I know this ain’t a typical “Ginger Billy” video, but I felt like Diesel deserved the spot light. He was the best dog/friend a human could ask for. This video was just a little way of saying thank you to him for the 10 great years he gave my family.
He did because our pets become our family I call my little girl my daughter so what if she's furry and four legged they depend on us to take care of them
Loved this, so sweet ❤ My 15 year old girl is most likely on her way out now sadly, definitely pretty distraught here :( This vid gave me a little hope and comfort for the days to come, thanks so much.
You are right. My problem is that my dog died 2 years ago and I still miss her. She was born with a heart problem and the vet told me she would live a short life and would die very suddenly. That is what happened. She was such a fighter and was so important to me. Can't imagine another dog.
@@DevilOnlyKnitsLace I remember the day I adopted mine, and the lady at the shelter saying I may not want her since she was already 7 years old. You see someone opened the car door & dumped him in my neighborhood. I want to thank them because of them I've had the joy of loving this boy for the last 12 years. Love of my life. They don't know how much love they missed out on cuz I got it all & still have it. 😊❤ Thanks whoever you were for the best dog in the world.
I was homeless due to my alcoholism. Someone in the 'tent city' i lived in gave me a pit/lab puppy. (Her name was Ginger, for real). She was my saving grace. I knew after some things happened she needed a better life and i was the only one who could give it to her. After 4 yrs on streets, i got sober. I got an apartment and gave my girl a sober mama for the last 6 yrs of her life. When she passed i thought i would die from the heartbreak but i did not drink as i had promised her never again. I rescued another pup. I am on Hospice (cirrhosis, pancreatitis from drinking). I know i will see my Ginger girl in Heaven. Doggies are the best. ❤❤❤
Aww... My heart smiles too.. You and one other lady are the only ones I've ever heard say that their hearts smile.. I've been saying that since my twenties, Im 45 now. Thanks everyone. We took care of him temporarily until the owners called us. He had his number on his collar. We definitely plan to get another dog soon.
Diesel sent Bane to y’all. A friend of mine told me after my daughter lost her 1st dog and Shelby was going back to school with all of Jaspers things were in her apartment. We knew she had to have another dog to take back with her. She was very hesitant to get another dog because she thought it was replacing Jasper. A friend told me you rescue and love another one to honor the one you lost. You’re honoring Diesel by rescuing and loving Bane. Y’all have really big hearts!!!
Always! There are so many animals in need of a loving family. To honour those that we love forever, we take in another family member to love and cherish.
I believe that's exactly what happened, and you were able to sum it up beautifully in one short sentence. I read a meme with an old dog on the front. It read "Please get another dog who needs to be rescued and give him the same love, understanding and care you gave me. This is the only way you can honor my devotion to you and you to me through the years we were together.
I'm 54 and will fully admit to shedding a tear myself. I had a Jack for 18yrs and swore I could not go through it again. I quickly realized I didn't like comin home without a tail wagging at me. Your a good human, God bless.
My dad never let us see him cry. My mom says she never saw him cry. He was tough skin. Korean war vet. Chopped his finger off on a log splitter where it was hangin by the nerves & he said it's gonna be ok. I'll drive to the hospital cause I heard they can reattach these kinds of thing now. He didn't cry or look worried. He drove to the hospital & after several surgeries it was reattached. Tough dude. We never saw him cry when his mom or dad died. We didn't even see him be real sad at all. But when our Golden Retriever named Molson died. We saw tears & we saw sadness that lasted all week. We got another dog. A lab. When Thor passed after 12 years we saw tears & sadness again. Only time we saw him hurt like that was when those 2 dogs died.
I get it Billy. I have an outdoor ginger cat that saved me after my dad was killed in a car accident. Vet said he was about 9months old. I was grieving one night, couldn't sleep so I took a short walk behind our house when the cat found me. We sat on a bench & I told him about my dad dying. He climbed on my lap & literally wiped the tears off my face with his paw. He adopted me. He's 13years old now & still protects me. I know his time is coming though & it breaks my heart to think about it. He saved me so I saved him. Unconditional love.
You could have your precious kitty for many more years yet. Indoor kitties especially, live quite a long time...18 is pretty average, if they don’t get cancer, or some other disease that will shorten their time. I know ppl whose kitties lived till 20 & longer! Wish doggies did! But that’s real rare for them. I’ve had a dog till 17, but usually 15 is tops. Put my last one down at just under 14. 😔 Had one that got cancer, so he went at 11. They were all around 20 lbs, so they usually live a little longer than big dogs. ♥🐾 May you enjoy many healthy years to come.♥
Thank you for opening your heart & home to this sweet baby that's been thru hell. Bless you for this & for spreading the word & showing the love & joy to be had & shared. I hope you have many years together.
I feel your pain brother Billy. I had my dog pass away of two types of different cancer. Always remember your dogs in a better place. I wouldn't want mine to live in this society but I have much respect for you and your wife
Never ever did I expect that a Ginger Billy video would bring me to tears... and not from laughter. RIP, Diesel.... and many happy years in your new forever home, Bain! Thanks for the laughs, and the LOVE, GB!!
Thanks to Billy and his wife,he will have a great life. 4 years ago I thought I saved a pit bull too..turns out,he saved me. I LOVE that dog so much. 😊❤
The truly do save us, don't they? I honestly don't know what humans ever did to deserve dogs, but I thank the Lord above for giving us such loving 4 legged angels.
Billy, you are a good man and your Diesel was an angel that sent you Bane. He isn’t a replacement, he is a healer who needs you as much as you need him. God bless you and yours.
I just had to put down my rescue Oliver because he had liver cancer 😢 he was my soul he saved me. Unconditional love means intense heartache . He was 10 as well. He was my mom’s favorite soul. You and your family are amazing and wonderful. Thank you for rescuing Bane ❤😢 I wish I could afford another pup but time will tell 😊
Thank you Billy. I lost my dog of 16 years to cancer a week ago. I found him in a box on the side of the road. I appreciate you sharing your experience, and the best dogs are rescued dogs.
You are so right! Rescue dogs have experienced the depths of despair and when they are rescued they know just how fortunate they are. God bless you and may your dog rest in peace among Angels like you.
