If we try hard enough we will eventually find some kind of godzilla resting on one of the deepest parts of the ocean camoflouged as jaggered rocks
Lol one day we will discover the Godzilla Minnow, a tiny fish that can breathe fire.
you're actually right!
Marine iguanas look exactly like mini godzillas, look it up
Godzilla is found in comic books and reel. Not real
@@capricorn839 r/woosh
The fish be like " Konuchiwaaa....hehehehe..."
Lol
Lol that was funny
You're not funny.
Says the soulless naga
Lul wut
People laughed at Pacific Rim, wel no more here's the proof we need to start building those robots to protect our future
Question:
1:51 What with technology help with us discover next?
Answer:
1:57 New ways to troll every living creature in the planet
That was neat. The ocean is one of the most mysterious places and it's nice to see some of the rarer sights.
Still no Godzilla though
+Dylan Oh One day...
Dylan Oh well there was a giant strange roar sound recorded underwater around 1999 it's called Julia sound and scientist said that it was an iceberg but i dont think so
Deep Sea Creatures..there still so many mysteries in the deep sea.
many no haha
i bet there is a damm plessiosaur down there,i am sure of it
@@nicolasmauser hydrostatic pressure: helo
Hmm I dunno these fish didn't look very Japanese
omg.....
*facepalms* Roflll interspecies racism!!
+Brocksta1 ahahahah xD
i think soke of fishes are old 1000000 years
Brocksta1
Because you don't have your japanese fish googles on; you are seeing them through japanese human googles.
haha.. maybe alien too have there own national geographic channel, were we are all being watch like a strange animals...
O.o that would be so bloody weird!!!! What if we are looking for them and they are looking for us!?! We are just going around in a huge circle to find alien life! They watch me now, o.o but yet, if we encountered one it would do the same as us! .. Sorry.. I think I'm going crazy
"What will technology help us discover next?" *eel* "heyyyyy wtf is this thing over he-ow fuck! bitch!"
Lunar Swoon technology helped that eel discover a bump on the head
😹😸😸🙈
Damn nature, you scary
+Archer King Not scary, interesting
+Armando Ramirez
i am certain that if you met face to face with any of these in the ocean, even the most innocuous of these creatures, that you would shit your pants and freak out. I know I would. Almost anything is terrifying in near absolute darkness in vast unexplored space
reasly dutchmans
How can you tell what i would think if i see one of those creatures?^^ I´m not even scared of carrying snakes or spiders on my hand, this wouldn´t be such a great difference ^^.
snakes spiders damn even wolves arent so scary on land. The vast endless ocean with all its uncertainty is a whole other thing not to mention the total enveloping darkness. If you were scuba diving with future gear that lets u be on teh ocean floor I can guarantee seeing one of these fuckers pop out from nowhere (its pitch black so 4 feet in front of you is out of nowhere) that you would be scared. The ocean is 70% of the earth and we cant even look at even 20% of the 70 properly. In the same oceans with the same creatures that inspired cthullian eldritch horrors I am certain all but the most stoic and probably foolish would be scared
Snakes and spiders are on the number one list of being the creatures people are the most scared of. And i only said that these see creatures are more interesting than scary FOR ME, so don´t state it as a fact ^^.
it ended with a eel bumping the camera
The guys be like:
"You are an IDIOT AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
Great, now people think I'm an idiot. I HATE MY LITTLE BRO!
'What will
Technology discover next?' * bump*
R U an idiot? No? moron...ahhhh ok
"They're also known as the dead man's crab. Because they've been found gnawing on the bodies of drowning victims :D" he says it so happily XD
0:19 cutest thing ever!
I believe it's a dumbo squid, they are adorable creatures especially the yellow ones
Pretty sure it's a frog fish, I could see it by the fins used as arms, also yes they can be orange
@@gardenturtle4878 It's not a frog fish it's a squid lmao
Search up orange frog fish
avaellie Didnt it say that it was a fish in the video?
I hope Nat Geo can do more videos like this. It's fantastic to see these bizzare creatures!
"See those twins sacks coming out of the body?" He said that with pride!
