Always disconnect Battery positive terminal before starting work. Chance of short/sparks when removing starter if battery is still connected.
Customers Concern - When trying to start vehcle, high pitched whining sound is heard but engine does not crank.
When starting vehicle, whining noise is heard, every time the start/stop button is pressed. This confirms the signal line to the starter is supplying 12v (start signal) to the starter itself. The starter gorunds out through the starter casing to the engine block, through engine ground straps to the body of the vehicle.
    Engine Starter is defective.

One thing about the n54, they get easier to work on the more you work on them. And you'll have to learn or you'll spend more $ paying for repairs then the car is worth 😢

Very true for both. Steady maintenance and couple big jobs here and there, N54 is very reliable.
As long as its not making 1000hp.

On the back bolt, do you go clock wise or counter clockwise?

The back bolt is the same as all other bolts, to remove is counter clockwise and to tighten is clockwise.

yes, it is hard to tell in video. I checked with an extra set of starter bolts and confirmed the front and back bolts are the same standard type thread.
Will try to get better view/angle in videos when removing bolts.
