@ I think the 09's came with the baffles that stop the heat but even if it did not you can buy foam dams for the fairings and they are easy to install. I put them on my 08 and that ended that because they are way to hot without. I don't see how it got by engineering like it did in 08. They are nice bikes but they are a little top heavy. Great engine and the best shifting transmissions...
I sent my ECU to Schitz for the reflash. It honestly didn't do a whole lot as far as performance goes. The bike still had a twitchy throttle and wasn't pulling as hard as I thought it should have in the upper gears. I then sent it to Ivan and he woke the bike up through all gears. Even eliminated the twitchy throttle around 4000 rpm. I would recommend Ivan over Schnitz any day. I waisted $250 on the Schnitz tune.
is it worth doing to an 09? Mine seems to do all that already. Then again I got it used. it could already have been flashed. It pops on decel. If I do clutchless shifts, its nearly as fast as a quick shifter. It does power wheelies just on throttle alone near redline in first. It has good fueling down low (except a small stumble at about 1300 RPM just off idle) It is easy to ride in the canyons slowly or fast, no real complaints in reference to abrupt throttle response. It runs really hot, nearly unbearable in the summer to ride this bike even at speed. Does that sound stock (2009) or has it been flashed already?
I have the 2011 Concours 14 bone stock and don't want to do anything but do the ECR flash, is there different programs to request to Ivan or just say Flash please with no mods.👍
I would like to know if the part throttle driveability is better, like when you leave a stop sign. These c14's seem a little weak at low throttle response. I hope you take the time to answer, thanks...
I hav a concour 14 n l know nothing about this bike, l order a slip on exhaust from Delkevic! do I need a ecu flash or installed just like that with out the flash? Thks
I believe from what I've read, you don't "need" anything with a slip on, only a full exhaust will you need a tune. Some one can add on to this, or correct me if I'm wrong. I'm not an owner.
I would have just left it alone stock. Kawasaki knows what there doing. I had a Yamaha VSTAR 1300 and had the Ivan tune done for $300. Not worth it at all. No noticeable changes to me. I’m leaving my concourse 14 alone!
I have the '11 Concours 14 bone stock and was thinking about doing the Ivans Ecu flash only... From what I hear The Concourse is restricted versus the Ninja 1400 in the sportbike ZZX and I think Ivan's tune just opens it up more I'm still kicking it around and researching exactly what the Ivan tune will do
I have a '14 concours now 10, 700mi clocked Two Brothers slip on and a Mountain Runner tune from Steve. The flash reveals night and day differences in the performance of the 1400 engine. I appreciate all the hard work these tuners put into these choked down machines. The manufacturers have hard and fast regulations that they must meet to sell us these machines. But one thing that does tick me off is the running down of tuners and the misinformation and yes even slander that is taking place. It's unnecessary! Grow up out there and enjoy what has been made available to us out here in the motoring world. I for one will not loose my temper because someone else believes one tune is better than another. Nor will I demean or accuse these tuners. Some people just need to grow up. Enjoy the ride never have we had so many options available!
Your an IDIOT for posting your BS on steve's boot leg flash ! Your a Stupid IDIOT for buying that Boot Leg Flash ! He works from a shed in the back of his house with a laptop and a usb cord charging you 500.00 for a flash he copied from a real tuner that has a dyno to test and adjust proper tunes . gixerman should remove your postings cause steve can not compete with professionals like Schnitz Racing and should not even be brought up in the same POSTINGS ! Ryan Schnitz is proving his talent on the track and on the dyno ...... steve only has a bunch of idiot posting BS all over the internet trying to convince other idiots to buy into his BOOT LEG FLASH !
I asked Rickey Gadson If he would ever consider using any of steve hasbeen 's ECU flashes ??? ..... the response ..... I Have to leave it up to your imagination cause his response would be CENSORED by RUclips NO DOUBT ! ..... G Man you need to censor all these assclowns postings of this hasbeen flash crap !
Not sure if I would trust my electronics to someone who works out of a garage , Schnitz Racing is a bonafide business and has a undisputed reputation at the track with their bikes !
What the fuck!?? I literally just sent mine in and its $200. I have a ZX14. Im hoping the price difference is because my bike is different. If you go on their site right now, you can look and see im not making this up. 2007 ZX14 is $200
Programming the ECU on the 1400 is the same as doing the concours. I work part time for a Kawasaki dealer and have for 28 years. Part of that price difference is I called ahead, took it to them waited on the flash, mostly because I didnt want to wait on it to go out and come back. So they didnt have the hassle of shipping and this was a couple years ago. They are only about an hour up the road from me. Thanks for watching.

I wasn’t selling anything. I was just relating my experience with this flash. But it sounds like you got some useful information for making a choice for your bike. Thanks for watching
Steve S I didn’t compare it to the mountain runner flash. I simply stated it seemed to help the abruptness of shifting as I have heard the mountain runner flash does. So before getting all triggered I was actually plugging that the mountain run flash is also an option for tuning your concours. I’ve heard good things about it. I also live a hour from Schnitz and popped off my ECU and had it flashed and reinstalled the same day. The main reason I got that one instead of yours. I get that Schnitz flash is your competition. No need to try bashing on them, there a good company that knows what they are doing.
@@gixerman01 Thanks for the review. I have been thinking about getting my new 14 flashed. I have seen that there are a couple of people out there flashing the ECU. I was undecided on who to use. I am still a little undecided but I know who i will NOT be using.
Danny Toups the mountain runner flash seems to be the most popular. I don’t have any experience with it but have only heard good things on it. I can’t say my flash was night and day but seems better than stock.

nandor dallos you are correct that schnitz has a solid reputation in the industry going back many years. I wouldn’t dismiss Steve’s flash at shouldofbeen, there are hundreds of guys out there that rave about his work. So I have no doubt that his flash makes good power. The reason I went with Schnitz is because I could pull my box and put it back in the same day. Thanks for watching. Good luck on you bike.
Ivan's flash and full delkevic exhaust on my 2010. I'm curious what yours would do on the dyno
This bike looks almost new, how many miles on it? I had an 08, then an 09 and now a 2011...Other than being heavy as hell I really like them...
Bass Player 26000 miles. Thanks for watching.
I am about to buy a 2009, how about the heat, sone say is almost unrideable on summer, is true?

Bikes looking clean. Time to get it dirty. Nice upgrade.
I have one question for you...does it seem to run hotter in traffic????
I had Ryan do mine. A noticeable difference! I'm very happy and worth the money!

You should compare it to Ivan's flash. Really transformed my 2014 Connie
I think he has a slip on exhaust
good price, it is great if it fixes the fuel cut issue.

the 06 is the ZG1000 and is a different version of software.
They dont open the sub throttle plates very much at low throttle till higher rpm, thats why they feel restricted.