I got my pit bull a year after my first year of sobriety. We had Missy for 12 years and we had to put her to sleep last month because she had a big tumor in her stomach. I cried like a baby for 2 straight weeks. She slept with my son every night. I am sober for 13 years. The pain I feel is unreal. We just rescued another pit bull today. I feel like God and Missy made this happen. Ethel my new dog is healing all of us. Great video. I needed this. Thank you
Congrats on the sobriety. A true survivor you are. One of the worst feelings is when we lose a loved fur baby. God had a plan for Bane and you happen to be in that plan to make him, Bane, whole again and show him that there are really good people.in the world that will not throw you out like trash but love you just as you are and accept you whole heartedly. You're a savior to him and he is a healing piece for you as well. Good luck and we need more Ginger Billies in the world to share life's lessons and the love all of us have to give.
The difference between his body language at the dump compared to when you got him home is amazing you can tell just how happy he is to be out of there and he knows that everything is gonna be ok.
I've seen this so much in life. I'm an alcoholic whose been in recovery for 6 years. I've seen people who couldn't get sober for the life of them until they rescued a fur baby. When you're an animal lover, you spend your life in happiness and sadness. You rescue and give them the life they deserve. And in the process they'll teach you so much about love and kindness.
It's amazing how when you loose and animal they send you another. Not to replace them but to help you through their rainbow bridge crossing. Yall are so sweet for rescuing that sweet boy. Rescues are the best I have had many myself. 😊
We rescued a boxer boy from abuse and had him 13 years. He was best protective loving dog. He left Earth to heaven 9-11-22..we always miss him. RiP Tux
Ginger Billy usually makes me laugh like crazy. Today I cried like a baby. Thank goodness you found that precious dog and I know he will have a WONDERFUL life now. Bless you!🙌😃
My pitbulls were so wonderful. So loyal. When I left my ex, he said when I bought a house I could have my girl. So I bought a house 10 months later but ex refused to let me have her. Ever. A few years later, she came to me in a dream, sniffed my ear and nuzzled it like she always did. I knew she passed away and wanted to tell me she loved me.
My ex kept my American bulldog when I left. He was MY dog and it killed me to leave him, but she did treat him very well so that made it a little easier.
When I divorced my now-ex I absolutely refused to let go of either of my pitts. I knew it was coming (he was addicted to alcohol and pot) and got prepared. Before we moved into my mother’s home I changed all the vet records to only my name. The veterinarian wanted to know why and I let her know of the abuse (he had kicked our rescue boy and that was it for me). She agreed. When I filed for the divorce, I told him flat out that he was not taking any of the pets (dogs and cats). I eventually had to pay him $3000 to get out. Best expense ever!
I also lost my pit to cancer and also said no new dog for me,. Then I saw a unwanted underweight dog for adoption and my heart stopped and I knew he was my new best friend. THANK YOU for saving him and being a great person. I have more respect for any person who helps a animal in need.
God sends us what we need. I lost a dog some years ago and I planned to go adopt one at the animal shelter. The morning I walked out the door to go to the shelter there was a tiny little puppy sitting by my front door. He had black around his eyes so I named him bandit. The bond we had was incredible I loved that dog so much. Unfortunately he had some medical issues so I only had him 10 years. I miss him.
My nieces old pit passed away over a year ago. One day while they were at a gas station they found a mixed breed dog just hanging out. The next day her husband went back and the dog was still there. He brought it home and she got along with their cats and children like she always lived there. She is still doing fantastic! You and your wife are amazing people. 🥰
I lost my pitbull-boxer mix to cancer 5 years ago. All the specialists and vets gave him 3 months to live...he fought his condition for over 1 year! I now have a Staffordshire Bull terrier who suffered 3 abusive homes. He's living his best life with me and he'll never need or suffer for anything ever again. God bless Ginger Billy and those who fight for these breeds.
The highest honor for Diesel is to give that quality of life to another dog and let them walk in Diesels paw prints. You have tipped the scales towards the good on this earth. My respect to you and your family.
I had a rescue dog for about 16 years. She was the best dog! She’s been gone for a couple of years now. I still miss her. And if really think about her I cry We have another rescue now and he is a hot mess!
Greetings from Australia, my first video of Ginger Billy, and what a great bloke 👏 thank you for opening your heart to Bane. I believe that Diesel brought the two of you together. That's what dogs do. Bless you, Sir, and I hope you have many happy years with this gorgeous boy. That dog kennel is damn impressive. You clearly know how to care for and love your dogs. Much love and respect ❤️ 🐕🇦🇺
Diesel is so proud of you both for rescuing Bane & using a soothing, peaceful safe spot for him in his old bed. He would want it so. I've had pitbulls my whole life. Great dogs. Bless you, your family, your fur babies. You guys make the world a better place to be in. ❤
When I lost my 2 pitties i thought I was going to die. They were 13 and 15 and we had had them since literal birth. I went through the same feelings of not wanting another because it hurt so bad. Now I have another male and another female that steal the covers and watch my children. Bless you guys and Bane and Diesel
Tammy I'm so sorry for your immeasurable loss..grief is immeasurable love with no place to go.. be good to you...be patient with yourself sending much love & peace ❤
I am 78 and only adopt senior dogs now since I am a senior! Lost 3 sweet rescues in 2 years but now adopted Rivy…11 yrs old Maltese mix! Rescues appreciate it so much!
Thank you for opening your life up to an innocence dog. We have 15 that we have rescued. They will live life out on my land… everyone of them sleep in the houses. Like a family member. We also have saved bait dogs. We have 2 now. Such sweet girls. Thank you again !!!!! We need more family’s like yours!!!!!!
Great video great story love you brother keep it strong Amazing Story. I have an 11yr pit myself rescued. "Merele" I'm dreading the day myself when it comes. I'm like you, I walked that addiction trail myself. Been 14yr sober. Love my life now and myself. Stay true to yourself my brother. Looking forward to your nxt video. Keep on keeping on!!
We rescued two Bullies. One off the streets of Oakland. He's been my best friend for years now. The other from the shelter on the last day before they sent him to the chamber. We just couldn't let it happen. His rehab took about a year and we found him his true owner. Not an easy time but so worth it. How people can just abandon these pure hearted gifts from God is beyond me. It just breaks my heart to see the suffering brought by irresponsible and selfish people. Thumbs up. You found a keeper.
