Abel Gance was working with wide screen for "Napoleon" in the 1920s. But the first wide screen Cinemascope pictures were The Robe and How to Marry a Millionaire (20th Century Fox), both in 1953. White Christmas, a year later in 1954, was in Paramount's process, VistaVision. But don't confuse with other formats - there was also Cinerama, with This Is Cinerama, I think, in 1952.
No mention of Donald O" Connor who was slated to replace Astaire until illness forced him to withdraw . O"Connor had previously danced with in a movie Vera Ellen and a later movie teamed with Crosby as a young/older man partnership .
Yes, you’re right! O’Connor was planned to be in the movie. He danced quite well with Ellen and would have been a good fit, starring in “Call Me Madam” with her. Thank you for bringing this to light! I always like to make my content better!
What’s your favorite scene of “White Christmas?”
Happy Birthday Christmas🎅🤶

Ah, thank you so much! I’ll make sure to note that.

White Christmas is a Banger
‘Love You Didn’t Do Right By Me’.
That’s right! Rosemary did a nice job on that track.
Oh White Christmas is the best!
I'm glad I'm not playing a drinking game. If I had to take a drink every time you say " now " , I'd be sloshed before your 12 minute video concluded.
Ha! You’re right! I guess it’s just a habit of mine, saying “now” over and over again.
Very entertaining and informative!
Potato
Oh, you mean yam!
