1:18 - if you let it steep for 3-10 minutes depending on preference before plunging all the way down the coffee will taste even better.

Not sure if I want French Press coffee. You'll be drinking coffee grounds during the process.

Actually the press is pretty good at keeping the grinds from getting into your coffee so long as you keep the press centred and straight. Tilt it slightly and some grinds will get through.