I lost my mother suddenly over 3 years ago. I got my first pit puppy about 4 months later. That little guy helped me so much. Now I have this big 100 pound meathead who loves everyone and everything. I'd do time over this dog. Much love to you and your family, Billy
Good people! Thank you! My wife and I are dog lovers too. We have had roughly 65 dogs in our 44 years together. A pet cemetery in our back yard is Testament of our love for dogs, all animals. God appointed man to care for them all. God Bless you guys.
I understand what you’re saying! Our three German shepherds was also my saving grace, they know when we are down or have issues! I have been clean from Xanax, and pain pills since 2018, Proud of you and congratulations on your sobriety! Stay strong. RIP diesel!
I lost my 10 year old Miniature Schnauzer last week from cancer. Thank you for giving Bane a chance to know the love of a family that is a great way to honor Diesel.
Something similar happened to me. I said I never wanted another dog as well, but I looked at the same shelter photos online and saw a pup, and within 2 hrs, we were back home with him. Basically, we saved each other that day. Congrats on the new pup
Thank you for rescuing Bane. My husband and I have 4 dogs, and 3 are rescues. We have a 9-10 yo lab bully mix that was confiscated from a horder. She was 2-3 years old, scarred, and missing a fang. We believe she was a fighting dog. The second rescue is a 4 1/2 year old pitbull. He was abandoned with his littermates in a church parking lot in Alabama in August. They were approximately 10 weeks old and severely dehydrated when we found them. Rojo bravely crawled across the lot and yipped to get my attention. One littermate had already succumbed to the heat, 2 were unconscious, and 1 was barely moving. Rojo was the only one that could still move. We also have an almost 2 year old husky. We rescued her last June. She was 10-12 months old when someone abandoned her on a logging road near us. I truly wish that we could punish people that abuse or abandon animals by doing the exact same to them.
Thank you for rescuing your dogs from where they once were in life & offering them a loving home. Animal abusers are some of the worst people in the world. All animal abusers should be held accountable & punished. Thanks for having a heart for dogs! They truly are a gift to mankind.
Several years ago some friends gave me a German Shepherd puppy. Her name was Jinx, and for the next 2 yrs she became my shadow. She went every where with me, slept in my bed, went to work with me. Literally inseparable. When she was 2 years old she was diagnosed with advanced spleen cancer. It took me several years to get over her lose. One day I was installing a waterline for ppl that were obviously running a puppy mill of German Shepherds. There was 4 dirty lil pups running around, and they told me to take one with me. I was torn, I contacted my family and they all demanded I take a pup. 3 years later my Athena is also attached to my hip, and I thank God I took that poor lil pup home everyday! Thank you for your story, it brought me to tears.
This made me cry. 1 year ago, 8/10/23, we lost our 1 & 1/2 year old Boxer, our fur baby, in a house fire. I still cry for him knowing he was scared & alone when it happened. We were at work. My husband went home to take him outside, but there was already smoke & flames everywhere & he couldn't get inside. We have since rescued 2 Boxer puppies after I said I would never have another dog. 1 of them is actually Doc's (our fur baby who passed) sister from a different litter, same mom & dad. Her owners said they just couldn't handle her after 8 months. She was definitely mistreated. She's doing much better now. The other one was dropped off at a rescue, so we picked him up on the same day. We love them with all our hearts. Lucy, Doc's sister, will lay her head on me when I cry. Sweetest baby. ❤
So sorry for the loss of your Deisel. It is so hard to lose our fur babies. Good bless you and your wife for bringing the new dog home. He looks so happy. When he stepped out of the kennel he looked like he was thinking wow I have hit the jackpot! January 1st this year we woke up to a little Boston Terrier sitting on the seat of our golf cart under our carport. Precious little girl. No one has claimed her and we posted her on a local pet lost page. We put signs out in our area. No one claimed her. So in February we brought her to the vet. She had hookworms and an ear infection. They said it looked like she was about 1 1/2 to 2 years old. Gave her her shots and started her on heartworm prevention medication. Last week we noticed she had a lump on her belly around one of her tears. Brought her in and they said breast cancer. So we got surgery on her and had her spayed. Poor little girl has a lot of stitches. She seems to be doing ok. I pray that they got all of the cancer and she will be ok. I pray she lives a long happy life. She has been the sweetest most polite dog. Only had one accident in the house and it was the first day we found her. She ate and pooped immediately afterwards. So she was probably nervous and maybe an upset stomach or something. I hope she is going to be fine.
He was used sadly as a bait dog, poor pup. He'll need a lot of TLC, food and pup vitamins and a good check up and a pup spa day. Thank you for saving Bain. I'm sorry about your loss of Diesel. ❤❤❤
@@nomdeplume2213 Because of his condition and the fact he was dumped in a dump. Dogs don't usually have a bunch of scars for no reason. Poor guy was probably in such a bad shape they didn't think he'd live so dumped him thinking he wouldn't survive. Most don't.
@@nomdeplume2213the fact that his teeth were filed down like he said, ppl file their teeth down or remove them so they cant fight back against the dogs they train for fighting😢
I can attest to that! I had 2 chihuahua girls... littermates. Had them since they were 8 weeks old. I lost the first one 2 yrs ago, she was 16. I lost the last one a yr ago, she was 17. My heart was soooo broken! There was a hole in my heart & my Soul! I've never been w/o a pup in my life since I was born. Being pup free was killing me. It took me a year to finally open my heart to a new one. She's a 6 yr old German Shepard/ Lab mix. I fell in love with her from the day I got her. The shelter was so frickin kind. Gave me a leash, collar, food, toys, treats, a harness w/a 2 foot lead. She's a Big strong baby. But I'm training her. She's so damn smart & the biggest sweetest doggo! I know my girls didn't want their mama to cry for them daily. And even since I got my Roxie, I'll hold her and still cry for my girls. I think she understands! Hell... I still cry for all the pups I've had over my 61 yrs. I'm tearing up just remembering them. I feel very lucky to be granted the gifts I've had with all of the pets I've had over the yrs! Sorry... your comment touched me. Hope it's OK that I bared my soul to you. ☺️
I lost my beautiful dog ,Skrophus, a couple of years ago. I said "no more"... I have a rescue puppy, Sasquach. It was selfish of me to say "no more" there are so many who need help.

