Thanks! Yeah I'd like to know that as well. Although there are probably a few things, like at 04:25 I could have ended the battle directly by placing the Dire Wolf somewhere else. Although those are hard to judge too because you get more teeth this way
@@palchumfriend4887 as explained above the misplay counter is a joke stat, but in that case it would be hard to tell it's a misplay because maybe I want to keep the fan!
I remember reading the patch notes for Kaycee's Mod. Someone deciphered the actual equation they had for calculating 'misplays' but I don't know the math so I didn't understand it
The method I got was rng based. I just got a really good set of circumstances. Ant totem on insects with a roach did the trick for me. You can continuously sac the ants for more bones, for more roaches, and get more ants. It beats the bears without much effort. Only caveat is you need 4 bones to infinite start the roach.
Haven’t even gotten close to skull storm myself but I think I’m gonna try and incorporate strats that were here into my runs to try and get there and maybe even complete it myself.
@@Helixw Glad to hear, though fortunately I also prefer the three blood moose stuff. I’m gonna be doing as many skulls as possible with each run in prep for the skull storm I think, and tbh I imagine a lot of it is luck as well
Small tip, you can take one ring worm and keep buffing it at a campfire to poison the survivors. This way you will always get 2 boosts at campfires for the rest of the run
Yes, this is a very good strategy for the Mantis god deck, but in this case one can't afford to have any other 1 blood cost card than the black goat, in order to topdeck it.
Was playing Vanilla one time, and I buffed the worm at the campfire hoping it'd die, but I ending up with something like a 5-6 worm in the end after multiple campfires cuz I was just super "lucky" (unlucky?) and it was never eaten. Then a got a poison deer to kill them instead cuz my worm was awesome and I didn't want to actually lose it now.
the entire time i sat here watching with my jaw on the floor. those DRAWS!!!! i am very bad at the game, just beat level 2 today lol so i'm gonna try your strats and hope it helps!!! :D
If you don’t know how the fair hand mechanic works it basically guarantees you can play at least one of your cards on your starting draw. Since the black goat is the only one blood you’ll always get it since it’s the only card you can play.
you did waste your ✂️ at 24:30 mole guy wouldve tanked and died to grizzle. but the misplay counter is fake. you can check it online somewhere they explain how it is random
Yeah true but to be honest I really wanted to get a clean hit on Leshy. The actual misplay was to not cut the mole guy the turn earlier when I hesitated, because it got a free hit on me
Before choosing the obviously easiest moose topdeck, I tried to do skull storm with the geck deck to see how long I could last. Without noticing, I managed to beat it second try with that deck. I haven't beaten skull storm ever until that point.
For my winning run I ended up always going pack for the Pack Rat, since the item drops from it aren't actually random; They're based off of what cards you play/how many you play per turn, in order. Meaning it's possible to salvage a really bad run by always getting Scissors/Knife/Hourglass/Paint whenever you need them. Same actually goes for the Trader's cards and what sigils they have, but it's a lot less useful since you can't keep them. Only downside to this strat is requiring you to figure out what combination of cards results in what items, but considering Skull Storm's crazy RNG requirements it can help get more consistent runs going.
For bosses I used an Undying (sigil from cockroach) Beehive, tried to have the least possible amount of cards (10 cards while at least 3/4 of them can oneshot/tank an encounter is good), got a tons of Undying bees before second phase of bosses and just tank with the army of bees It's VERY long, but this method does not require tools, which is more RNG based than getting 2 cards and fuse them
22:09 I know this is like 4 months after you did this, but there was an easier way you could've done this fight. If you played the rattler and used it to play the dire wolf, it would have enough damage to kill a bear in front of it and finish off leshy in 1 turn. I think that's a bit easier than tanking the bears honestly (even if what you did also had a 100% chance of success)
Wow good catch! Been a while, but I didn't see this at all. Didn't consider the apple/morsel sigil. Would have made this part way less stressful; that was the hardest fight in the run by far!
14:07 you should have gone for the 1 cost hoarder imo, grizzly just takes place and makes it less likely to get one of your 6 damage cards even if you fused it later it still took time over saccing maggots
Hoarder is a very good sigil but taking this 1 blood cost card would prevent me from topdecking goats. Even if I pick a goat when playing the hoarder card, it's a lost turn basically. Plus as you say, the grizzly has pretty neat sigils too, and I was sure to fuse it later.
I have played Inscryption on ps5 done this and also got the platinum aftter getting agonizing remorse and master trinketeer (i was a bit too lazy to get them before). Thanks for all the tips! (took 3 tries if anyone cares to see this comment, like, ever)
Thank you so much for this suggestion. I kept trying the mantis deck but it just demands so much to go right in the first map (buffing mantis, deleting ringworms, getting items for grizzlies) it just wasn't working for me. Did it my first try with the high cost deck
Yes, this is a very good strategy for the Mantis god deck, but in this case we can't afford to have any other 1 blood cost card than the black goat, in order to topdeck it
The misplay counter seems like a load of bull to me. I'll have the occasional seemingly flawless run and see "16 misplays" on there and it drives me nuts
Topdeck refers to cards that are sitting at the top of your deck, and hence that you will draw next. In Inscryption, you will always topdeck the lowest blood cost card in your deck at the start of a fight.
9 misplays still???? i wish i could tell what the game defined as misplays cause that entire go seemed flawless to me
Thanks! Yeah I'd like to know that as well. Although there are probably a few things, like at 04:25 I could have ended the battle directly by placing the Dire Wolf somewhere else. Although those are hard to judge too because you get more teeth this way
@@Helixw 8:03 you couldve used the fan to finish. maybe that counted as a misplay

25:03, I absolutely didn't know that cannonballs only deal 10 damage.

Glad it worked for you! I usually avoid totems because while they can be very powerful, they are like you said very rng based.

Holy, thats why i suck with a 1 blood cost deck. I was thinking that using 2 bloods cards will give me bad hands in first turn
I enjoyed that very much! thank you for uploading it.

It actually is. Will just get higher the longer the run is; random chance to increment by one at every turn apparenty.
in the trapper fight why didn't you play moose on the open space in the beginning? it seemed really obvious to me.
Because I'd trigger the grizzly phase and get destroyed on the spot. I was forced to temporize until my hand was strong enough.

You culdve get ringworm to kill at a canpfire doe
ringworm risks sacrificial goat not being in your initial draw, compromising the engine's reliability.
