games as well just due to Darkwing being a Batman-type character. I liked picking out stages from the world map, which was way more interesting than Scrooge picking one from his supercomputer. I didn't know about that prototype remake. I would've absolutely bought something like that day 1.
I remember hearing that Wolfduck was going to be a villain in the 4th season of Darkwing Duck. Before the show got cancelled. ( I wonder if they will include him in the new series.) Also I saw some people actually take Wolf Duck out of his level and instead insert Negaduck.
Let's get dangerous!
Darkwing, darkwing....DUCK.
Drake Mallard and The Tick are the top tier of heros in the "making a grand entrance" category. You could exchange their pre-battle introduction lines and they'd be tonally indistinguishable
Such an amazing show!
In spanish dub the quote was: Hay que entrarrr en acccionnnn!

I love it when your episodes come out on saturday mornings. Its like saturday morning cartoons for us adults who grew up with these games.
i have the nes and my girlfriend has game boy version
It’s like the show Video Power except it’s just for one game per episode
Dang, I loved this game!! Also, 10 on a Saturday? It’s like the old days of how I’d start off my weekend on the right foot! Even thinking about that as I was rewatching Actraiser again last night for the umpteenth time.
I was watching the Actraiser vid last night, too 😂❤️
@@josephclark7243crap now I’m gonna have to watch that one again too, the bit about the horses always cracks me up
@@CatVisionTMI just finished the shadowrun show myself
@@adventureoflinkmk2 still need to check that one out
I think the spellcheck line was easily the best in this video, especially after it came out of nowhere. Well done.
I'm 33yo, And grew up playing this and DuckTales.... So Thank you, for helping me FINALLY beat these Nostalgic Nintendo games 😊 😏
I love this channel. No matter if it's a masterpiece like the DW episodes and Links Awakening, or a just a fun (and hard) game we remember from childhood, every single walkthrough here is a piece of retro gaming history.
I was obsessed with Darkwing Duck as a kid. I loved the show, I had the toys, and I played the game all the time. This video really brought me back.
All Capcom games based on Disney IPs were absolute gold. I have such fond memories of sitting in front of the TV and playing Chip 'n Dale (1&2), Duck Tales (1&2) and Darkwing Duck ❤
Capcom was the most consistent company with making great NES videogames. 👍🏿 BK
every time i watch one of your videos when you say "lets get started" i always think "lets get dangerous".
and now this video. thank you for not disappointing me :D
This was the first game I ever purchased as a kid. One of my favorite games of all time.
Holy crap it’s taken me 30 years to remember that this game was the bane of my existence as a lil lad. The only boss I could ever get to was the dude on the sky scraper where I didn’t know u could press down and jump down a level so he just always killed me.
At first I was like maybe that is the game. But I remember having to grab those things to make the level light up or some shit yoo
Thank you for the video. This game was my childhood favorite.

I haven't thought about Alex Mack in so long... thanks for the nostalgia trip.
I def had a crush on Larissa Olenik as a teen

the greatest trick Negaduck ever pulled was convincing the world he was NOT the actual final boss
That is odd Nega Duck isn’t the final boss. Oh and I also got a laugh out of that Alex Mack reference!
The music that plays during boss fights suddenly entered my mind just the other day and for the life of me I couldn't figure out where it's from.
This was a good game. Not only another quality Capcom Disney hame, but as a big Mega Man fan, it was kinda-sorta “Mega Man 5.5” too!
I used to say "LET'S GET DANGEROUS"

I LOVE DARKWING DUCK! And I played through this game several times.
My personal favorite game of the Disney Afternoon collection. I remember having this game on Game Boy. Fun game.
Now all we need is for him and his dogs to make a video about Tale Spin for the NES and we will have the Disney Afternoon games all beaten.
Brings back memories of Disney cartoons from the era. Also mentioning the voice actors including the late Christine Cavanaugh and Jim Cummings.
This is one of my favorite games from my childhood. It still holds up today & is always worth a play!
So happy you finally got a chance to review. Played the game an entire weekend and beat it on a Sunday afternoon.
Loved the cartoon as a kid! Never played the game though, but I did play DuckTales and Mega Man series.
Yaaay a new episode of UCBVG for my birthday🎉
Happy birthday!
Happy Birthday!! 😎🇺🇸🎂

That Darkwing Duck remake looks pretty sick. It's a shame it's never going to get finished.

