Seeing him as a hotel desk clerk & a research doctor in two Law & Order characters after seeing him on POI.... Law & Order appearances were Briscoe era. Before this...
One of the best Fight scenes I've ever seen in a TV series. Jim Caviezel is a highly underrated actor. I love the fight scenes, the acting, the story, everything makes this the 8th (or higher) most watched show on television. Thank you J.J. Abrams for making this a fantastic TV series. + Finch is just plain awesome and smart too.:)
in the season 3 finale, he gets shot a few times but takes down a bunch of Decima operatives by himself before dying in an explosion. definitely a badass moment
Someone on a review called this the battle of the grumpy killers. lol. I like how Hersh gets the call in the hospital and he just rips out the tube and heads back to work.
Caviezel does all his fighting stunts, but I guess the injury he sustained to his foot(which prevented him from a career in the NBA) prevents him from doing some stunts.
In the end, there are only so many ways you can grasp a wrist, only so many headlocks available, only so many positions you can fight from. That's were the convergence of styles comes in, that's what Bruce Lee (among others ,but Bruce was the first to really bring the concept into western culture in a big way) is talking about when he says "Style without style"....It's also why people like Reese, or even my dad (An ex-SEAL and SEAL trainer for 25+ years) can drop someone considerably younger
Jim Caviezel is the best for this role. At the pilot episode of season 1 he didn't seem like to be into the character 'deep' enough but he nailed it somewhere in s01e03. His best role in my opinion. Great tv series! Great characters. I hope our girl*avoiding spoilers* from episode 16 will join the cause.
Season 4 was my favorite season out of them all. Extremely immersive and entertaining, great cast and great storywriting. The paranoia of constantly being watched by the enemy is palpable, even for the viewer in the safety of his couch at home. Has some of the best individual episodes of the series but also a brilliant theme throughout. Incredible stuff. 2 and 3 were amazing too. First half of 1 was a bit sterile bar a couple episodes, second half got better though. 5 was a bit rushed but great ending and no major drop in quality anyway. Overall one of the best series I’ve ever watched for sure.
Dude is just standing there, salty as hell, having an existential crisis cause the guy he thought was his type of monster showed him mercy, proving his humanity was still intact
Could you please upload the scene in Dead Reckoning where Reese promises that he will get the technician, Kevin out the situation alive? Thanks! Also, thank you so much for all of the videos you have uploaded! They have been so fun to watch!
--Faster, stronger, better conditioned, etc. Fighters who train solely around fight sports are at a disadvantage against people like Reese. A lot of muscle memory goes into not doing a headbutt or not doing a groin-punch, you do 600+ hours of training for a fight (100 hours per round of fighting is a good rule of thumb. Rocky Marciano would try to go a bit further, that man was undefeated on his conditioning and underrated defense), you learn to fight with rules, which can kill you in combat. :)
There's a rumor that there is a problem with the machine, at the end of the 13th episode they say "I guess we'll find out in 5 months" and in the 14th and 15th episode a Blue code appeared at 0:40 and around 40:13 suggesting that there is a problem with the machine ...
Anyone know who the fight choreographer is? I know Jim (like me) did some amateur boxing, perhaps he still hits the bag-Especially now-to keep in shape, plus it's addicting as hell. If I had to guess the fighting styles, which in combative fighting (not sport fights) has a lot of convergence, I'd say Keysi, Krav Maga, Judo, Boxing. Kyrushin Karate (I know I butchered that word) is what Dolph Lundgren practices and is very similar as well, though older than Keysi or Krav.
Cant wait for round 2....but i must say, seems more like justice for finch to cause his death...since his injury and nathans death was caused by hersh really
in this scene they made a were sloppy scenes like it ia so obvious that mr reese doesnt do most of the stunts i the beginimg of a knife fight you see a guy reaching for a knife and it ia clearly not johns face
Didn't think what..my actions speak.. as for this character I believe your strong.. and believe in protecting. a piece of you.. brought out.which was always there..sorry this is personal.. but I am personal..actually I don't always mean what I say.. I suppose sometimes I get hurt and then say something which I regret of gives the wrong impression , I just haven't been feeling well..I was and am hurt that is what you need to know and understand.. and when I say get away or leave me.. it really is because I am hurt.., certainly not ..because..of anything else.. , as for others.. well.. when somebody is a lying evil act which tells half truths to manipulate you or others into thinking something which is not true regarding a relationship I do not have with the person.. well it is what it is.. I give enough detail in what I write to for you to know..sorry for being too personal.. but I bring myself to the table.. and would be not myself if I didn't..c
I like Hersh as a villain. Boris McGiver, the actor who plays him, does a great job. He plays the remorseless government assassin very well.

