Thanks to you I now understand why! Now I know about twisted stitches and so much more. No one ever mentions to knit counter clockwise and so on. I have saved this video for reference. Always wondered why my stockinette stich was making vertical lines sometimes, and couldn't work it out. Thank you so much for solving this mystery for us :-)
This maybe a dumb question. I am new and have mastered garter stitch. I can purl but slowly. I love the look of stockinette andcwould lovevto makeca blanket with it. How do i eliminate the curl without a garter stitch border?
you don't. The curl is part of stockinette stitch. it's either a border or you block it with starch (but well..that's not really a good idea with a blanket)
Saying this is beginner-friendly is crazy. I have no idea what you're doing with your hand at the beginning of the video, and you don't specify when wrapping the yarn around your hands which side the tail of the string should be. And then "oh just play this in slow mo if you can't see what I'm doing!" but I don't even understand WHAT you're doing because of the weird hand bondage going on. I really don't understand how you expect a beginner to understand anything going on at the beginning of the video, it's suvh an overwhelming start
