I couldn't stop laughing when you said "...I'm sorry, we cannot be friends", when talking about the 2 panel curtains needed for each window. I so agree and thanks for the good laugh. Really enjoyed repurposed items - thanks
Hi Julie..I have never seen a diy from you as I am pretty new.I am glad we are ok and friends 😂😂😂😂as I agree in the panels. I love your home..love your curtains and love the transfer bird decor and everything you did. You gave me sooo many ideas. Your home is beautiful and calming. ❤❤❤❤
Your curtains look awesome n yes they do look high end. I like your idea in how you pleated them. All your make overs were great but my favorite was IOD birds. Can’t blame you on that cake pan. I also love the color n how great was it to have your clutch to fit on perfectly. ♥️♥️😊👍👍🌟🌟
Moving into a new place in a month and we will have look-a-like curtains, because I really love this idea. I love neutral linen curtains, but have never wanted to pay the high prices I've seen. Drop cloths are the perfect answer, so thanks a bunch. The candle sconces cut down to be book ends is brilliant. I don't care for plastic plants, so I'll use air plants, pine cones, sprigs and flowers from my trees and garden, shells, rocks, candles, or many other things as the seasons change. If you know someone with the last name Clement, you could gift them the fancy brush, because the French translates to Clement House. Displaying photos on them is a great idea. I'll be looking for brushes to use in my antique booth to display the postcards and prints I sell. Flipping the baking pan to become a riser is simple brilliance. Great video!
That shedding and peeling is why I like to wash drop cloth, Julie. It can be bad on family members who have allergies-not trying to be an old know it all, just giving some info I learned the hard way. Thanks for the tips on pleating with the clips! I cracked up at the ‘ we cannot be friends’! I, too, do no like one-paneled drapes, they just look incomplete. Enjoyed it all, thanks for sharing
I would get the largest single run of fabric you can, so the color is from the same bolt. What ever is left over I serge to make furniture throws for my dog/cat beds....a cover for a favorite chair they have claimed etc. This fabric washes and releases stains very well. I would pre-shrink for curtains.
I've made lots of drop cloth curtains. I feel a hem helps the curtains hang better. Plus, if you are going to be washing those "grubby finger smudges"-- hems greatly reduce the amount of fraying you have to deal with.
I love you are very creative ideas and always enjoy your videos. I have not used transfers ever or a mold. You make it look so easy. I think I ought to try. Thanks for the videos. I'll keep watching. Happy fall!🍂🍁😻
Loved your comment about the curtain panels. I so agree, curtains NEED 2 panels! I love the crusty rusty sign that you put the birds on. I have an old outdoor sign very similar to that one that has definitely seen better days. I’ve been thinking about what to do to upcycle it. Thanks for such a wonderful idea.
Loved everything! Thinking the brush with dark bristles may have looked better with only 1 of the clay mold pieces on it, and maybe use some dark wax on it to tone down the white? Just a thought.
Hi Julie, Have you watched any of the YT videos from Rural Refurb? Tracey, a lovely English lady has great style and great DIY ideas. I think you would enjoy her style. I believe she has only been on YT since 2022. I just came upon one of her videos yesterday, now I am trying to catch up with her YT story!
Absolutely love the curtains Julie...... im going to make a trip to Walmart, i have a huge picture window and then a regular window, i think it will help lighten it up in the living room. Thanks for all your inspiration. God bless
I did the same with my drop cloth for my closets. I used 3 full ones but hemed them on the bottom. Love them instead of floor to ceiling tiles. I love everything you did today

I will forever be tickled at, “I’m sorry. We can’t be friends if you use one panel” 🤣😂💀
Just an FYI ...Those curtains looked nothing like Shabby Chic....😮 Wow
Fyi:Google rod clips to find them. I could not find where she added a link for the rod clips 😅
