    The best thing about this performance is the kids' faces. They are truly captivated. Rolando is not only a great opera singer but also a great stage performer.

    Meraviglioso coinvolgimento di tutti i bambini! Bravi, bravi, bravi!! Anche un opera lunga e complicata come Il flauto magico può essere presentata ai bambini e resterà sicuramente nei loro cuori come una meravigliosa favola, eccezionali.

    • @nathaliek-r
      @nathaliek-r  2 месяца назад +3

      Rolando does not sing baritone parts. He sings only Papageno as an exception, because Mozart did not write that it was for a baritone. Mozart wrote this part under his acquaintance. Traditionally, Papageno is sung by baritones, but Mozart did not give such instructions.

    It's a shame for a tenor who lost his voice (due to luck of good vocal techique) to parasitise the opera by singing roles for baritones (and not even for high baritones). Soon we'll hear tenors who sing bass roles and they will be 100 times more popular and demanded than good real basses. My opinion is that such behaviour just shows that this man has no respect for opera and music in general (and his voice as well). I wonder, why older tenors like Angelo Lo Forese could sing great high notes even in their 90s and they didn't need to occupy roles created for other voices. Good thing to think for some famous names they should be honest with themselves and accept the truth about their present vocal skills.

    • @nathaliek-r
      @nathaliek-r  2 месяца назад +14

      Who prevents you from not listening if you don't like it? Were you forced to listen to this? Turn on the recordings of Corelli and Del Monaco, and be happy. And Rolando, despite the possibilities of his voice today, has a huge audience all over the world that continues to listen to him. If he has an audience, then who are you to allow him to go on stage or not? There is a demand - he goes out and sings. And it's great that he has an audience that loves him, even when he's not perfect.

      @@nathaliek-r
      It's obvious that you are not even taught operatic singing that's why you don't understand what is to be a PROFESSIONAL singer. Professionals are paid for a qualified work, it's the same as being treated by a bad doctor and still claim that he is the best in the world.
      And try to develop your taste and listen to some good modern performers (lot's of them are much better even though they don't have huge sponsors support and for that reason not so widely-heard).
      And a big fan base means nothing in modern day. Lots of ordinary people can't judge vocalists because their taste is poor and all they can say is that they like or dislike someone but it's difficult for them to explain why, they don't understand the criteria of a really trained voice.
      As the result we have more bad than good singers today.
      In baroque period it was normal for singers to compete each other during the performance to see who is better and deserves the star status. Legendary Farinelli ended his career at 32, and historians think that the reason was that he felt the first signs of his voice becoming worse and didn't want the public listen to his degradation (but those who heard him even in his old age claimed he had a great voice).

    • @nathaliek-r
      @nathaliek-r  2 месяца назад +10

      @@Георгий-ф6п Obviously, you've never been given a good upbringing. You come to a stranger on the channel and tell them that I have no idea about good professional singers. Don't tell me this nonsense. I am taught vocal by a professional singer who studied with Mario Del Monaco's student, the heroic tenor James McCray. Professionals like her in the world can be counted on the fingers of one hand. Therefore, never behave arrogantly and do not try to increase your self-esteem at the expense of other people.

    • @Георгий-ф6п
      @Георгий-ф6п 2 месяца назад +4

      @@nathaliek-r I am also taught by a professional teacher and he teachs me that shouting and screaming doesn't equal to singing with good resonance and volume. Music is not only shouting everytime and everywhere; it's the art of being able to control your breath and voice to transmit different colours and differen emotions, not just one the same (screaming, screaming and screaming again - Villazon does it his whole entire carreer). For me one of good examples is the difference in singing Un bel di vedremo by Schwarzkoph and Callas. The first one does it with such elegance and grace and so weightless like she is a bird, her sound is so melodic and sweet. And it's well known that Callas lost her voice mainly because she mostly sang with force (unnecessary force).

    • @nathaliek-r
      @nathaliek-r  2 месяца назад +4

      @@Георгий-ф6п Mario Del Monaco also sang with effort and was accused of excessive shouting. Rolando's problem, as my teacher says, is not in the power of sound, but in excessive emotionality, which causes the wrong closure of the vocal cords. Del Monaco clearly understood this, and one day he left the stage for six months in order to study technology. Rolando is too emotional, and emotionally tends to stop closely following the technique. Improper closure of the vocal cords causes, as it were, splitting of sound, unnecessary cracking, which, of course, affects the sound.

    looks that ths failed tenor found his real vocation whch is entertainer. for kids and masses. But for rhe cutured and musical people, stop considering him a good singer. he is the perfect example of what never do with the voice.

    • @nathaliek-r
      @nathaliek-r  2 месяца назад +1

      Firstly, Rolando is not only an accomplished tenor, but also a tenor who has already left his name in history. Secondly, I see you want to talk about Rolando's bad technique? Let's talk. Since I am a vocalist, I can perfectly hear not only the difference in the sound of Rolando's voice in 2006 and today, but also hear exactly which muscles of his vocal apparatus are working incorrectly, what exactly is happening in his muscles that are involved in sound production, and I know why this is happening. Moreover, I know that it can be fixed, and I know how it can be fixed. But Rolando obviously does not have the time and opportunity to cancel all contracts in order to leave the stage for six months and start restoring equipment. And obviously, there is no one in his environment who could help him with this, otherwise he would still be singing the same way he sang in 2006. But all this doesn't stop me from listening to him. And I won't ask your permission to listen to it. I like listening to him despite the technical problems he has. Have a nice day!