The best way to honor a great dog in your life, is to give another great dog a great home. What an honor!
I have really adored 2 old special dogs and now I've rescued 4 in their memory
And I've cried watching this. You're great people. Love from me in 🇬🇧 ❤
No matter what Ginger Billy posts, everyone’s day always gets a little bit better, we always love you Ginger Billy 🔥💯🇺🇸
TBH, the ONLY way to stop grieving for a passed dog is to get another, and recuing one is even better. Bless them both.

Billy 😢 I Know What Y’all Are Going Through
I love his stories and his comedy and makes a person's day better
Don’t be so sure we had a cat that lives 22 years
If your baby passes go to the shelter and your baby will send another to you
Thats lovely, God bless!
May you enjoy many healthy years to come.♥
Plenty of yrs left in that cat, stop worrying.
This is what America is to me. This hit me all kinds of hard. Many blessing to these people.
Well said, Nathan. That's what America brings to my heart. Always.
I'm a recovered drug addict. Animals helped me and still do.
Bless you guys.
You are a super hero! ❤love wins.
Chili dog is a funny name .😊
Me too.
That's great! But remember that there is no "recovered" it will always be work and a battle that does get easier. "Recovering" is the correct term.
Thank you for opening your heart & home to this sweet baby that's been thru hell. Bless you for this & for spreading the word & showing the love & joy to be had & shared. I hope you have many years
together.
Thank you Billy for saving that sweet dogs life.
😢Beautiful .....Thankyou to you...your wife...to all who show human kindness to animals......♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🇨🇦👋🏻
I noticed it’s been two months. How is he settling in? This video made me so happy. What a beautiful family!
Not only are you funny, your heart is gold. That is one lucky boy. I think Diesel sent him in the right direction.
Thanks to Billy and his wife,he will have a great life. 4 years ago I thought I saved a pit bull too..turns out,he saved me. I LOVE that dog so much. 😊❤
Awww, I love that.

