I was lucky enough to stand behind him and was singing in the choir (Jazzchor Freiburg)
I didn't have the guts to come to front to sing with the Maestro ...

@@yassinsuleiman655 Because I had the great honor to share the stage with him once, It was in 2010, at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, that was extraordinary. I was not the only one, about ten people went up on stage that night and they were all professional artists, like I am too. None of us were afraid by the time. I was lucky to be chosen and I wish everyone could live that experience in life. It's wonderful, a kinda thnig you can't never forget. ;)

@@yassinsuleiman655 You're right. Everyone of them is not meant to go on stage, but each time it happens, these are professional artists. It's logical in a way. Artists are used to be in front of an audience, and they have no fear at all, so when Bobby ask, as he does generally speaking in almost all his concerts, people to come with him and sing, they are the first to stand up from their chair and run on stage...
I love how he introduces a beat with the second one; it forces the other guy to change up his style, go into Bobby's pace and then switch it back up again when the guy gets in his comfort zone.
At 4:09 when he perfectly arpeggiates a C7aug5 chord was mindblowing. The level of improvisation and vocal control is crazy.
I love Bobby. He is not only a great musician but also a great warm-hearted human being :-)
I didn't. I had to put the notes onto a keyboard and figure it out. I'm genuinely mindblown by the skill involved here and you cant take that away sorry.
c medeiros is correct. Not a C7aug5. That would have had a very dissonant and almost minor sound (despite being augmented). It is just a standard C major arpeggio (CEGC) but he began with the M7 that he has moved to as a neighbor tone before the arpeggio started. Basically it was a suspended neighbor tone.
Call me when you can hit that chord as perfectly as Bobby.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE how he inspires men to use all of their voices and take vocal risks! So amazing!
This works every time. I've seen so many concerts of Bobby and I even sing with him once during one of his concert in Paris. All invited singers are generally real artists in life, they often can sing well and it works almost every time. This man is a blessing for this. I wish every human being can sing on stage with him, it brings peace, joy and eternal souvenir...
this is simply amazing!! when two people who haven't met before, communicate with vocal music with no words, and have great fun doing it. true inspiration!

In India we call this kind of playful competing "jugalbandi" but it's limited to 2 or 3 specialists showing off their variations and mastery in one instrument. This, OTOH, is a whole new level. Amazing. They should pick up this idea and make it a prime time competition format or something.
It's not a competition! Making music with something else is whole other level of spiritual bonding and expanding oness in humanity!
What fun anyone with any kind of voice and a little improv could have with Bobby!
..I wasn't blessed with vocal ..but I think ...next to him..I will become a opera singer..no kidding..

I did it once in Paris. I'll never forget that moment. I'm desperately trying to find images of the concert (It was the 3rd may 2010 for my 40th birthday). I wish everyone could live a moment like this in his life...
