Zenith Gasurabazura Vs. Hammer - Monster Hunter Frontier ZZ - 辿異種ガスラバズラ ハンマー ソロ【MHF-Z】

- Despite its slow speed, Zenith Gasura is an absolute beast and probably one of the hardest Zenith monsters in Frontier.
This thing has it all: annoying extreme roars, lots of annoying extreme tremors, deadly zenith poison, absolutely massive AoE hitboxes like the claps, lingering hitboxes and some attacks with really questionable and difficult to figure out hitboxes like the sand waves, dangerous moves that come out insanely quick, etc.
Well... Despite some of its shortcomings, Zenith Gasura is still one of my favorite Zeniths. I can't deny that it gets annoying at 4 Stars, getting that bongo move and the fake-out clap. Despite watching footage, I still for the life of me cannot figure out what the tell is for Z4 Gasura's fake-out clap. If there is even one, it's extremely minor. This is why you'll see me position myself far enough away from Gasura in this run to have at least some time to react for a dodge or simply run far enough away from the claps.
Hammer is an alright matchup against this monster and my completion time made me jump in happiness. This is currently the best Hammer run against Z4 Gasura on RUclips. Someone who has played this game for much longer than I have can definitely beat my time with a better set, but for a run without Fencing+2 and with Peak Performance which is useless when at 40HP, I think I did amazingly well.
Gasurabazura is one of the best designed monsters in Frontier, I love its ugly face and colors. It's also really cool how two-faced this monster is, being relatively chill and using poison attacks when calm, but when it enters rage, parts of its body swell and it can no longer attack with poison, and tries to crush and trap you instead.
It took many tries and a lot of frustration but this result couldn't make me happier. It's also a great showcase of ZGasura in general, it used pretty much all its moves and fought well. I hope you'll enjoy this video.

The way I found it helpful to know the fake out clap is to wait until you see it's hands go pass halfway from each other, if it's hands keep moving closer then roll, if he stops then wait and then roll
However their is an easier way. If he opens his mouth before the clap, he'll do it for real, if his mouth is closed before it then get ready for a fake out
I wish I knew this before doing the run but yes, I noticed it after fighting him more times after this run. There's also a slight groan he makes before the real clap.
@@dynamo_lynn yeah. It took me a bit to learn how to deal with his stuff but once you do it just becomes like instinct on what to do. One of the reasons he might be my zenith along with boga and dora

@@nastynovaraptor5091 I showcased regular Harudo in a video already (and with hammer) so I'm a little hesitant to make a video on Z Harudo, even if I think it's by far one of the best monsters in this game. I would also need a lot of practice, I only ever fought that thing a few times to make a piece of armor, and only with Bow
