This. I worked in restaurants for years and I always dreaded having to tell people to leave because they insisted on bringing in their misbehaving, barking, growling little ankle-biter of a dog.
And inevitably they’d insist it was a service dog or “emotional support animal” and therefore they should be allowed to bring it in.
Sometimes they’d produce those bogus “certificates” that their dog is a service dog (there’s no such certificate or license in the US).
They always threw the biggest fit when I’d recite the law to them, which includes that if the supposed service dog is a distraction or is poorly behaved, a restaurant (or any business) has every right to ask you to leave.
It’s to protect the business, the people there, but also to protect legit service dogs. So they don’t get attacked by these unruly fake ones.

Eventually my boss's dog passed away. Then my other buddies got dog's as well, we'd regularly take all of our dogs to the lake ,camping etc. There was four dogs all together. I know this, and as a result, I do not take her to public parks. I don't take her to stores. I walk her alone. The vet I take her t is aware of her aggressive nature. If she bit someone, it would have been something preventable. That said, if they wander over and try to pet her while I'm pulling her away and screaming 'do not touch she is not friendly' and they get bit, that's on them. =| She even has a collar that says 'Do Not Pet, Not Friendly' because apparently, me saying that outloud isn't enough.

I just don't understand people taking their dogs to a restaurant. (even a "dog friendly restaurant") Do you eat at home with your dogs? Do they sit at the table with you? Do the dogs enjoy the experience? How can you tell? I think some of these dogs need emotional support humans instead of these humans need emotional support dogs. We have a pitbull that is the sweetest girl in the world, but I would never take her to a public place and put her her in danger....

Defendant was very ignorant and incompetent in arguing her side. She admitted full fault and stated she should pay. She had to get help from the judge for her defense. She finally said something after the trial was done and over.
She could have easily won if she defended herself and put the blame on the plaintiff- she did the opposite .
Remember - if your at a trial , and something comes up to blame you, don’t affirm it and blame yourself more. Try ti argue against it, and say something that puts the blame on the other party.
People become experienced in these trials and become experts in articulation and rhetoric and can make the other party look blameworthy quite well.

    • @billmoran3219

So basically you are saying she should have lied? Both sides told their stories, she tried and failed to sensationalize her side of it while also claiming she is not responsible. Plaintiff just stated the facts, she had no leg to stand on, so weather she lied or not he had more physical evidence to win case.

    • @Shaikhofilm
      @Shaikhofilm 2 года назад +3

      @@billmoran3219
No . Always speak the truth. She could have said - “ I was there with my dog first minding my own business , then he came in with his dogs and brought them near my dogs. I tried to restrain my dogs, but his dogs provoked my dog too much and he broke out his collar. His dogs were twice the size of my dog, theb his dogs went near me my dog was defending me, and I tried my best to restrain him. The irresponsible plaintiff failed too leash his dogs close to him, but kept the leash extended till his dogs jumped on me. “ etc etc.
It’s a matter of talk and argumentation. Some lawyers are good at articulation and they can fool the best of judges .

    Hmmm....Restaraunt is dog friendly...
But how many *dogs* are *restaraunt* friendly?
    (genuine question)
Service dogs aside because they are trained to not focus on anything but their owner.
And yes, I know that it's not the behavior of the dog, it's the owner. That's actually more what my question means: How many PEOPLE actually make sure their DOG is safe in a public place like this? Like, imagine it was a small breed that got bit and not a person's finger...There could've been worse damage and an animal could've DIED during a mauling.
Plantiff does have some gorgeous dogs. ;o I have a bias toward the fluffier breeds, but am honestly a cat person above all. :P

First of all, do not ever take a dog aggressive canine anywhere where other dogs would be close range. Also, you have to be completely alert to your dogs movements and gestures, all while holding BY the collar, not a leash. A particularly strong dog may also need to be straddled. A prong collar is sometimes a must.
