The U.S. Mint is allergic to beauty. Every coin they’ve made recently is ugly
and the only ones that are beautiful, are copies of designs from over a hundred years ago
I agree Australia Perth mint has all the mints beat.
I agree. The face side is cool, I absolutely love the Britannia! The reverse side is horrendous. The Eagles are ugly too!
I agree
THE MOST COLLECTABLE COIN…SOLD OUT. The 2023 American Liberty High Relief Gold Coin image outed. The “Tree” is actually a Razorback Hog jumping to the left over an open hand. The Razorback is an exact copy of a statue on the University of Arkansas campus. Former President Bill Clinton attended the University of Arkansas. The Clinton Foundation continues to be the largest donor to the university. More to come on the meaning of the Razorback jumping over the open hand.
I have never ever bought anything from the U S Mint, they are shady and always overpriced. Never ever. They always have shady tactics going on.
And now jumping on the "woke bandwagon", they say the fall of a nation first seen in their coins...
The US Mint has a history of deceiving customers.
They did the same thing to me on the 2021 Morgan and Peace Dollar release.
I guess it's safe to say, at this point in time, that any name that starts with "US" will end up being full of deception😅
I like Canadian mints nature and boats, non woke coins. Im American.
Yeah, I felt the same way about the Morgan and Peace re-strikes for 2021
Bringing them back lowers there collectors value! So I get what your saying! They just want to get ride of old stock and make more money especially on the gold. I got a mailer from the mint yesterday. Breezed through it and trashed it. Selling returns is just wrong in every way!👍👋🤟🙏
I got my mailer yesterday too!
They lure you in, make the sale and change the terms of the offering is called deceptive and greedy. Something similar occurred with the Perth mint some years ago. They publicized a declared mintage for a series/years and then doubled back and reopened the sales to meet the maximum mintage. The collectors where not happy and there was lots complaints. The Perth mint acknowledged it was mistake and vowed not to do it again.
I don't think what they did was very wise. In the future, people that are collecting coins, will think twice before believing them.
I AM PISSED. They just tanked the value of mine. But thanks I ordered another one.
I an 100% with you! I could go on but I think we’re on the same page. First and last time I buy direct from the u s mint. Just another example of how effed up our government is these days. Lie, lie, lie. Good will overcome this evil we’re currently living through. That’s my only comfort.
That's interesting as i wanted the silver US version to go with my UK versions. Like you said, sold out should mean sold out!
Why buy "politically correct" coins?
I just noticed you did a video on this topic... I am way behind. I agree once it says Sold-out that should be it.....
I have the Royal Mint's Britannia Liberty coin and it's a P.O.S. compared to The U.S. Mint's medal, which I also own. It's like the Royals were all out of f^cks to give when they minted them. It's also horribly spotted up after 3 months in the safe. The website states that the mintage is still 75,000. The guy that bought one from me for $140 is gonna be so pissed.
I just had another thought, these may not be returns. They only did a preauthorization on my card for the price of the medals and charged me for the shipping when I actually purchased my them. When time came around to ship them out, people who purchased in February may have had a change of heart or maybe their bank accounts weren't as flush as they thought they would be in our Bidenomics driven economy. These may be medals that payment was denied on, not necessarily returns.
I have some too, and you're right, the quality is nowhere near as good as the US medallion.
Price gouging its citizens while holding back on filling demand for ASE for Americans and the Global market.. But to blazes for the good people of 🇺🇸 as this regime is beyond toxic . Some will gripe on the.price or actions in sales tactics on top of packaging & quality of product suffer . Sales & profits over original purpose. The UK Mint sold their 250K coins out at a fare price.1/2the price of what the very limited Silver rendition at the U S Mint was & is still being offered. I mentioned the price difference to Triple S and my feelings on the eyes.on the.liberty always bothered me. I am funny that way. Rather play with flowing hair
That gold coin is beautiful. I ended up cancelling my order because the price was just too much at the time gold was around $2000 maybe? Even with the increase in spot price now that price tag is still steep!
I got a magazine in the mail from the mint and everything is ugly as sin. And lots of the coins look like one another. Just the way they are doing the designs these days. They like leaving lots of blank spaces and the designs are like third world country material.
One that did stick out and what I want to buy is a remake of the flowing hair very early coins. I forget if it was the half dollar or dollar but this is what I am going to buy when it comes out.
I think the UK Liberty collaboration coin is ugly and have refused to buy it.
Crowded.
Nothing the mint does is a surprise anymore that why I don’t buy their junk anymore
If you want to add some variety to your gold and silver bullion the Perth mint and Canadian mint offer way more variety and interesting coins at near bullion pricing. My one recent splurge into a modern "collectible" was the 2024 Canadian kilo silver dragon coin. I tried to justify it because the mintage was so low at 588 but in reality I just wanted it because the design is cool haha.
