    Really cool that you devote so much time and energy into books!!! You'll get a much nicer edge and won't have to sand as much if you use a card scraper. Also, I couldn't tell what you used to color the edges (acrylic paint?), but pigmented Indiana ink is what is traditionally used and will give you the best results, especially if you thicken it with a binding agent to the consistency of milk and use an airbrush gun 😉

    Oh man so many thoughts about this! (Don't worry they are all good!) You did a wonderful job with this rebinding! Everything ended up perfectly and I almost teared up when you turned the old spine into its new bookmark because you kept something showing from the original binding. I had more thoughts but I forgot how to put them into words because I'm tired haha. I put this on to fall asleep to (not saying you're boring just bookbinding vids relax me) but I watched it all the way through to see what you did next!

    Nice work! Have you discovered a good thickness for the pieces used to emboss the cover and a recommended tolerance between the embossed pieces and the jig around it?

    Do you always glue fabric right onto the chip board or do you ever make book cloth? I didn't know we can glue fabric right to chipboard.

    this was quite good my only question is what was the size of your gauge during the separation of the cover board and the spine board?

    Elinize sağlık çok güzel olmuş yaptığınız figürleri de beğeniyordum bunu da beğendim. Ama kabartma kısmı farklı renk olsa belki biraz daha güzel olabilirdi ben öyle düşünüyorum.

    • @BBRCNGL
      @BBRCNGL  3 года назад +1

      Thank you. Actually i measured the gaps of the hardcover books that i own :) It's usually between 6mm and 10mm so i chose 8mm (6mm + 2mm Cardboard thickness)

    Why did you trim the tops of the pages? Aesthetics?

    • @BBRCNGL
      @BBRCNGL  3 года назад +2

      Hi. No, its not for Aesthetics. As i showed the camera, there was lots of soot stains on the top of the pages. I thinki it was saved from the fire.