The truly do save us, don't they? I honestly don't know what humans ever did to deserve dogs, but I thank the Lord above for giving us such loving 4 legged angels.
Thank you Mr. Billy for showing your humanity... Need more like you... God Bless you and your family...
Bless you for rescuing and always supporting animal rescue efforts!
Billy, you are a good man and your Diesel was an angel that sent you Bane. He isn’t a replacement, he is a healer who needs you as much as you need him. God bless you and yours.
very well said! Agreed!
I agree 100%.
Thank you for existing billy. You’re an amazing human being.
Losing a dog is tough. You're right..they're definitely family.
Fur babies get us through some of the hardest times in life. When I had to put my baby to sleep, I cried for months.
Big sweet man. Don't judge a book by it's cover. This big man has a big heart.. Great family. Lucky dog. Praises to this family.
He looks like an old man. Poor guy deserves the best. He is gonna love living there.

You can see the instant change in that dog when you brought him from the streets to your home. He knew he had a new family
Yep. Went right to the kiddo and sat.
That dog is so damn happy it brought tears to my eyes. That's awesome.
You all are more than AWESOME for rescuing that boy! God bless you all!
RIP Diesel. He sounds like he was 100% pure bred good boy.
Thank you
Condolences RIP Missy...
This is such good news. thank you giving another Pitbull a good life. Thank you very much
Congrats on the sobriety.

