Well my opinion to this is(I'm no practitioner of Systema) when you miss the target, you can still try to absorb the swing of the arm by turning yourself. This swing of the turning motion you can use to repositioning yourself and to strike from a different angle maybe...depends on the given situation of course
I got hit in my shoulder once top to bottom with a full systema puch. The pain is just unbelievable, and the most amazing thing is that my bicep, not my shoulder, was the part of my body who was hurting the most. Next day i found out a massive black bruise on my bicep that lasted 2 weeks but my shoulder was ok. How can that be ?
As far as I understood, Systema practitioners don't focus too much on defense, as they try to be honest to people:you will get hit in a real fight. They just try to make you ready by toughening you and give you the knowledge to evade strikes by sublte movements. Coz the more you obviously try to defend, the more agressive the whole situation can get...i hope I got that right:)
Let me ask, how do you prevent your elbow to be cracked? I mean, you throw your arm fully relaxed, how can you prevent your arm to be overflexed and cracked when you miss the target or when you practice without a bag?
I think that the mechanics are very formidable for striking, but the whole stance seems to be very weak defensively to me. As a former Karate practicioner and now a boxer, it seems easy to be countered. Val, can you tell me if I'm wrong?
Re avoiding the hyperextension of the elbow when you miss, Aphrophis is on the right track or getting there. Many martial artists commit their body turn/wave motion too early in the strike, forcing them to depend on retraction of the arm to return to a guard and to handle misses. Not only does that increase the risk of telegraphing, it puts power into the strike when it isn't needed yet and limits the ability to adapt near the end of the strike depending on the result and opponent's reaction. From my limited experience, many of the strikes are meant to flow into combinations and the body is part of that.
Val, what you know about aura? I think its possible to use a combination of wim hof guiness world record holder (iceman), our piezoelectric pineal gland crystals, bloods reaction to electromagnetic forces shown in ferrocells, manually inducing the sensation of prickly goosebumps, a technique to open aura nodes found on the dark web, Systema, and some of the training ideas in Japanese manga called 'Hunter X Hunter'(which is also the universal conspiracy theory hidden in plain sight) to do things that would only be described as magic, super powers, or miracles to onlookers. When all combined it allows for manifestation of ones etheric auric soulforce, aka the creative force, aka the divine soul, into reality. Im willing to bet a culmination of those things is taught to the actual spetznas. What do you know about etheric aura control aka NEN?
Wow. Way awesome. I can feel the heaviness/weight in my hand when I do this.

I see! Yes, it seems to be logical. Thank you for your reply!
Happy to help:) For more information, it might be the best to just turn to an instructor, if you have one in your surroundings;)

Learning how to stance switch should help that
I never thought I'm using systema punch after all . I will used to punch naturally at someone who annoys me like this.
