    I got a gigantic pot of this gel off of Amazon and when it arrived it was super cold outside and that gel was so thick that I thought it had halfway cured in the jar lol (mine is in a white jar). I ended up putting the jar in hot water several times and that loosened it up somewhat but it's still too thick for me. I'm going to use it to make colored gel with, I guess. Definitely not using it just as is. I've gotten used to the consistency of Mia Secret Formagel and I love that stuff. Anyway, just finding your channel and I'm so happy to find someone else doing hard gel! There's not enough nail channels doing hard gel imo. New sub!

      Yeah, I have to warm it up everytime I use it too 🤣 when it gets warm its easier to work with, but I do prefer a medium viscosity over a thick. Ive never tried any of Mia secrets products, im in europe, havent seen it here. Is the formagel a regular hard gel or a hybrid? Id love to try their products. Ill be doing more hard gel nails in the near future, I do like other products but always go back to gel lol. Thank you so much for subscribing, I really appreciate it ❤

    I’m bummed to see how thick this is. I just ordered it, and now I wish I hadn’t. I have polygel, and I don’t use it. I like a medium viscosity. I don’t want it running away from me, but I DO want it to self level easily. Edit: Just got to where you said it self leveled. Well…. I guess I will have to see how it goes when I get it. I do live in a very hot, very humid climate, so maybe it will be thinner. But I also bought the big jar because I want to mix in stuff to make custom colors and glitter. But thick gels are great for that because the stuff you mix in makes it thicker.
    Update 1 month later: I got mine, and it is SUPER runny and thin. It’s absolutely perfect for what I wanted to use it for. I have Mia Secret and LGN gels for sculpting, and those are WAY thicker than the Saviland. Crazy how much different climates can change viscosity so much.

      Well, mine definately changes in the heat. I forgot it next to my heating fan the other day...it went from that greyish thick goo to clear and runny lol. Im going to start putting it on a Coffee heater now lol Really hope it works for you, it probably will if youre in a hot climate. Fingers crossed 🤗🤞

    I enjoyed watching your video. I use either hard gel or polygel. I've not got a Saviland one though. I also like to use full nail tips with builder gel. They stay on for 2/3 weeks. I have just found you, and I have subscribed to you ad hit the bell.

      Thank you 🥰❤ Most important thing is finding something that works for you. I use different gels on different clients and myself depending on what Im doing. Main reason I use Saviland alot is because its a decent, cheap product thats accessible to everyone 😁

    I just bought this builder gel. I have several UB and LED lamps. I believe LED is stronger than UV. I keep finding wide ranges of time to cure. How do we know if the Saviland Builder Gel is cured as intended for each stage?

    • @OhNoNails
      @OhNoNails  Год назад +1

      Girrrllll..this has been one of my peeves. I couldnt find it anywhere myself. In the end I emailed their official site.
      Their answer was 60-120sec in led and 120-180 in uv. This of course varies from lamp to lamp. Their reply was it has to be cured in a lamp ABOVE 36w. i have several lamps all 48w or more with fairly new bulbs/diodes. They cure. It will leave a sticky dispersion layer between layers regardless. So my tip would be to tap the nail with the back end of a brush. If its cured it will give a sharp tapping sound. If its more a hollow bump its not cured.
      Hope this answered your question xx

      There is and inhibition stickiness between curing coats but other building gels don't need wiping off but this? I guess because when shaping it peels off

    Pls help, I have the same gel but mine is really like watery… it’s not thick. I cure it on the lamp even for 120 seconds and it just doesn’t cure, I live in Fl so idk if it’s the weather that’s affecting the gel to be in that consistently or what

    • @OhNoNails
      @OhNoNails  2 года назад +2

      If its very watery because its hot you could try putting it in the refridgerator a little while before use. Do you know the wattage of your lamp? I used a 48 w uv/led to cure it

    No base coat?

    • @OhNoNails
      @OhNoNails  2 года назад

      Sometimes if I sculpt a thin free edge I will do prep first. Then sculpt a free edge and cure. Then basecoat that I pull over nailplate and extension and cure before removing the forms. Some forms are so sticky and hard that the free edge snaps. Applying base over the free edge gives a little more strength. I hadnt tried this before so I didnt want to risk it snapping. So I have used one in the video. I did use a soak off however, just so I dont have to file all the way down all the time because Im always doing my nails. So thats perhaps a little unconventional 😊
      I always use primer and base, if I didnt they wouldnt last 2 hours even xx