Totally. I wrote almost word for word what you said, before l read your comment. 😊
and ok it will be
Great job 👏🏼
I've seen this so much in life. I'm an alcoholic whose been in recovery for 6 years. I've seen people who couldn't get sober for the life of them until they rescued a fur baby. When you're an animal lover, you spend your life in happiness and sadness. You rescue and give them the life they deserve. And in the process they'll teach you so much about love and kindness.
Thank you for giving your previous dog a legacy. Thank you for rescuing another Pittie.

You can tell as soon as you brought them home, you can tell in his face he was home.
It's amazing how when you loose and animal they send you another. Not to replace them but to help you through their rainbow bridge crossing. Yall are so sweet for rescuing that sweet boy. Rescues are the best I have had many myself. 😊
Many don’t understand that pets send other needy pets to you to save. They know we need more unconditional love.

I am so sorry Wendy that you werent able to have your furbaby after being promised. I hope you have found another one to love. ❤❤❤❤
I miss him.
You're giving him what he needs, and he's giving you what you needed. Thanks for doing that.
You see the instant happiness in Bane's smile as soon as he got home!! This is so heartwarming!!!
I believe God has special ways of comforting us when our hearts are broken. ❤

Thank you for giving Bane the life he deserves! ❤🐾
Thank you for advocating for pitbulls. You two are my heros today!
We've known 2 pitties and they are some of the sweetest dogs I've ever met
My nieces old pit passed away over a year ago. One day while they were at a gas station they found a mixed breed dog just hanging out. The next day her husband went back and the dog was still there. He brought it home and she got along with their cats and children like she always lived there. She is still doing fantastic!
You and your wife are amazing people. 🥰
He knows he has a home now, the second he walked out the door he knew it. Well done Ginger peeps. God Bless and great show
You’re a good man Charlie Brown
Man, for a rescue to be smiling like that, right away, is amazing.
Hugs.

The highest honor for Diesel is to give that quality of life to another dog and let them walk in Diesels paw prints. You have tipped the scales towards the good on this earth. My respect to you and your family.

Thank you for opening your life up to an innocence dog. We have 15 that we have rescued. They will live life out on my land… everyone of them sleep in the houses. Like a family member. We also have saved bait dogs. We have 2 now. Such sweet girls.

Yep!! A 100 lb meathead that will be your best friend, your companion and your joy. Pits are great dogs!
As a recovering PTSD person, I can confirm, nothing beats a dog helping you get better, and at the same time we can help them. Love and respect.

As a man who's lost 3 pitbulls over the years I appreciate and respect the hell out of you for saving this dog🙏
I truly wish that we could punish people that abuse or abandon animals by doing the exact same to them.
karma is real
Just another reason to love you Ginger Billy! Thank you for being an Angel to that baby! ❤️❤️❤️

How do you know he was a bait dog??
@@nomdeplume2213
Because of his condition and the fact he was dumped in a dump.
