    STAR OF THE COUNTY DOWN made popular by Van Morrison and the Chieftains as well many as others over generations this is a well known, well loved Irish song.
    Track from the SANDS OF ABERDEEN by Jed Maurm with Hugh Morrison and Mason Brown with various photos from the Lonestar Stout shows, from the recording project and from Ireland.

    Thanks for the heads-up about this one, Jed. Faster than I am used to, but I LOVE it! Well-done, all. Paul always does such a fine job of producing, too.

    I'm just the opposite. LOL I love the 4/4 versions, whether jigs or shottisches. This is a great, very upbeat interpretation. Love it!

    Very poor version of the song and very poor pronunciation. It is Banbridge, not Bainbridge. It is McCann, not McGann. The chieftains and Van Morrison's version is by far the best - a true Irish rendition.