Not to mention that Japan discovered the first Giant Squid to be around 35-45 feet in length...damn Japan has exotically cool stuff! :)
? I don't remember hearing that...hmm
yeah, but I mean...its not like the guy was in the water when he snapped footage of the 35-50 ft long squid, right? That was from a timed/proximity camera...
@@ABioluminescentRavebat Giant squids taste bad.
The Kraken is real 🐙 ‼
Where are the schoolgirls?
in my basement
You had watched enough Hentai to be an expert for this shit!
elvon sarza tell me more
hahahah you made my day dude XD
***** whats next, a monster baby? WTF JAPAN!
I come back to this video every few years like its a new thing. The ROV gives it away every time
Eel at the end: "Dammit, get that camera out of the way! Fish are trying to swim here!"
spider + crab= nope nopenopenopenopenopenopenopenopenope.
It's just a crab... Crabs gotta eat too, ya know?
But, you should look up Crab Spider... You'll love those! ;)
Think of all the crab meat dude. The crab meat!
Amanda Burkhart it is spidercrab
That ending thou..
Eel: The humans are spying on us
: bumps his head on the camera :
Eel: It is broken now, I'm out..
Love how the eel in the end is like "Dammit, that was the glass door again."
Amazing... And great work .Thank you .
This video was extremely fascinating! i hope we discover more interesting wildlife as humans... if you viewers think that was weird, imagine what else is out there that we don't know about!!!
"What will technology help us discover next?"
Eel be like "All I gotta do is put my mind to dis shit" *eel crashes* "goddamn"
Good video, they should make a full length doc on the subject.
Great this channel and offer us a masterpiece of nature Thank you very much
Japan..... where even the marine life is weird.
+Dementos Oii, you're going to tick off a lot of people m8
+Xavier Horn I'm joking. ☺
I love Japan and think it is the most awesomest country.
Dementos True
I should be sleeping.
I didn't expect the ending
EPIC
I was feeling terrified of all the creatures shown on this video then the eel crashes ahahahahah that made my day ahahaha
I suddenly don't like want to eat crab anymore
The eel at the end when it hit the camra was all like "Bruh? Really? Fuckin' humans...." XDDD
Magnífico!
oo this is so cool! more please!
Just love Nat.Geo.
Lol the eel crashes into the camera smh
The eel in the end " Fu you maan, take ur camera elsewhere"
Lol at the ending " oops sorry eelcuse me"
I just love this kinda stuff.
We will discover CRAB PEOPLE CRAB PEOPLE CRAB PEOPLE CRAB PEOPLE

Holy, this is SO interesting and cool... I liked the crab it was SO cool!! :D
Sooooooooooooooo goood T.T I love this video!! Thank you for posting!
but..........are they edible?
yes. maybe kill you, but you can still eat them.
Technically they are, But some of them probably taste awful.
shit...looks like a new pokemon is discovered
"these sharks can fit in the palm of your hand" *looks at palm*
1:57 "aw what now you fucking thing, I'm having a bad day"
no wonder there is strange sea creatures in japan, after two ameican nuclear bombs and nuclear power station leakout in japan,it would be strange not have weird stuff in the ocean
I really don't think that caused these fish. They probably evolved to be like this over millions of years.
This is from 2007. The Fukushima disaster happened in 2011.
These creatures evolved without human intervention and human cognizance of nuclear science .
Sorry to pop your three eyed fish theory .
Yeah and all these existed thousands of years before those shit
i love fake news.
this my friends is what happens when toxic waste hits the ocean .
I could watch this all day. Only a small percentage of the ocean has been discovered. I wonder what's down there...
that is a great discovery!
too bad we don't know whats really benauth the sea surface because of the water pressure
Humans have been to the deepest part of the ocean, the Mariana Trench. So the water pressure problem isn't huge
But we still haven't uncovered 95% of our ocean.
Matthew Lyn WELL WTF NOT?
Derek Skarb too much pressure, too dark, and too big
i think its best you rephrase your sentence again and do some research.....
Narator: What will technology help us discover next
ME: That you shouldn't mess with nature and you probably don't wanna see what's down there! Or let what's done there know we're up here O.O!
