it is also worth watching the 11 minute film about the making of this excellent cover because the interaction of the two is amazing , you can see how robin was really going to go for it in a more overstated way but how the power of bobbys work made him reign it in and do the piece with more musicality . That was the great gift of williams the fact that he could ride rough shod in a manic style over any other person in the place , but he never put his vanity and ego above a great performance

The excellent CD on which this appears, IN MY LIFE, was the last recording ever produced by Sir George, who hung it up due to hearing loss. Jim Carrey's version of "I Am The Walrus" is equally outstanding. Other artists featured include Sean Connery, Goldie Hawn, Phil Collins, Jeff Beck, and even Celine Dion.

Actor & comedian Robin Williams has passed away at his home in Los Angeles. I was first "introduced to his special talent as an actor via, what I think was his best movie & most enthralling performance, that of the movie "The World According to Garp". If you have not yet seen that movie, I highly recommend that you do so. The movie had a profound effect on me & certainly broadened my acceptance of people & ideals I had not ye fully encompassed during my thus far, path of learning & understanding. An absolute joy of a movie ! The next of his movies that I enjoyed was the hilarious, yet thought provoking "Good Morning Vietnam". Brilliant soundtrack as well ! Thereafter I found his sense of humour to be a bit off the wall & maniacal, possibly due to his increasing consumption of "Colombian Marching Dust". May he RIP. Thanks Robin for adding your own sense of zany humour which stimulated us & brought us much joy !