Transparency is key....If they had a mintage of let's say 50,000 and in the 30 days they only sold 25k, it would make sense to offload the rest...They should at least let people know.
I will pass, I had a pre-order last time and they cancelled it on me.
The last time I purchased from US Mint was the Apollo 11 coins back in 2019 and that was a chore and a half to get the orders in. I haven't bothered with US Mint since then.
First ❤
It's like these old rocker who claim it's a farewell tour and then come back out it happens more and more now government needs more money to give Ukraine
You might be on to something there.....
I don't know how I feel about this... I might pick up one but only because when I try to order my last one I didn't get it because whatever problems they were having like you're talking about... either way have a great day😎✌️#DCAandCHILL
In other news.. IMF confirmed that Malaysia and Thailand have expressed interest in joining BRICS. Of note, IMF blog post, 'Stealth erosion', displays two charts - one for 'US dollar index' and one for 'US dollar share of FX reserves'. The latter shows a decrease from 73% in 2000 to 55% in 2024. It's a slow process, but it's clear where we're heading.
I forgot to mention that the (BRICS) 'New Development Bank' aims to compete with IMF/World Bank. Many nations are signing up.
What the mint did wasn't fair to the people who first order them.
Meh.. I'll pass. 😐
Very nice display of precious metals. You peaked my interest until you said 89 bucks a coin..
That's a heck of a premium.
Yeah that's kind of shady to do a bait and switch on the availability limitations..
they should have released a certain amount, and when they're gone , they're gone.
Thx Sal. Very kool video. And Awesome info. The U.S prescious metals mint is acting quite shisty. U ROCK Doc. 👍👀🖖👻🤘😎🎸🎶🎵
Empirical evidence shows the gold sold out pretty quick, being more expensive than silver notwithstanding. So I think it’s not so much about price but the metal itself, only gold is it. Look at platinum still at $1500 and look at its quote. Paper market for precious metal should cease to exist. Period
I'm done with buying directly from the Mint. Just like the reverse proof Morgan and Peace dollars, I thought it was a one off. Almost a bait and switch scheme!
Lucky I didn’t fall for the old ‘30 day window’ trick! I feel for those of you who actually bought them as you deserved to have a low mintage collectable piece. 🍻
If it gets COTY then I think it’ll be alright but I’m with you this is 💩almost like a set up to screw us over 🤦🏻♂️ usmint for ya
It's especially BS because the sold them in advance of producing, so if they are sitting on thousands only silver medal boxes and oversupply then that's on them! I really hope they get major complaints for this
The US mint is playing games.
They did this with the 2019 enhanced reverse proof eagles, they have the ability to have a website that will run. It doesn't have to be that archaic. And then for them to be un clear is just their way
I’ve honestly lost faith in any claims made by the US Mint especially when it comes to “lower mintage” products
I disagree! If they were returns on the items they should not be destroyed. They should be able to be resold. It still keeps the mintage at what they had stated. Can I see nothing wrong with it. With reselling the return items the mint did nothing wrong. And crying about them reselling it is ridiculous. It still holds the same mintage amount. It didn't increase anything as far as production.
Try finding the RM 1/4 oz Gold Britannia Liberty BU for sale anywhere. IMO the mintage for that coin is less than the same size Proof.
The idea is to discourage sales. It's so obvious. They promote and have plenty of worthless coins with no silver content.
Anybody have a 5 Gram Rosa platinum bar they’re willing to sell? I will pay well.
It's not fair! Well, you trusted the scorpion and you got stung. But you didn't drown and you learned a lesson.
Thanks for being a reliable source of information!
Thank you so very much 😀
I am more concerned with them exceeding the mintage limit than reopening an order window. If they lie and increase the mintage quantity that would upset me
I got my 5 oz first mint bar in the mail TODAY!! THANK YOU!!!
HOPE IT WAS SILVER NOT GOLD.
The gold version is a hard pass for me. I'd rather purchase the flowing hair gold
Will arrive in time for Christmas if you hurry and order today 😂 I plan on making a display out of pine and yew wood and blue/green resin to encase both US and UK silver proofs.
No, it is not fair. Look at who is running the US mint and you will understand that they do not do what they say they are going to do.
U.S. Mint does not appreciate the value of a once in a lifetime coin/medal.
Like putting lipstick on a pig A pig is a pig same as silver coins Silver is Silver
Still the United States Mint is my favorite government agency
Bidn did it. They gave him access to the coin printing presses😅
?
We the people are being run over by bureaucrats and we are happy 😂
Here in Austria the Liberty Britannia from the Royal Mint costs €2240 = 2400$
and the US Mint Coin 3450€- 3850€ = 3700$ - 4130$
all would still be available.I'm thinking about getting the US Mint but the price is already very high
That's the bullion version
Big like number 402! Excellent video and thank you so much for sharing!