I never got why they cast an old balding man as a bad tough guy. Just looks like a dad who didn't like his McDonalds. John looks like batman in a suit

Whats underrated to you just wondering pleased ! Always see people writing o he issuch an underrated actor
Jim Caviezel is a great actor. He has a lot of good movies. Real talk
I still miss this show. I occasionally get out my DVD's and watch my favorite episodes again.
I would love to see an episode with Hersh & Shaw flashbacks of training and going on missions. Just to see how Hersh is so badass.
in the season 3 finale, he gets shot a few times but takes down a bunch of Decima operatives by himself before dying in an explosion. definitely a badass moment
Reese said that Hersh was a lot like him. Both have taken major injuries and kept fight on. It took explosions to kill both of them!
oh......I never thought about that! It's true! A huge explosion for both..........oh my! Now I'm sad all over again.

Hersh needs to turn that frown upside down. He's always so grouchy looking.

When someone really wants to be Iron Chef ;)
The dangerous Hersh! Kills efficiently, without any emotion, almost like a machine, almost like John Reese!
I never expected Hersh to outlive Special Counsel. Can't wait to see more of him in season 3!
Caviezel does all his fighting stunts, but I guess the injury he sustained to his foot(which prevented him from a career in the NBA) prevents him from doing some stunts.
LopezFam4Productions
He did that himself? really?
@@raulbetancourt5795 1:05 obviously that’s not Caviezel but someone who threw the pan at Hersh
This is like when you put a dominos on the phone with a papa johns.
Let's make it a proper brawl. Add Pizza Hut, Little Ceasar's, and I guess Marco's.
I hated Hersh's guts so much. John has way too nice to him.
Hershey was stubborn, and an excellent dark reflection of Reese and Shaw.

Yeah, he was an exceptional addition to the cast!
Compared to this, Shaw and Root's ''epic'' fight scenes look like a cartoon for the little girls :D
They kinda look like that anyway lol. No offense.
Agreed.
Mr. Dave calling a well written character retarded while having a made-up character as your avatar, now that's rich.
if you pause it right when hes thrown over the table, its definitely a stunt person haha still an awesome ass fight though
Strangr because I've hears Jim did all his stunts himself. Oh well not this one apparently

How Reese holds his knife is special forces

Awesome fight scene.
Question: Will you be uploading the 2x18 "All In" Ending with Reese and Harold in the library and the HR scene?
Tom Hammerschmidt is taking this investigation way too fucking far
Looks like this guy that Reese stabbed should get a diffrent job with a ton of live insurance and medical coverage.
The celiac artery would have required substantial surgical skill.

Am I the only sick person who loved how Reese pulled that knife out of Hersh and held it at his side all discreet like?
Based on their respective face-off moments so far:
Reese > Hersh > Shaw > Reese
Too bad we never got to see Stanton fight with any of them.
My favorite show. Reese should have at least made hersh tell him why he was coming after him

More like Hollywood training.....
I thought hirsch gun was a glock. Now john stripped a 1911...
Definitely not a 1911...
He should have killed Hersh right there and then. Would have make it much easier in the long run.
John respected Harold’s wishes to not kill unless absolutely necessary. Besides, Hersh was very useful in Season 3 - enemy of my enemy.
