Mam may u check those and put this ✔️ for correct ones and ❌ for wrong once .
And many congratulations for you 12k subscribers wishing you good luck for future ⚡
Mam which one would you prefer using ?
1st one
Or
2nd one
I told you that we were here .
I told you that i have done my homework .
I told you that i completed my homework .
I told you that i had. completed my homework.
She said that i can do this .
She said that i could do this .
She said that she might go there .
She said she may go their .
I told you that she has completed that .
I told you that i completed my homework.
I told you that i was working.
I told you that i am working.
I said that i have been searching for last 3hrs .
I said that i had been searching for last 3hrs .
I don't really know which one I prefer because we use different ones for different situations. According to the grammar rules, you need to follow the rules for reported speech (I told you that I was working).
For example:
I said that i have been searching for last 3hrs .
I said that i had been searching for last 3hrs .
The first one is wrong according to the grammar rules.
But in reality, we don't always follow those rules when we are speaking.
@@LearnAcademicEnglish mam it means when we start sentences with the past so it must end with the past ..
Means
I thought you were there .
Not
I thought you are there .
Which one is the correct professor?
I thought you must do this
I thought you should do this
I thought you might do this .
Please help! I am supposed to write a summary and opinion on a scholar’s essay

Sentences #2+: Most important ideas of the article in order:
Last sentence: Your thesis for the response. What ideas will you respond to?
Paragraph #2: Response Idea #1
Idea from the article:
Your response idea:
Support for your response:
Paragraph #3: Response Idea #2
Idea from the article:
Your response idea:
Support for your response:
Paragraph #4: Conclusion Repeat your main ideas from your response paragraphs:
I hope that helps. Good luck!

@@Denise-yj3se Hi Denise, Unfortunately, I don't have time tomorrow because I will be working (I teach English at a college). I also don't know why Instagram is allowing people to make appointments because I never set that up. That's so strange!
I don't have much time, but I can send you an example if that would help. I will send you something on Instagram.
@@LearnAcademicEnglish I would greatly appreciate it!
