Oof, tough question! All the cosmetic things, players, and features (besides court designs), I like better in Tiebreak. I like that each player has their own unique animation, and when they go to hit a forehand or backhand, it looks as if they are loading up and preparing to hit the shot. In topspin, they just wait with the racket next to them in a stationary position and then hit. That's not proper. That being said, the smoothness of TopSpin is unmatched. The transition between running and hitting the ball is still too sloppy in Tiebreak. TopSpins grand slam licenses are also great. As a game, TopSpin is better, but as a tennis sim, Tiebreak is better. But neither are excellent or even great, just alright.
It’s no contest. TB has beautiful player models, best roster ever & nice graphics but gameplay is so broken. TS miles better. TB animations, movement, serve & flat shot all messed up. TS gameplay is very good but player models are pretty bad. They need to merge lol. Nice videos.
Tiebreak’s serve, forehand and backhand animations are way better than topspins. But Topspin has better running animations for lateral movement. Topspin barely has any signature serving and forehand animations. And the grunts are terrible in topspin. Tiebreak’s player grunts are 100%spot on.
Tiebreak has better roster, better face scans, better career mode, and better serve, forehand and back hand animations. Also way better grunts. Also looks more like actual tennis in terms of the speed of the real life game of tennis. How is it a “no contest?” Lol are you blind?
the first tennis game I saw in 2025 was the topspin one and I hated the ranking of perfect shots thing straight away. from what iv seen is if you combine tiebreaks style which is more simple to topspins graphics but without the godamn annoying 'timing of hitshot ' thing, as if I need to be told that every 2 seconds then we would have a great game.
@@malekat8539 all they need from TS2K is the fluidity of player animations tbh, the changing direction, split steps, sliding, failing to reach a ball etc. TB’s is too janky right now. Then the rest can be as simulation as possible
It's funny to me that TopSpin had Federer motion capturing his groundstrokes and serve yet the animation of his serve in Tiebreak feels much more accurate. The gameplay like the movement, and ball physics and stuff, everything during the point feel better in TopSpin, but there's a lot to be said for the players themselves feeling truer to life in Tiebreak. Like Alcaraz feels much more like Alcaraz based on his animations and physicality in Tiebreak than TopSpin. Very annoying that for some reason no tennis game seems capable of having the best of both of these games in one, like how hard can it be really.
I've now played both and I prefer tiebreak on my initial impressions. It's just a much more immersive tennis experience, all the animations, and realistic player movements are so nice. I prefer TS for career mode due to the grand slam licensing, but TB for general play
i don’t know what’s better, better to buy TS or TB? I'm thinking about buying it, in terms of playing offline and sometimes competing with some of my friends :D what’s better to buy to be honest? :D
I think both have some better qualities than the other but overall it looks like Topspin2k25 is still better. For me, I feel like topspin could improve its flaws quicker and more easily than Tiebreaks. Some sort of amalgamation of both games would be perfect. I thought Tiebreak would have been better or a much closer rival as the graphics and first look videos looked pretty decent, but seeing them like this Topspin2k25 appears much better in its Gameplay. 2k really have an opportunity to make this the best and are failing miserably by not listening to past and present fan base. Thanks for the video, great to see them side by side for an honest comparison ❤
I wanted to play a tennis game so badly and I did so much research before I bought one. I ended up getting TB and, honestly, I don't regret it! They have fixed so many things and I have noticed the difference. There's s still a long road ahead, but I think TB does the tennis thing better.
Call me crazy but I think the ball movement in Tiebreak is too fast. Topspin is slow but the player movement is realistic as opposed to hurky jurky movement of Tiebreak trying to keep up with ball speed. It might not be sexy to the eye showing down ball movement but maybe the only way it can work right.
I love how topspin moves. Characters gameplay is more run on topspin. Tb is just ok for me. I like career mode. It seems harder. In tb it’s hard to be a volley player. Really impossible. In topspin even if your character is at its lowest it still does very well playing up to the net. Graphically topspin is much smoother
its like players are slipping through the court in TB, Topsin has better animations but more arcade, if TB corrects the gameplay and animations is going to be the best tennis game ever
Easy: The tenniscourts and crowd look way better in Top Spin. Generally I think the playermodels do look better in Tiebreak. Especially the hitting animations are way better. They are more true to life. The sounds are also easy to place. The grunts in Top Spin are horrible and not realistic. Cartoonish at best. In Tiebreak they are better. The sound of the ball being hit is also a bit better in Tiebreak. Gameplaywise cant say anthing about Tiebreak because I havent played it but I think Top Spin is only OK and nothing to rave about. There have been better Top Spin games in the series than the new one.
Both games are fun, but neither are great. Still, for attention to the right details, I prefer Tiebreak. When you're not abusing slices, it feels like the game rewards actual tennis strategy a little more than TK. It also looks better - good player design, and I think it's HUGE that they include the players' real stroke animations - especially serve. I do prefer the serving mechanics in TK though, and the timing meter was fun, but I think the timing meter might be why it feels like the players are standing still a little too long before they hit the ball. TK got old after a few weeks for me, but if TB improved the AI difficulty, the game would go from a C- to A+
Topspin is the same game from 2014, with poor roaster. I think the problem of ts is, this game doenst make me want to play.. its too repetitive, especially because all players and matches appears the same. Just pushing balls, no challenge, and no ID player. I will try Tiebreak, we need to admit that they are doing a very good job.. if we have continued upgrades, can be a very nice game.
Well, its still TS2k25. Animation movement of Tiebreak are really off. It looks just a game instead of real tennis. Tiebreak movement is not smooth. If you cannot see the abrupt movement of players of Tiebreak, you have problem with your eyes. Topspin movements are well captured, smooth and simply realistic. Stadium, well only blind can say that Tiebreak is better than Topspin, hahaha. Gameplay, it obvious, TS is better. Ball movement of Tiebreak is floaty while Topspin is more realistic. Player graphics during play are similar to both TS and Tiebreak. Bet somebody will disagree, but thats the reality. The only good player graphics of Tiebreak is when not in game. Somebody may say the Topspin court in video is washout but I think its in the recording perhaps, in actual game its just ok. I bet Tiebreak will never put a goood cloth and hair animations. And more Topspin clay surface is more realistic with its very realistic foot marks during play.
Superior în which way ? All it has going for him is the roaster, player looks and that's pretty much it. As soon as you enter an actual game it's over. I mean, the diference is so big it's not even worth comparing.
@@MrMazaku Tiebreak has better roster, better face scans, better career mode, and better serve, forehand and back hand animations. Also way better grunts. No. Topspin is still the best. Most people simply have no ability to compare things right. Its a talent just like singing, not all can sing. I am not surprised some people cant see which one is the true better.
In the last few days, i cannot get myself into playing TS as i have been more invested in TB, due to rosters, faster gameplay, player models and details... (tiny things, like Nadal touching his forehead with sweatbands a thousand times before serving) Also TS feels very unbalanced playing online, unless you manage a perfect shot right on the line, you cannot win a point it seems, maybe in TB winners do feel more rewarding? The only thing i dont like about TB are the ball physics and court graphics, the only point that keeps me from actually buying the game. Also maybe player movement. However, if TB is going to get the attention TS so desperately needs and should it get some fixed and corrections, we are up for the best tennis game out there.