Lol! You are probably correct! But human nature won't let us stop looking!
Am surprised there is so much sea life left off the coast of Japan!
the video is so serious that i laughed at the end when the fished bumped on the camera xD
NARRATOR: "This submarine can ascend down to seven thousand feet..."
Ascend down.
National Geographic. Another example of how modern education is circling the drain.
well he clearly said descend they may sound similar but you should probably check your quality or put on captions because thats what it says.
dah0heavy Wrong. The captions simply attempt to correct the script. The narrator, evidently not knowing any better than the scriptwriter, the director, or the editor, clearly says "ascend"... 1:10 sec.
Progressive education. Every bit as worthwhile as affirmative action.
CheckDare Nooo he says descend. It's just not very clear.
Cielly You're wrong, too. There is no "D".
CheckDare There is xD it just sounds really mumbled. Trust me, I went back and listened to it like 50 times o.o
Someone fire that narrator for gods sake! Sounds like he's talking to kindergardners.
What will technology help us discover **NEXT**
LOL his voice when he said next, 1:51
HAHAHAHA
Wow 13 years come and gone. Now they found the snail fish and other isopods at even further depths.
DEAD TUNA ☺☺☺
I frickin' HATE the narrator!
This video wouldn't be enjoyable without him
wow! this is very awesome ! i love this world !
13 years later, i don't think i'll be able to go to Japan, right there.
Looking for alien life in space when we have aliens under the earth
You gotta love National Geographic
Wow, how come i have such an intense interest in sea life at the bottom of the ocean.. but im horrified of deep open water.
13 years ago. I feel old 🥸
LOL at that eel at the end
A video before I was born nice. Also was that a ghost shark?!
Amazing!
Absolutely with you. I used to get inspiration from National Geographic and actually learned to dive as a result of what I saw in their journals as a kid.
Nowadays they seem to turn out the same amazing images but with commentary and comments that kids would find offensive. I'm also getting tired of all the self praising 'our technology' bumpf. The fish have been doing it since forever. Just show us the pictures and tell us what has been learned.
I love this narrator.
Eel at end- Hey look a weird bright thingy! *ouch*
The eel at the end knocked into camera and swam away like, "WTF WAS THAT?!". xP xD
Amazing...
that little yellow thingy that has elbows is pretty cute :)
1:18 "These are the first moving images of the Abyssal Cusk Eel. You can tell because it has a yellow rectangle on it's head."
lol the eel at the end Eel: *FACESMACK*
The spider crab is like "WHAT THE F@!# IS A CAR DOING AT THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN!!!"
"Hmm... Never seen this one before"
-runs into camera-
"Oh a camera shark! Hey lantern shark your cousin is here!"
THE EEL AT THE END I'M DYING XD
+Masa Bojic I know right!
nature is just astonishing
the last one made me laugh so hard xD
beautiful creatures
Awesome vid
Eel was just trying to investigate. Eel just wanted love. Eel did not want your pain glass tube box. Eel just wanted conversational banter. Eel only wants love.
the little yellow fish with arms looks like a pokémon ;D hehe
Wait, Chimera, WHAT?
God it's like they trolled us in the last one "And here we see a snorkelling Griffin" only on camera for a second.
@ 1: 55 "oh erm sorry, u filming? i'm....gonna go....right away"
I love that at the end a fish hits the camera
i totally agree
Amazing video
LOL that derp eel that smashed into the camera.
Love the moray eel crashing in the camera.
He said about the spider crab that it was found "gnawing on drowning victims", that's a bid ambiguous as it sounds like the crab doesn't even wait for the drowning person to die first.
that fish at the end had some big balls !
Spider crabs are also see in Port Philip bay, Victoria, Australia. Rarely !! I have personally seen them. Same species ?
what really scares me. Another thing that has recently put me on edge about getting in the ocean is all the millions of tons of radioactive waste spilling into the ocean since 2011 and being washed into the American and Mexican shores from Japans nuclear plant accident :'(
"Oh hey, what's th- DOH. Okay, swimming away with remaining pride as a semi-intelligent marine lifeform"
