  • Our first road trip of 2023 sees us head up to Argyle and Bute in north west Scotland to fish the shores of stunning Loch Etive.
The weather finally broke and we found a spot to marvel at the truly spectacular scenery. Unfortunately nobody told the fish but it was one of those sessions where catching genuinely didn't matter.
Sit back and sample some of Scotland at its best!
Thanks for watching and don't forget to like and subscribe.
Until next time, tight lines and keep fishing!
    Cheers, FCA.

Love loch etive because you never know what you're going to catch , scary deep too.

Stunning absolutely stunning. Sometimes it not about the fishing.

From the shore,Etive usually fishes better at night.Round at the quarry you are straight into very deep water where huge casts aren't needed. Also, low tidal movement makes for poor fishing.4 metres or greater are usually better.Hope this helps.

Very good pendulums Sir, I learnt the technique from an ex boyfriend however I could never get distance like the blokes being very short doesn't help either. I'm off Bass fishing later today on very light gear. Beautiful area I fished Inverbervie many years ago when at St Andrews tightlines & thank you 😀👍

Serene, scenery, peace and solitude. What more could you ask for?
Still huge waves battering the South coast since the New year and gale force winds.
Just ONE DAY in your conditions would be heavenly 😦😦😦

Wow what a beautiful place. So glad you posted this video as I've been hoping to come across a place where I can wild camp and fish in peace.
The place looks so sparsely populated, not even a dog walker in sight in the background. That's what I want.
Certainly going to have to head up there at some point. I just hope my piece of crap car with make it there and back.
Also beans and grated cheese. What a combination. So simple too. Don't know how I've never thought of it myself. Definitely going to give that a go. Might bury a slice of toast and poached egg underneath aswell. Yum yum.

Stayed in a chalet just behind where you were fishing about a year and a bit ago, made a canny base, never fished that bay but fished further up towards the bridge, had the usuall spurs, dogs and tiny rays, also had 3 days of torrential rain, showed me that my waterproof gear wasnt very waterproof 😂

Cracking footage with the cameras, know the area pretty well and that particular mark is very poor and be lucky if your in 20 feet of water, wind sock would of been a better choice but is better marks further up 👍

Caught a 6lbs salmon on the mouth of the river near the jetty, I caught it on a cheap light ron thompson spinning rod and one of those thumb button reels that are enclosed. Tbh I think it came from the salmon farm nearby as I heard rumours of people diving and slashing the nets.
