      Thank you for the feedback and kind words, Deborah! I am not familiar with the Harvard way of referencing because I teach only MLA and APA to my students. According to what I found, it looks like the style is similar to the others but uses the author's last name, year, and page number if you use a direct quote. Example: Pakenham states that "..." (2014, p. 56). or at the end of the sentence: ... (Pakenham 2014). Again, you would add the page number if you use a direct quote.

    Thank you very much for this rich and valuable video. But, allow to ask you a question: During timed essay tests, we are often given prompts about topics that we aren't familiar with; how are we supposed to include evidence? Noting that we are not permitted access to any source of research.

    • @LearnAcademicEnglish
      @LearnAcademicEnglish  3 года назад

      Hi Issam, that is a good question! Usually on timed essay tests, the teacher does not expect you to include evidence from outside sources. Instead, you can try to use stories or examples from your personal experience to support your ideas.

    what is courtroom? is it cimininal will be judge and the room would make decision for his crime called on the us? and if i have something wrong in my grammar can you to fix it in every comment cause i need more fix my grammar and i would be grateful for it.

    • @LearnAcademicEnglish
      @LearnAcademicEnglish  4 года назад

      Yes, the courtroom is the room where the judge makes a decision. However, in the U.S., we also have a group of people that is called a jury. They make the decision if the person is innocent or guilty.
      Here's a correction: You said "if i have something wrong in my grammar can you to fix it in every comment cause i need more fix my grammar and i would be grateful for it." Notice that in English, the pronoun I is always with a capital letter. Also, you need to add commas and separate this into a question and a sentence. Here is the correction:
      "If I have something wrong in my grammar, can you to fix it in every comment? I need to fix my grammar, so I would be grateful for it."