My Saturday has officially started!
LET'S GOOOOOO!!!!!!
There is actually a hack on this game, where Negaduck(who should have been a boss in this game) is the final final boss.
May the voice actors/actresses who contributed to Darkwing Duck who passed on, Rest In Peace
this game was my childhood. got it at 5, Lets get Dangerous!
Played the NES version, and owned the Game Boy version. LOVED the show and the game! Wish they did a sequel/remake of this game...
Still baffles me nowdays that Disney Afternoon Collection didn't make it on WiiU or Switch, given the initial platform of the games themselves.
I just wanna say... Those are some hecka good pups, maybe some of the best. 5:52

Let's get dangerous! Absolutely love this game, still play it from time to time! Keep up the awesome work UCBVG and as always...Super Metroid when 😏
Would definitely enjoy seeing a few Metroid games at some point
This was not only one of my favorite nes games but also my favorite Disney cartoon. Made me smile when I saw it was being done on this channel 😊
Let's get dangerous!!! 🤘🏻😎
I have been waiting for this! Thanks! Great job as always!
Thank you so much for the history at the beginning, I loved the Disney afterschool block growing up
Played through this recently on the Disney Afternoon Collection. Steelbeak phase 1 was sooooo frustrating.
Best way to start a Saturday!
Loved this game. Tons of fun.
Played it 10 years ago and loved it. Wish it was a game that I owned as a kid. That and Ducktales, but the parents were not very good about gifting good video games at birthdays & holidays.
Heavy gas is definitely my favourite attack. I like to use it in Darkwing Duck as well.
That's what been happening to my beans
loved this show when it was on saturday mornings, this game was so much fun like all other capcom disney games back then, fun fact about this game is its based on the mega man 4 engine and helped modify the engine enough they got mega man 5 out of it, a wonderful classic title
Disney Afternoon Collection is 75% off on Xbox right now. So $4-5. Well worth it!!
Fun fact: whenever a new issue of Batman was released, Darkwing Duck had a comic with a parody cover released.
Darkwing Duck reminded me of the 66 Batman. He acted like he was serious while being completely comedic. I loved it despite already being an adult when it came out
i went ahead and attempted to play through this a few nights ago. i'm not as good at is as i remember, but i got to the end. you make that boss look easy. those heat-seeking guys really hung me up
Love the Alex Mack reference! My favorite live action kid’s show combined with my favorite Darkwing villain really made this for me!
Changing the let's get started was a 1000 percent big brain move.
oh man, I loved this game so much, but I could never beat the final boss. perfect as usual!
What about now? Are you gonna give it another go?
absolutely!
Nice choice. Saturday mornings are more nostalgic let’s keep it. You should do more short games like this one.
Super Metroid and Empire Strikes Back for the NES still have not had an U Can Beat Video Games episode yet.
Looks like Kylo is ready to get dangerous! Wicked awesome vid!!
One of my favorite capcom games on the NES
OH MAN, MICKY MOUSECAPADES IS RIGHT THERE!!! We have waited so long, and now we are so close! I never played Darkwing Duck, but I know the theme song to the TV show by heart because of how many times I heard it right after school.
One of my absolute, most played favorites. Also nice to see the sewer lives exploit.
Used to love the show, but never had the game, so I never had the chance to play it. Thanks for sharing another cool game with us!
This game had such GOOOOD music. But hey, it's Capcom after all. What else should you expect :)