What? The gooberment essentially lied again? 😮
U play game with government u will lose every time
Royal mints version of this coin is so much better
It obviously was a gimmick. They couldn’t sellout, worse, it was widely known and followed by SSS himself the returns were off the chain from the get go. I’d put this items in the vault but everyone including the mint is hard up for a thinning cash.
I am responding to your comment verbally on a live stream at this very moment!
Is there anything honest with this administration?
This coin secretly tells us Britain is in charge and has always been calling the shots here in the U.S.
Makes you wonder 🤔....
Tells me that patriots still have alot of work to do regarding MAGA
BS
They resold the rejects @ a higher price😂
Quality control of boeing 😂
I dont mind the US or British coins.
As We Explore! 😎…(slurp).
The limited edition is not limited🥴
If I had purchased these, I would feel cheated
I want to check the price, but I can’t find, can I get the link please 🙏
Gold is not available now. But silver still is.
Thanks Sal...with premiums on these pieces so high, these are only for collecting, not stacking...SLURP on Bro 😎 This is an example of inflation, lol
The gold is not in stock
i Sal, I love your show and the information you present. So more shenanigans at the mint, lol. I quit my mint purchases a few years ago for this kind of BS. Dealers end up with lions share then slab them and add a huge premium. Will anyone but the mint and dealer profit from that? I want to unload my stabbed coins but I fear the buyers will pay spot or maybe a but more in the end. All my purchases from the UK mint arrive all scratched up and worth less than spot due to that and the milk spots.
One of the strong points of holding precious metals is eliminating counterparty risk. But yet the U S Mint cooks it in their products?
And to butcher a movie quote, "if you listen to the U S Mint long enough, you'll know their nefarious intentions".
Appears they only sold the unclaimed coins already minted within 30 days . Is that correct ? The gold coin is ‘ currently unavailable ‘ , the silver medal is ‘ add to bag ‘ . Any additional minted would be extremely disappointing …
Interesting that the US Mint is selling these coins again, but I had already bought the British silver version of this coin because I think it's more beautiful and it has a denomination on it. No denomination isn't a deal breaker for me, but it takes away a certain feature I look for in collectable coins and I'm sure alot of other collectors would agree with that sentiment.
Love the rising sun side. But the liberty/britannia side looks a little too busy. Loved the 2023 Liberty gold proof
They just appointed an independent numismatist Sam Gelberd to the CCAC advisory board, And can be found on the mints latest press release. The impact of his expertise may or may not inspire our collections. Time will tell.
I agree Sal....returns and cancels should be melted down. The gold coin is no longer available as of late last night which makes me think these are the canceled orders and not the remainder of the mintage limits 👍
What I prefer about the royal mint is the mintages are much less than the USmints 75K for the silver medal.
Just Wrong!!
Hi Sal, Thanks for the vlog. Yes, does not seem fair for those wanting to flip the coin.
I just checked (6-19/ 240pm) and the gold was sold out.
Notl fair !
Hi Sal...Thanks for answering my query about the merge🕊
I have the 2023 and 2024 liberty medals. They are beautiful.
Off topic:
What about an update video on the market trends & values of US Mint modern Commemorative gold and silver coins.
Sadly, that would take a lot of work and no one would watch. See my full commemorative coin video for interest level.
@@SalivateMetal
You're right, unfortunately
@@CoinsAZ It was still a good idea. If I can find a clever way to present it in general, I will.
That sux makes the coin worth less with a higher mintage
thumbs up
Just went to the website - the gold coin is not available.
What is the Mintage Limit now? 🤔
Same as before
How much weight is the gold coin? Wow much is the set
U.S.MINT.
🤙👍
Just received my 5 oz First Mint 5 oz bar!! Beautiful!! Thanks Sal!!
Awesome 👌
Hi sal morning #24🎉
I have the new US Mint catalog
BUENOS DIAS CARNAL!
No credit given 🧘
The mint has been making a killing in recent years which they are not legally able to do so I don’t think they are hurting for money
. However, with the rise of the BRICS perhaps this is a test run for coinage if the Euro dollar system collapses. Most are unaware the FED has it roots going back to the Bank Of England. If it was a truly a numismatic coin they would not release another batch. As you said Sal they could have melted it down. Something is definitely rotten in Denmark.
My last comment/reply. too many comments about gold and silver being sensored not sure by who but when you talk about gold nuggets or even gold dust or small silver it gets sensored. So I'm done let people figure it out for themselves.
Hey Sal can you send me an email on where to buy goldbacks at or below spot?
😆 🤣 😂
