A great match and a great Co-host. We did incorporate a lot of your guys previous comments, so keep them coming. Granted there is some technical limitations, but we will continue to challenge and mature the admin cam for showcasing HLL organized battles.
These are really interesting to watch, and you both provide very valuable commentary on the tactics and nuances of each of the capture points - thank you!
Thank you. We really wanted to incorporate as much feedback as possible. Some we couldn't due to technical limitations, but most we were able to incorporate quickly. No update or patch notes required! :)
@@inchongaming1763 Any chance we could get some close-up action during the heat of battle? There were a lot of moments where a view from inside the strong point would have been phenomenal.
@@ganonn Valid comment and I appreciate the feedback. HLL is actually a hard game to try to show through a "straw" that the admin cam provides. It's a challenge to find the right mix of strategic and tactical aspects of each match. From the strategic sense many people want a COH type of view that shows the macro or meta engagements, map control, etc. However, the real high adrenaline moments for many viewers are the tactical level or individual play. With such a low TTK, those moments are often not identified or identified too late. Each broadcast we're trying to find that right balance and provide a better viewing experience than the previous. Next challenge I have on my list is adding instant replay so when we do capture those phenomenal moments, we can enjoy them one more time.
Great footage and improvement from last match casted. I think you guys have a lot of good engery regarding the game as well. My split cam suggestion I think would have been great around @24:50 when Hill 15 and the Scar were being attacked, would have like to see both of those great view points and battles. Still solid stuff. I hope the devs give you guys more tools soon to use!
I see what you mean. I could set something like that up, just worried that it might be too little to see if we're both panned out, but only half of the screen to work with. I'll set it up for the next battle and we can see how it works out. Seriously keep the feedback coming.
@@inchongaming1763 ruclips.net/video/4HhDfc3Qfvs/видео.html Here is an example of it from an older game(that also uses Unit Icons like HLL). Thanks for responding!
I did really like the commentary, but the color switching is really confusing, I'm aware that you guys are in different teams so you can show both perspectives, but to me it was a constant struggle to know who's who. I know that it's displayed on the top corners, but it's still confusing as hell and very unintuitive, especially with you guys flying around from all angles. Maybe have you 2commentators on the same team and get someone else in enemy team for the map so colors are consistent.
Same, also prefer to keep perspective on a beautiful, organized push up a hill, with coordinated artillery most of the way through, instead of switching away from it as soon as they make any real contact to an already capped point. Kinda frustrating still cool tho
Great match and coverage; i think that my fav part it's the inial map breakdown, i'm not that familiar with the maps topography so i found all that info really valuable.
This is one interesting format , to make it much more interesting you need to view one of the soldiers fighting to make it immersive as you comment on the gameplay
First video here. I just bought HLL and wanted to study up. I was SUPER impressed with this call of the game!!! I hope you guys got a lot of good feedback and I'll be looking for more.
I am in love with this content guys. I love the Madden style commentary and the minds of the both of you guys combined bringing in perspectives of two different brains. This is brilliant and I would love to see a lot more of these in the future. Also it is pronounced Gross-How and not Grass Who haha
I really like these video's! Maybe some stuff to add/follow a bit more in the next ones: Commander ability useage + resource count. Guess you cant really see when and what a commander is using ingame ( with like a console or feed). That would be an awesome addition to spectator mode. Commander X used Y.
This is great, i really like this, my only suggestion would be to increase the video quality on what i think is monospacial's admin cam, it looks a bit low res
This was really cool, I just started watching your tutorials as well as playing the game so I like that I'm seeing you guys doing commentary too! I would like see if you could combine your views and have the map overlay going while we're seeing the battlefield. Maybe a split screen thing. So that way we can see where enemies are spawning from and their positions around the map. It's a good learning too as well for those watching to see how high level commanders play. I would love to see more close ups of the action too during dull moments, maybe you can follow some interesting people doing stuff. I would suggest also learning and memorizing the terms and phases that you use, so that you can use the more constantly to describe certain events, like a flanks, blitz, turtling, etc etc, that you can easily explain a lot of information, "IAD is preparing X maneuver to get a squad in place to assault A" sometimes you guys were fumbling too much for a word to describe the action and miss covering the stuff that unfolded. Suggestions about what they should be doing is nice, but you should focus more on trying to describe accurately what stats they are trying to employ and if they may or may not be successful. Anyway, great vid. Look forward to me, give more more now. LOL. Some video quality issues when switching between the IAD and 23 cams and overall randomness of audio volume but overall good work!
im loving these. One advice i would give is to keep the same view from the viewers perspective the whole game. Switching teams and sides all the time makes it confusing to follow, avoiding that would make it more viewer friendly. keep it up!
yes, since the color switches all the time which is confusing when the team positioning changes (like in this game when pushing hill 15 the attacker direction changed back-forth)
Super late, but I was really surprised to hear Ichon say that the German's had the advantage on this map. I've played Hurtgen about 15 times now and the Germans have only won twice. In one match, I was Germany on a team that had swept the other team 3 matches previously and we still lost. I think the reason is the placement of the middle points, especially Scar and Siegfried, is actually a disadvantageous position for Germany. The hill across the river, on the American side, is an amazing vantage point for tanks, AT guns, and snipers. They can just blast the point from long range and pressure the Germans until an opening allows American infantry to swarm in. Add arty in the mix and its just a death trap for the Germans.
