    Always the master salesmen:
    This strap is stiff from the factory, all the good ones are.
    This strap is soft out of the box, like all good straps should be.
    😂

    I was offered this watch on Thursday and I said yes to it today. This is my first PP. I hope I made the right decision.

    Not a fan of this watch at all to be honest. Tried one on at an AD and it felt WAY too large. Wore more like a 43 mm pancake given how wide and flat it was rather than 39 mm.
    Also glad that Tim mentioned the lack of interior angles. For a $32k retail watch from one of the most prestigious watch manufacturers, to not have any interior angles is a disgrace. Especially considering the fact that vintage Calatravas that cost less than half the price have about 2-3 each (and are much better finished overall).

      I had the same experience though I referred to it like having a dinner plate on your wrist… 🤣 maybe a dinner plate with a pancake in it…Tim inho it does look too big on you because its so elegantly thin..pity it’s a great watch if you have a bigger than average or flat wrist..Could try the new 1908?

      Also the engraved text on the movement is upside down compared to the dial

      I don't miss interior angles but caliber ps 215 had polished and beveled teeth on the mainspring barrel and ratchet wheel that was truly marvelous to behold.

    That watch is already too big for your 16cm wrist, on how earth it could look good on someone with a 14cm wrist????

    One watch that actually looks better in photos/videos than in reality…

  • @Imagination918
    @Imagination918 4 месяца назад +3

    Tim always exaggerates on how a large watch can fit a smaller wrist size. 39mm with no curvature, cannot fit down to a 14mm wrist. Maybe even 13.5mm? Preposterous…….

    • @AjejeB
      @AjejeB 4 месяца назад

      Yes it’s ridiculous. Look at the example from this video: that watch is clearly too big for him. Look at the lugs how they actually go beyond the edge of his wrist, and you can see light underneath the lugs, and he still tells you that it’s rightly sized. This watch should be worn by wrists larger that 16cm. This watch is modelled for an 18cm wrist.

    All the writing on the movement is upside down in reference to the dial ? That's pretty annoying.

      Actually not. It’s right side when you flip the watch over by the strap.

    It's very handsome in so many ways. Just a thought how difficult it must be to squeeze out one more second of accuracy across the board to be head to head with +- 2sd of Rolex. I can imagine the engineer is pulling their hair out.

      No one and I mean no one with the money or inclination to buy that watch could care less about its accuracy to that degree, if at all. Rolex is not their concern. That’s silly talk.

      @waterfordrs22 Why even state accuracy if it isn't important. Clearly, it is one of the bookmarks for comparisons, and it goes way back to time trials. Also, having the money to purchase a Patek doesn't make you a watch expert or not. If it's no big deal, meet the challenge. Look a little deeper and don't fool yourself they lost the privilege of Genève seal due to using silicon hairspring and for marketing purposes advertised as for accuracy. Reality they save dollars and skilled watch makers time for regulation unfortunately
      most people will never have that information.

    Looks like from the sale of these over-priced watches, you might want to invest in sone hand lotion. Damn, those nuggets are dry. 😂😂😂
