- Hands up if you deal with acne scars 🙋🏻♀️
Whether you have Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH) or atrophic scars the truth is that - there's no one miracle ingredient that will completely get rid of acne scars.
Scars are essentially inflamed blemishes caused by pores with excess oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria. As the blemish starts to heal itself, it develops a red, pink, tan, or brown discoloration in the area.
To treat this, you need ingredients that promote skin healing, reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, and diminish scar texture aka - 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 - a clinically proven, revolutionary formula that minimizes the look of post-acne scar size, depth, AND discoloration in 8 weeks.
INGREDIENTS
🍃 Powerful healing properties of Centella Asiatica supports healthier-looking skin
🍊 Vitamin C reduces the appearance of post-acne dark spots
⚡ Salicylic acid exfoliates to diminish scar texture
✨ Plus, the velvety-smooth formula instantly fills and blurs imperfections to IMMEDIATELY reduce the appearance of scars and uneven surfaces.

you guys need to know that there more than one type of acne scars, this product just leans in more to a specific one which is inflammatory hyperpigmentation type acne scar
Usually when people talk about acne scars they are referring to those craters in your face that are left behind after some severe acne episodes. If you have those then use Panthenol and Allantoin scar gel. It worked for me.
Panthenol 2℅?
What brand can you recommend please?
@@studychannel8583 Sorry didn't see your comment at first. No but it's probably way more than 2%. Maybe around 40% and it has to be mixed with Allantoin for it to work.
@@professional.commentator what is the real name of the cream and packaging colour?
@@professional.commentatorwhat’s it called exactly and can u link it plz
Just thought I’d let everyone know these are not acne “scars” they’re pigmentation, scars are usually indented and there’s two kinds of pigmentation, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation which is usually purple/dark brown in color and post inflammatory erythema, which are the light pink/bright red marks. Figuring out which one exactly you have is what’s going to help you tackle those pigmentation spots
Something that helped me a lot was, sunscreen for sure, using a gentle cleanser (I use the la roche posay one) and a nice moisturizer I use the cetaphil one. The main star was adapalene I also use the one from la roche posay.
Thank u for solving my prblm usually I have pimple but they faded but my face has some red/pink small scars now I understand
As a professional acne survivor for the past 11 years, I recommend doing laser treatment instead of wasting money on these creams
@@Tararatitata I dont know wer you live, but get on accutane/isotretinoin asap..Thats the only permanent fix for it. Cardio and laser does help but not completely.

honestly... that's the best you can give to someone. i mean ye its expensive but saving up money for laser treatment is better than wasting hundreds of dollars buying products recommended by some random tik toker model that most likely sponsored..
at least laser treatment is guaranteed
EDIT: but ofc if its working, might as well stick with it
I had mild post acne scars after treating my acne skin for months. Then I decided to use salicylic acid for scars and turned out to be the worst decision I had ever taken in my life. It totally messed up my skin and left me dealing with acnes all over again 😭😭😭
Did it get better when you stopped using it? I’ve heard that it gets worse before it gets better because it cleans from inside the skin. I have a lot of scars too and just started using a salicylic acid cleanser.
I feel like nothing helps mine 😭I have deep ice pick scars , and just started microneedling a few months ago, so I’ll keep y’all updated
Hubby has boxcar scars. Banisher 2.0 helped him a lot!
You can get dermal fillers too .But it is expensive I guess.

Idk but like I just get irritated whenever someone says that people with acne or acne scars should use salicylic acid ,, Like dude I used salicylic acid cleanser and it fucked up my skin dude ….. My acnes got worse and I had never had scars before in my life even though I had acnes and now after using salicylic acid my scars aren’t going away …
Like idk Guys if someone has a similar experience please share
Edit : nvm I realised that I applied it wrongly , should’ve used whenever my skin felt oily and not everyday 🙃
Yes i had the same experience
Me too after using the salicylic acid cleanser
Some brands may irritate your skin. Don't use it.
Try adapalene gel and see a dermatologist
i had the same experience dear.. and my dermat suggested that n my face got worse
@Michael Matalavea how long should one go through purging after using salicylic acid 🤔..
Does azelaic acid work?
Does this apply to KP & PIH hyperpigmentation?
I like her frames. 🤓 what brand ?!
I’ve used so many acne scar gels, toners with salisilyc acid vitamin c etcetera, but. Only hydroquinone 2% vanish them. But sadly can’t use them all the time. Have to take a rest and use them again.
use mendelic serum
How long does hydroquinone takes to work? I have been using 4% Hydroquinone for a week now with tretinoin 0.05%

Thanks for this! I mostly experience those light pink to red marks called post inflammatory erythema (P.I.E). Which is the type of scarring on the video, I believe. ✅ Cause I definitely have those leftover on my chin & it’s thankfully flattened in texture, looks like clearer skin but I’m aware up-close that I do have scar-marks.* Just a new topical solution to apply into my skincare regime, thank you for this!
What would brown pores be called too? As a form of scarring like post inflammatory hyperpigmentation or would those be like blackheads? [Update: I searched for anyone else interested haha sebaceous filaments : yes : I’m always interested in correcting these but I understand they’re just natural pores basically]. Feels flattened in texture thankfully, just another up close notice (from very long ago past & recovered skin blemishes). ❤❤❤ *My skin basically cleared up & I see how my skin really is haha. I’d simply pick this solution up for the minimal red marks that were left!
How did you treat your red/pink scars??
@@user-pl2oj9xi9l Aw hey, I honestly feel I struggle with it. It's genuinely not so problematic, or noticeable I feel (it's like having stretch marks in example; it's natural)… I can wear moisturizer and/or tinted sunscreen, and it's there but it's not really a problem for me anymore thankfully. I lost caring. Cause it's smooth, and more clearer thankfully. - Though, I do feel exfoliating (1-2x weekly Or as needed preferably: even just regular gentle cleansing*: I use Aveeno's Calm + Restore cleanser), Vitamin C, moisturizing, helps.
I've done about two facials before too, and those actually did help my scarring. Yet I don't recommend facials actually lol it roughened and dried out my skin the following days after.
Just simple spot treatments, or skincare is what may help treat it. It'll go away gradually. :) Do your best & forget the rest.
How do i fix an acne scar which is not dark but just a bump of thin skin?
It's on the tip of my nose. I'm so insecure about this. 😭
Story:
So I had an acne on the tip of my nose. After it was gone, there is no dark spot. But the spot is like a thin bump. Like the skin wasn't flattened after it healed. Idk If I explained it properly, but i hope you understand this.

I can’t tell which one is before or after. This one is over $100 in Canada I guess about $85 plus in US prices. I have it. It feels very greasy but people do say it works. It will take months for you to see results tbh so be patient. Months go by way quicker then we realize ❤
First you must know the meaning of acne scars. They are not discoloration they are the holes on the face created by acne and scars can be treated only medically not without any skin care
not necessarily, it can mean both. because the type she showed doesn’t go away and it’s just a remaining of what once was acne, hence the name acne scar.
@@itzkeanna Same for the crater-like acne scars but the products she mentioned won't help for those.
@@professional.commentator yes but it is clear to see that is not what she is talking about in this video.

i agree, this is more likely a PIH. Usually acne scar refer to: boxcar, icepick, roller, and hypertrophic scar which could be treated by procedure or very strong exfoiliating agents under medical supervision
