Exactly my words, the Porcelain color is the one for me, I do not like the blue one but everyone is reviewing only the blue one:D At this moment I own a white Pixel 7 Pro.
I also have the white Pixel 7 Pro and I love that color. But I also have the Bay Blue pixel 8 pro and in person it's a beautiful color. I thought I wasn't going to like it and probably was going to exchange it but nah bra, I love the blue color it's so 🔥 in person..
I don't have tips but the screen brightness would be fine outdoor on auto brightness. If not there's a defect though it could only need a factory reset but I'd reach out to Google. Maybe exchange it? Great video! My battery doesn't last as much because I have too many apps and games. And several emails but that's my fault.
With the 8 pro battery in my use so far the screen on time has varied between 5.5 hours and about 7 hours , that is with low to medium use , no gaming or anything to make it work too hard.
I just traded in my Cloudy White Pixel 6 Pro for the Porcelain Pixel 8 Pro from T-Mobile. It retails for $999 USD, they only have the 128gb model. I got $500 credit applied over 24 months, halving the monthly payment price for the trade in. Not bad considering I got my 6 Pro for 50% off, $450. So they gave me $50 more than I paid them for it over a year ago lol. I love the display, I can actually see it outside now!
I'm truly livid. I purchased the Porcelain pixel pro 8 and my damn hand is now GLUED to the phone. I don't even own glue. How the hell did this happen! Close to sawing this thing off. Class action lawsuit brewing...
Hey man! Hmm, the Pixel 8 Pro takes pictures that look blander compared to the Find N3. But detail wise, the Pixel 8 Pro seems to capture more detail especially when zooming in. Both are great!
Bro it's a mobile phone, there are many aspects that are more important than the camera, so to start with that first equals sponsorship. This is why Pixel sales are poor people have seen through the camera camera camera thing. It's about time Google admitted defeat and just built a solid phone on par with the market as far as performance is concerned. A grand for a midranged performing phone just isn't going to inspire in the market.
Nice review. I've been using mine for 5 days now and battery has been up and down. Many reviews say it needs 1-2 weeks to optimise and become great, let's hope so! But the cameras are amazing and have surprised me in many cases. I've even taken photos at 30x which at normal zoom levels would be usable. I don't know what Google has done to pull this off but it's impressive!
@@sithabelamandlawenkosiwodu6298 I've been pretty impressed with stabilisation overall. 5x camera does seem to need a few seconds to steady itself, it can hunt around a bit. But once you steady yourself and focus on your subject it can take some fantastic shots. I keep reminding myself, even 5x is about 115 - 120mm (can't remember precisely) and I have an old Nikon DSLR with a 18-105mm kit lens. Unless I was dead steady in all but the best light, I'd get blurry photos with it. So for a phone i think most people wouldn't be disappointed. Also main camera even at 2x or 3x is very good and stabilisation is rock solid even in low light.
Haha was waiting for someone to point that out. Anyway nothing to hide. I do carry an apple and android phone with me at all times. Apple for my banking apps and payment, Android for everything else 🤭
Love the Porcelain and it's so frustrating that Google only sells it in the 128GB flavour here in SG. Also it's pretty insulting that they would put an optical fingerprint sensor in a flagship phone at this price.
I had mine for a few weeks. I didn't like the flat screen. The software was buggy and jittery. Gone back to OnePlus 11 and love it. I really thought I'd love the flat screen but absolutely didn't . Great camera. Great features. But I just prefer the Oneplus ..I'm not saying the pixel is a bad phone though.
I'm not even going to watch this video ... Every video seems to be just positive comments , tons of praise and nothing very technical . Just my two cents worth .
Actually I see most pixels imported into Malaysia are of japanese origin, in order to take advantage of a more favourable exchange rate But that means no way to disable shutter sound on camera
two things always bother me,the lag switching between lenses(why cant other flaships be like apple on this) and how the preview kinda jumps when you zoom in. It starts really shaky and with bad quality and then jumps to be alright.
I don’t get why RUclipsrs are no longer using a case on their thousand dollar phones anymore. What about a screen shield to prevent scratching the screen?
Changing from pixel 6 to ip15, i got to say tht the brightness of this brand is very week - might be suitable for those who always on the dark mood display. Using iphone give me shock cuz ip is too bright. Next about the volume. Same case as the brightness, it was weak. I always put the volume on 80% and above on pixel and ip is actually really loud Not saying tht i hate pixel, i still loves pixel tho ever since pixel2xl but these are the obvious difference i note after using other phone brand.
I definetely agree with u concerning the brightness. A Samsung with 1750 gets brighter in sunlight than the 8 Pro with its 2400.... Really disappointing. Due to the fact that standard resolution of the 7 Pro is higher and better i would not recommend anyone coming from the 7 Pro to upgrade!!!! The 7 Pro is basically the same phone. And definitely the better buy. If i could choose again i would pick the S23 Ultra - or keep my 7 Pro
I have a 7 Pro and 8 Pro and while the 7 Pro was plenty bright under direct light/sunlight, the 8 Pro is noticeably brighter and anyone who doesn't immediately notice this, I would highly suggesting resetting your phone cause auto-brightness isn't working for you.
@@ArthurZakaryan23concerning the peak, okay.. But: If you got such perfect eyes - then tell me: which of those, the 7 and the 8 Pro, has got the better display in normal use?.. do you really think that the resolution of the 8 Pro is better than the one of the 7?..
@@electricelvis I notice no real difference on the 7 Pro or 8 Pro between the FHD+ resolution the phone is set to put of the box and the max resolution you can change it to. On paper the 7 Pro has a slightly higher max resolution than the 8 Pro but again I have switched between the standard and max resolutions on both phones and to my eyes I can't see a noticeable difference on either phone.
When it comes to display brightness, you have to take their numbers with a grain of salt. iPhone 14 pro of last year can already go up to 2400 nits. And the new iPhone 15 Pro can go up to 2500 nits actually. iPhone has always been the king of smartphone display technology year after year. Of course Apple only advertised 2000 because in practicality, itll be 2000 or so since it has to throttle itself or cool itself down under certain circumstances. Same goes with any other phone. With pixel Im hearing that it's just as bright as iPhone so it's probably doing 2000 nits or so just like an iPhone. But technically, it may be able to go as bright as an iPhone display now at 2400 or 2500 nits
If only Google Pixel has an official presence in Malaysia, the lack of it makes it harder to justify getting it over the competitors.

One of the rumors said thats the reason apple put those lenses together in the left side..to make the transition between the lenses seamless..
From 0.5x to 1.0 and back to 0.5x is not that bad.