It’s honestly hard to pick a standout between the two games right now because one has what the other needs 😅 Great vid!

you can assure that 100%? Dont believe it before it actually happens
I mean it has way more chance then TS. 2k probably wont fix TS2K25 so they can sell more 2k26
Topspin player face scans look terrible. Alcaraz looks nothing like him in Topspin
BigAnt have abandoned all of their other tennis games quickly after launch, I don’t know why you’d have any hope they can fix this mess of a game.
Alcaraz in Topspin looks like Pete Sampras hahahha
They need to merge these games and add the ball physics from TE4 or Full Ace, then we’d be sorted
You can't combine an arcade style game with a simulation style game...

Tennis elbow sucks
Awesome video. You might find that I’m crazy but my favourite is tennis elbow 4
Topsin becomes more arcade with each update, while TieBreak becomes more simulation.
Correct.
Both are arcade style games. Games that aren't arcade style are Tennis Elbow and Full Ace Tennis
Tennis Elbows running motion is not something I can get past. I like Full Ace a lot though.

TB hitting animations are way better, more realistic, just need to fix player movement and gameplay and will be perfect!
Is Thomas Muster also in the game? I always liked that old school austrian porn star vibe he had goin on
tiebreak seems more like a tennis simulator , and it looks way better, but the arcade style to top spin is soo addicted

Tibreak doesn't move realistically and has a lot of errors. The worst tennis game I've ever tried.
TS trash
TB winner
