Why Now is the Perfect Time for 1st Person Mode in Fortnite

- With Fornite finding itself widening it's player base with the likes of Fortnite Festival, LEGO, and Rocket Racing they have let the BR mode fall into a position that needs a lot of attention.
And with so many other BR's like Call of Duty struggling to please it's playerbase - would this be the perfect time for Epic to release 1st person mode?

having the option to switch between 1st and 3rd person FOV would be actually Game changing- just like when they introduced Zero Builds, the revival of old/new players flooding in to see the changes would double their numbers. Building/editing in 1st person would definitely make it feel like a whole new game and it'd be sick to see it happen one day.

He was like more like a pub G where it has an option to have first person and third person mode but then just like third person only first person only have more options

Honestly this speculation is not too far from what could happen. But also, looking at the development of Fortnite. Reamaking the game in first person would not only be hard but time consuming. A risk that Epic 99% sure wont take on. They would have to remake all the trajectory code for granades, all animations for all weapons and equipment, how the camera works in general and so much more. It's not as simple as just moving the camera into the player like some games do, this would introduce so many glitches into the game. Idk, seems quite far fetched.

Fortnite just announced that they are making a first person camera device for creative, but if they did it in battle royale, I feel like it would ruin the whole game, and making it a settings option wouldn't work either cause it would be unfair, I think they should just stick to only having it in creative

I played Fortnite when they released the Zero build mode and from that time until now I'm still playing it imo first person will finally add some real spicy flavor to the game because third person easy most of the time I can't wait man
ill pick no bloom over better fov any day, and fortnites animations are really ugly imo, especially the sprint animation

Great work on this!!!! Definitely an interesting perspective. I’m not entirely convinced first person would bring a surge of new players just because of the kids game stigma - personally I prefer zero builds just because I hate building so I get why that brought a lot of new players. I don’t think people avoid fortnite because it’s a third person game. But it would be cool to have a new mode and see the map from a new perspective and I’d be curious to see if it grows the popularity of the game!

Bro really just called Battlefront 2 2017 bad in 2024.
I guess you didn't hear but all pay to win mechanics were removed and you don't have to pay credits to unlock a hero. There is even a Celebration Edition that gives you all of the cosmetics you can acquire through spending credits
