Mr. Miftah's leaning to politics is so visible in his talks. Dr. Nishter stands out as an honest professional with no political statements. She is superb indeed.
Honestly speaking, Dr. Saania looked far clearer in her thoughts and proposed approaches to solve the problems than ....... But let me say, how better had it been that the medium of this talk would be URDU!!
Though I don't agree with the argument of Mr Mifta Ismail, but he is very consistent in his views on all the forums. And he is a financial asset. Miss Sania Nishtar's views are more inclusive to solve the present issues of Pakistan.
if you the points side by side....both have valid rationale but practicality of ideas stands out for Dr.Sania. theoretically miftah is on spot most of the times.
People like him want to do something but soon realised that they cant due to many political hurdles..Thats why many senior economist of pakistan preferred to avoid politics.
there is no use of these discussion if these discussion are held only for public awareness because guess what only people writing theses in public policy or maybe some css candidate will stumble upon that video sometime later down the road. These discussions should be held in parliament session as well where country's finest intelligentsia educates poorly educated ministers as not everyone in PMLN or PTI cadre is educated enough to understand challenges in public policy sphere.
It is also useful here as atleast people are making mind about privatization is a right thing. And when they will talk in parliament, there will be less resistence by public.
Curious why a medical physician, Dr. Nishtar is speaking on matters of national economics, especially since she has had no formal training in economics!
@@fizzajay2065 except I like to know. When someone is addressing people, especially discussing an important matter, knowing the person’s educational/training background worker lends credibility to the person or it doesn’t.
@@fizzajay2065 For Dr. Nishtar, it's one thing to base her comments on empirical knowledge, but not when you're addressing and are part of a discussion about the economics of a country. Dr. Ismail, on the other hand, does have a doctorate from UPenn/Wharton, a school that I'm intimately familiar with. Additionally his major and doctorate lend him immense credibility. Thank you for engaging in this discussion with me. Appreciate it.
look into more investment with IRAN they have a better education system metro roads infrastructure culture everything, stop trying to fix it from the inside, you need foreign investment and trade and help from neighbours china and Iran

Miftah is such an attention seeker. He is just not giving any creative solutions. He is only peeking through her arguments such as on accountability with traditional answers such as Ballot box is the only accountability. Such a lame and generic answer. Please give us a break. These people such as Miftah is a big problem for the system to be this way. You just utter bakwas when out of ministry but dont have creative solutions. Sania is talking sense and you feel threatened by it. Crazy!

we really lacked such discussion. much appreciated
Very healthy conversation and helpful to understand issues at the core. Please keep it up.
Dr Sania Nishter has complete grip on the issues. It is a pity that she is not allowed to contribute fully because of massive political divide.
incredible work IDEAS!
Thanks!

Conversation actually has widen my horizon about different dimensions of our economy.

So accountability is the answer. Media can play a role in that.Digitization can also play a role.

Miftaaah is logically valid in economics.
Well Miftah is making more sense here than Dr. Sania. Talking about ideal scenarios and bookish terms are not going to solve the issues for sure.
She is addressing the trends in Pakistan and is therefore fit to speak about the change we need

Nobody bothered explaining it and advertising it.
