Thank you so much! I am a beginner and my project has many mistakes you mentioned . I couldn’t understand why my project looked different from the person showing it. Thanks to you I now understand why! Now I know about twisted stitches and so much more. No one ever mentions to knit counter clockwise and so on. I have saved this video for reference. It’s invaluable! I cannot thank you enough!
well, mostly I recorded this video because I did have an old video on my main youtube channel and recently I received a couple of comments that I went to fast and assumed too much knowledge :P tried to rectify this with this video
I didn't know about knitting the garter stitch to prevent curling. Now my alpaca scarf looks like a giant sausage. Would it look really strange to wear it curled up? It can wrap around my neck 3 times. I'm not sure how else to fix it. I tried the blocking and that didn't work. Otherwise, the other techniques to create the gaps in the scarf seem a bit complicated. I'm tempted to unravel the whole thing and start all over. I wish I found your channel before I started this project! You are amazing!
well....two things: you can either crochet a border to it...or you could try to seam it into an actual tube (using matress stitch) and call it a feature
This maybe a dumb question. I am new and have mastered garter stitch. I can purl but slowly. I love the look of stockinette andcwould lovevto makeca blanket with it. How do i eliminate the curl without a garter stitch border?
you don't. The curl is part of stockinette stitch. it's either a border or you block it with starch (but well..that's not really a good idea with a blanket)
Always wondered why my stockinette stich was making vertical lines sometimes, and couldn't work it out. Thank you so much for solving this mystery for us :-)
well...hard to tell from afar but i'd suggest watching my video very closely one more time. It sounds like you are doing something wrong. probably the way you purl.
Saying this is beginner-friendly is crazy. I have no idea what you're doing with your hand at the beginning of the video, and you don't specify when wrapping the yarn around your hands which side the tail of the string should be. And then "oh just play this in slow mo if you can't see what I'm doing!" but I don't even understand WHAT you're doing because of the weird hand bondage going on. I really don't understand how you expect a beginner to understand anything going on at the beginning of the video, it's suvh an overwhelming start
if you need to learn how to knit, then kindly watch this tutorial: ruclips.net/video/zLSaApeG-vY/видео.html You might also want to check out this on my blog: nimble-needles.com/learn-to-knit-for-beginners/ But please don't start with step 5 and complain it's not for beginners.

Happy to hear that!
This is so simple to start.... amazing video 😊
Thanks a lot 😊
I started with knit stitch, and the next row was the purl stitch. But when I was about to do the knit row, I saw purl bumps. What should I do?

Very good tuto for beginners. 👍
