G rank Barlagual Vs. Extreme Bow - Monster Hunter Frontier ZZ - バルラガル 極み弓 ソロ【MHF-Z】

Barlagual is an okay monster. Oddly, this monster resides in both HR5 and G Rank 7* which are both part of the endgames of MHF, in Elite rank and G rank respectively ; but this monster is really not very difficult.
Barlagual's blood sucking abilities are frightening, but they are the only dangerous stuff in its moveset. Outside of those, Barlagual is a rather docile and sluggish monster with an easily dodgable moveset pool.
I don't like Barlagual's pin attacks, as I personally prefer MH games to not have gore towards hunters ; I'm used to the more cartoonish style of the games we got since 3rd gen. But it is true like a friend told me that back in 1st and 2nd Gen, Monster Hunter was a more gloomy series, and Frontier is probably the one where this is most apparent.
Interestingly Barlagual was chosen for a TEPPEN card, which gave him a localised name. This is the only Frontier exclusive monster to get this treatment as far as I know, I doubt this could ever mean Barla could be brought to mainline, but it's still interesting to point out.
I haven't had this much fun with Bow in a long time, so expect more videos with it in the future.

This dude's one of those Frontier monsters that's really interesting to read about on the wiki, at the very least. I like the concept of a monster that preys on other monsters in a way that causes its moveset to change depending on what else spawned on the hunt. In a game that otherwise sounds like it powercrept itself so hard that basically every other monster it introduced was some variant of 'The Frozen Seraphim Dragon of the End of the World' and the phrase 'elder dragon' stopped sounding cool, I appreciate creative little guys.

wait how exactly does this happen? like what moves change and what is it based on? is it specific monsters or like the type (bird wyvern/leviathan/flying wyvern, etc)

@@ashesofaranea To my understanding, basically every mission with a Barlagual in it will also feature a -drome monster, which it can drink blood from to steal their status ailments, so like in this video it drinks an Iodrome to get poison. I just think that sounds Kinda Neat.

Its just style in frontier,
Earth style, basic weapon movement
Heaven style, high rank, some changes
Storm style, high rank, some changes
Extreme style, g rank, stupid ridiculous requirements to unlock, more changes like able to run while unsheathed
